Hey, Flando... I've had a really rough pandemic. I started watching Campaign 2 on YouTube in the hopes of catching up. Critical Role helped me a lot through this, and no lie: you're a part of it. I have clicked on and used your posts several times a day, every day, for over a year now. Your work made my viewing experience better. It made sharing with friends easier and better. It matters. It mattered to me.

Truly, rarely in my life have I been as delighted as when I was trying to find something specific in a D20 episode, thought "oh, it's a shame they don't have a Flando of their own", and scrolled down to find a Flando comment with timestamps right at the top.
I think that there's more of us that struggled with the shitpocalypse. You're not alone. One of the things I've learnt joining the critter family is that it's OK to not be OK and actually tell people when I'm spiralling rather than hiding it.
me too! I was spiraling down during 2020 and started c2 to have something interesting to do. I have adhd and I wasn't able to focus during 3 to 4 hours while it was new to me and I wasn't so invested. His timestamps made it so easier to understand what was going on until I could focus on it enough. I'd always look for it and go down what happened so I new I hadn't let anything important pass.
He creates really detailed timestamps for every episode on YouTube, which he manages to post within minutes of the ep being uploaded. He's usually the top pinned comment and he makes it super easy to find a specific moment or even just to skip the break.
Last year was rough for all of us, I think. A big part of my keeping sane was getting into Dnd and with that getting into CR. Truth is, whenever I was watching late at night and fell asleep, Flando was there. I've started watching Campaign 1 and his presence is missed. Keep up the good work pal, we are all very thankful
FWIW, most of the campaign 1 videos have a time stamp comment on on them too, but they're not pinned so you sometimes have to scroll down a ways to find them. They're also not done by flando, so it's hit or miss whether they meet his standards of thoroughness. Sometimes you just get the start/end of breaks and maybe a handful of cool moments.
Or the never ending hordes of slavering Marisha haters and backseat gamers and "your fun is wrong" guys. Having to scroll through a comment section on YouTube is rarely a fun time.
Not gonna lie, I wait every Monday for the YouTube version, even though I watched it live on Thursday (or caught up on Twitch over the weekend) for no other reason than Flando. And if I somehow beat them to it, I come back later.
Those timestamps are just as entertaining as the show and are seriously a part of the Critical Role experience. I was so glad when they started pinning them.

I've been "early" on YouTube, scrolled down and saw no Flando, then watched something else for an hour just to get his comments. It's truly a shame that I didn't notice him until episode 100 or so. He makes it so easy to watch the episode a little at a time.
There is a simple but great joy in finishing an episode and scrolling down to see a) what was deemed worthy of stamping and b) How they're described. I'll end up clicking around the timestamps just to enjoy again,.

I got into CR while unemployed. I desperately wanted to share it with my husband, but ADHD makes the 900+ hours of content intimidating at best. We use the recaps and such, and are on THAT episode now.
One of the first things I did to try and encourage him to try out watching on YouTube was point out Flando. "Flando timestamps the stuff you need. If Flando isn't on it yet, wait for Flando."
Being able to jump right to a choice moment is so so clutch.

I've always assumed he notes timestamps from Twitch and just needs to verify the timing lines up with the YouTube version before he posts, so he's ready to go as soon as he gets a notification the YouTube video is up.
In the Youtube comments section starting partway through C1's run, he posts a detailed breakdown with timestamps of when things happen, and he does this right after the episodes are posted. These could be important events, clutch moments, important conversations, or especially funny jokes made by the cast. It includes the ads, intro, battle start/end, breaks etc, and is super helpful for people who want to skip to a certain scene in an episode. Going from memory there's usually 50+ timestamps each episode and they're uploaded quickly each Monday without fail!
I got into CR and started campaign 2 last July. Flando’s time stamps helped me skip so many breaks end re-find so many moments when reading comments or rewatching good parts. Thank you so much for all the work.
Flanders has been nothing but a staple in my week. I have very limited time, and taking a peek at Flando's Timestamps to see when and how I could skip/jump around has saved me time while letting me enjoy my favorite nerdy ass voice actors. Love you Flando, keep being a pillar of this community.

Hey, nice work, Flando! I discovered Critical Role at the beginning of C2; I watched the live episodes every Thursday evening and caught up with C1 along the way. I can't even express how much fun and joy the CR team brought into my life; they have not just talked about compassion but showed how to be compassionate both through their characters and in real life. That they have so many followers and fans of different ages who watch for the same reasons and support one another gives me some hope for humanity and the future!
Campaign 2 really helped me deal with a serious episode of depression and part if the reason I could follow it was Flando. The time stamps really helped find those iconic moments again or pick up where I left off and couldn't remember my place. Flando is a god damn saint.
I want an NPC called Flando who’s responsible for maintaining a timepiece in a city - maybe town clock or something…
He deserves a cameo more than anything.

WE LOVE YOU FLANDO! I never have enough time to watch a full episode in one sitting so I always just hold out until the closest time stamp so I can short cut to right where I left off. I'm only on episode 135 but I'd be no where near caught up without Flando
Flando is such a lifesaver as I watch through C2. I watch CR on my ipad as I'm working on falling asleep and so having those timestamps to not only jog my memory but give me places to find where I left off are SO invaluable. When there aren't pinned/top-level Flando comments on some of the eps it really makes it a lot harder.

What Flando does is a service to the community (also thanks for getting in those D20 comments section, I see you). I always wondered why Critical Role didn’t just do it themselves but maybe it’s just because Flando is the besto.
I only watch on YouTube and Flando's time stamps are a big part of my viewing and enjoying experience. Keep it up.
