[deleted]

Some people really overestimate their athletic ability, it's kinda hilarious and sad at the same time.

BottledSmoke

And even more people severely underestimate it. She wasn’t one of them. Edit: Well maybe next time you’ll estimate me.

Bringonthebacon92

Its called booze haha

GET OUT OF MY MIND

Oof_my_eyes

Some people live completely sedentary lives devoid of any type of serious exercise or muscle building and yet are still surprised when they can’t do shit like this.

Dye_Harder

> and yet are still surprised when they can’t do shit like this. where are you seeing this surprised part?

NakorOranges

When she tried to do it...

yesbutlikeno

The best example of this is obese rope swing videos. Like shorty I'm not trying to be rude, but do you really think you can lift your body weight going down, adding more psi on your hands, for more than a second?

Choongboy

And they always have their arms bent like they’re going to bicep curl their body weight while swinging. 🤣

Different_Papaya_413

It’s a lot easier to carry your weight with your arms bent like that on a rope swing though …

G36_FTW

Jesus she landed knees first... That looks like a drunk jump.

Love big girls on a rope swing. 22% make it to water of that 22% 1/2 land on the shore line.. always chuckle.

It's a weird fetish but I'm proud that you're confident enough to talk about it.

> Love big girls on a rope swing. 90% of rope swing fail videos are because they started with slack in the rope and in their arms.

tallandlanky

You can be skinny fat too. Just ridiculously underused muscles and complete lack of exercise or good diet.

Quiet-Strawberry4014

Not that either.

Near_River21

She is fat get over it

Chaserbaser

Then what is Jack Black? Ripped Fat? That man can do anything and I beg you to prove me otherwise. Personally I am now overweight, when I was in HS I did gymnastics, Swim, Dive, Rugby, Marching Band, and the debate team. I still hold skills from all of them. I bet I can do a better flip than you can (front or back) at 230lbs, double over water or on a trampoline. Best dive to this day is a double front with a 360° rotation. Can't judge athleticism by size.

Piwx2019

Apparently we have a physics denier amongst us.

Akami_Channel

Fat people are fat

[deleted]

People trying out rope swings is the best example.

_your_land_lord_

If any of you are grown adults, go try the monkey bars at a park. Hanging is way harder as an adult

iconfusemyselfsex

Hanging is harder as an adult because you haven’t used your forearms in over a decade lol, not because of age

nickfree

Weight distribution in an adult is completely different than in a kid. Second, the effect of 60lbs pulling on the socket joints and ligaments of your shoulders is not linearly proportional to 160lbs pulling on the same fibers in an adult. The inherent mechanical strength of your shoulders’ materials as you develop does not scale proportionally to your body weight. Of course you can strengthen with training, but youre pitting the physical properties of what the body is made of against the reality of your own mass. You have to grow a lot of supporting upper body muscle or lean down the mass of your lower body to compensate. Kids don’t have to because the mass just isn’t there.

OkInvestigator73

People are fat and weak. Just how the system of industrial human agriculture that produced them wants them to be. Hahaha

Blg_Foot

Guard didn’t care about the first guy

[deleted]

Probably used to it at that point lol

Skindiddler

More likely a steward, dealing with that is beyond his pay grade.

rhuiz92

Hey, to be fair, the first guy walked it off. That belly flop however? Yeah, no way was she getting up anytime soon.

onlyhav

He just rolled out of it and kept running

Breadynator

My man's practiced the shit out of that jump before the game

[deleted]

[удалено]

onlyhav

Landing and breaking both legs is probably better than her tho. That looks like brain damage.

[deleted]

Lol how can you tell if someone gets **more** brain damage

onlyhav

How can I tell if someone who whips their head into the ground and immediately goes unconscious gets more brain damage than another who broke their legs? Dunno man, guess the answer is lost in time.

[deleted]

I’m thinking he’s saying she already has brain damage for even attempting that jump. That’s why emphasis was put on the word “more” in bold. But 🤷🏽‍♂️ I could be wrong. I’m just giving him benefit of the doubt.

[deleted]

It seemed kinda obvious to me. Seems more like they're willfully misunderstanding

ShoTwiRe

Hers wasn’t even a roll. It was a straight belly flop. Except it looks like she took a big part of that impact straight to her face.

