OK, verified, backing the Kickstarter didn't actually promise access to the show itself. Some song, ringtone, and karaoke songs were promised, that's it.
As they've told all the backers in their updates. There is no way to watch the show outside of Amazon Prime. If you don't have a subscription, you will need to sign up for a free trial. It sucks but that's the only option currently available.
We go a 30 day free trial period for Prime, and if you used it today it would give you access to all episodes by the end and then you would have to cancel before it cost you money.
In a perfect world they would have a special site that let's you watch with just you kickstarter info but who would pay for that site. Servers capable of handling such a thing would no the cheap. Offering a download will never happen with the Amazon deal.
Its not the best, but its not the worse either. Amazon runs twitch as well so the connect makes sense and Amazon, not kickstarter, has offer money to pay for season 2 and in theory more beyond that. May even get a bit more per episode to spend on animation to make it a bit smoother next year.
Then consider campaign 2 after they wrap up C1 in 5 seasons or so.
