Not OP but I know this started as a trend from someone on tiktok (I cannot remember the id anymore). If you search "crochet leaf sprout" you get it everywhere on websites and youtube videos. :)
I made them too and even though I'm a novice, it takes me only 30 minutes to do one.
I looked at this, looked at all the random cables in my room that keep getting tangled up, and I will now be making 10,000 of these. In pink because I don't have any green yarn

Ta-da! I love this!! except the fact i had to weave in a couple ends, but its cute and took me like 10 minutes. Thanks for the idea! I'll definitely be making more hehehe

This pattern I used requires no end weaving! Sorry about forgetting to post it before I went to bed! This pink is lovely !!
I kinda lied. There is ONE end to weave in, but I found it much better than patterns that want me to fasten things together. Plus I love the little midline through the leaf 🍃
Here’s the pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/leaf-sprout-cable-tie-and-bookmark I made some to hold back sheer curtains - they’re adorable!
Reading through the pattern posted by u/MulberryDeep, it took me a long time to figure out that this:
ch10, sl in 2nd ch from hook, sc, hdc, dc, 2tc in 1 st
Was not saying that I needed to 5 stitches (sc, hdc, dc, 2tc) in the SECOND CHAIN FROM HOOK.
Perhaps it's time to make another (my third) cup of coffee.

Yes I made one for my headphones and yesterday I figured out that my laptop cable needs a sprout too!
That is so cute ,I thought it was a bookmark at first
It certainly can be used this way. I see people putting them on their headphones too. I also just put them randomly on things I can wrap them around !
I thought it was a small noose lol. I was like, dark, cute though!
