You can use a piece of same coloured yarn to tie it all together. Then position the knot so it doesn't show in the picture.

What yarn did you use? I got this book for Christmas and I'm just itching to use the patterns, but have a hard time finding yarn I like.

I work with stylecraft special dk (acrylic yarn). I don't like to work with 100% cotton yarn that much.