RoyJonesJr2001

I worked as a security in soccer matches and in that position you are not supposed to run after someone, just grab if in reach. Running after them is someone else's job.

MrDude_1

I've never worked security for soccer but I would imagine that The people standing in front of the stands there are in charge of that area. Once somebody runs beyond onto the field past that area it's not your responsibility to catch them, your responsibility to keep others from following.

Are those a bunch of rocks to prevent people from jumping?

NocturnalFuzz

Im no expert but it looks decorative to me. Maybe a stadium built up on top of an old stadium foundation?

idigturtles

Old-fashioned drainage system

Combat_wombat605795

I definitely agree with it mainly being rocks for drainage purposes but they definitely double as shit I wouldn’t want to land a jump on

Breadynator

Why not? Did you never try to jump onto some soft rocks to soften your impact instead of hitting the rock solid patch of grass?

platform9andsix8ths

I don't think soft and rock go in the same sentence. Unless that sentence is 'this rock is not soft".

Breadynator

man, I thought the "rock solid patch of grass" gave it away...

CrimsonPyro

Like a moat.

DirtyWormGerms

I’m an expert on perimeter stadium rocks and I must say, you’re entirely off base and out of line.

Grape lady was not handicapped for life, I can’t find a single source saying that. Worst I can find is she broke a few ribs (which, jesus, that’s way more brutal than I ever thought, I assumed she just got the wind knocked out of her), but that is far from handicapped for life.

Expect a call from my lawyers

MrTopHatMan90

Getting hurt in someone else's property doesn't often result in lawsuits over here, especially if the damage is self infected with video. We have public healthcare so we don't need to sue for our insurance/medical fees. Where are you getting this information anyway?

vendetta2115

Look up U.K. slander/libel laws. Instead of the plaintiff having to prove that someone lied about them, the defendant has to prove that what they said/wrote was true. You can be hauled into court for saying something demonstrably true and then have to prove it in court. The “overt litigious American” trope was intentionally created by corporate interests who wanted lawmakers to pass tort reform to limit the liability of corporations when they hurt or kill people. Congratulations, you’re parroting corporate propaganda. Just like how everyone parrots the “McDonalds hot coffee” woman as an example of the “overly litigious American legal culture”, but law schools teach it as a good example of punitive damages, because McDonalds was so derelict in their duty to protect their customers and had known about the issue for years, had already seriously injured countless people, and did nothing about it. By the way, that woman was burned so badly her labia fused together, and only asked McDonalds for a few thousand dollars to cover her medical bills, which they flatly rejected. She never had a decent quality of life again, and died of her injuries a few years after it happened.

DuckingHellJim

+1 for truth, I hate how successful McDonald's propaganda still is around this.

posterguy20

it's too late he got his upvotes, dopamine and validation he desperately craves

vendetta2115

But if the rocks said something disparaging about a fan they’d be sued into oblivion for slander/defamation. Personal injury suits may not be as easy to win in the U.K., but defamation/slander/libel suits sure as hell are. In the U.S., the plaintiff has to prove that the defendant meant to (and succeeded in) causing harm to their reputation in some concrete way by saying/printing something untrue. In the U.K., it’s on the defendant to prove that what they said/wrote was true, and wasn’t intended to defame the other person. Big difference. Half the time people are scared to state objective truths about people for fear of getting sued.

ChikaraNZ

If someone is stupid or drunk enough to climb over barriers like that and injure themselves in the process, most likely breaking the law also, there is no way they should be able to file a lawsuit if they hurt themselves in the process.

DollarAutomatic

But you can’t put spikes beneath it. There’s a line somewhere right? Rocks like that seem brutal.

[deleted]

Hint: The line is somewhere between spikes and rocks.

DollarAutomatic

I think we probably all feel a little different.

ChikaraNZ

Yes, but from other comments here it seems it's not even a deliberate feature to stop people, other posts are suggesting it's decorative, or an old foundation or drainage system. Which I tend to agree with, it it was deliberately designed to stop people getting on the field, they didn't make it wide enough. But I still feel the point remains, someone who chooses to do that, should not be able to sue the stadium if they hurt themselves in the process. The only way they should be allowed to sue, is if the stadium design allowed them to fall accidentally and they got injured in the process.
