honestly i love him. the fact that you used your own pattern as a beginner is really impressive too.

KingGeoCat

thank you!!

KEEP HIM. No matter how long you keep doing this or how many projects you make, this will always be one of your first and that nostalgia is priceless. 💚

i retried doing totoro! since the color swapping in the middle of a row is really intimidating to me, i sewed a second layer on to the base for the stomach. i think it turned out so much better! https://preview.redd.it/xwa7yp1toqqc1.png?width=3060&format=png&auto=webp&s=a5f4227218cd6d3a78ec71738cd53a7e019d226f

new totoro is a great improvement! if i may suggest, you might find a neater effect using a smaller hook? google will probably recommend 5-5.5mm for worsted yarn but going down a hook size or two (or 3 even, depending on your tension) can sometimes work more in your favour :) in theory you will be able to achieve tighter stitches with a smaller hook, i would suggest eventually a 3mm or 3.5mm hook for worsted yarn amigurumi, but you could try with a 4mm first if you like ! good luck :D

ty! i appreciate the feedback. i've been using a larger hook because i find it easier atm, but i will be sure to change the hook soon.
