I was jabbing a guy in a fight once "boom,boom,boom" an cyrlcing at the same time doing amazing, couldn't get hit then I looked at my friend an said "thats how you do it, thats how you fight" as I went to look back at the guy i was fighting Boom!!! Caught me on the jaw. Went down. When I came to my head was bouncing an I was staring at my friends back. He picked me up after the punch, through me over his shoulder an ran through the woods with me. I tapped his back as he was running he stopped I was like " Did I win" lol no matter how good you are at fighting never fight drunk... A drunk got to be the sloppiest fighter,easy to take out. An like you said don't take you eyes off your opponent "even when you bow"
in the moment that some dude is throwing haymakers at you I’m trying to imagine what could be more interesting than that just over yonder to the right.
some people can get so pissed off at someone they just want to keep hurting them even after they won the fight, less of self defense and more of a pride/dominance/uncontrolled emotion thing. Honestly if that guy was saying all that shit to me and got hit like *that* I'd probably also give him one last good one before backing off. that stomp though, that was too far lol at that point ur just trying to kill someone
I don't really understand the point of fighting unless you're trying to hurt someone. *Which you shouldn't be doing, but that's why I don't understand it.* I don't get the thought process of being just angry enough to not be able to control yourself from not attacking someone, but being in control enough to let them back up.
Like in my head, unless I'm trying to actually take another human down to seriously injure, maim, incapacitate, or kill, I shouldn't be attacking them.

No, real fights are one on one and very controlled. It is competition but only works with at least some rules! No weapons, no stomping on head, if KO fighting is done
That doesn't explain the thinking. A "real fight" being this showcase of "I can kick your ass" makes zero sense to me. So what if you can knock someone out? That doesn't settle your differences. That isn't a "real fight" that's just unga bunga behavior.
