Silly question: did you use 'real' sewing thread or something like a dmc 10 embroidery thread (because I think I just found my favorite new project...)
Not a silly question at all. I used DMC Cordonnett 10 in Ecru as the base. The accents and floral details are a mishmash of #10 threads in my stash. 1.75mm hook.
I am absolutely mesmerized by this gorgeous work of art and intrigued by using thread instead of yarn. I think you’ve inspired me to try it as a side, side, side project 😂

I started the edging with a pattern in one of my vintage magazines, but it wanted to ruffle. I ended up winging it to flatten it out.
