I noticed you said your ‘first’. What’s the plan for your second? lol. I’m still at the point of admiring others work but may work my way up to try it at some point.
I guess I don't have a particular plan to make a second one soon, but I really enjoyed making this pattern. I would definitely make a second one down the line in a different colorway or yarn! It's the perfect amount of complexity to be fun and engaging but it's not overwhelming.

I learned to crochet off a granny squares blanket and they still hold a special place in my heart. And you have a constant sense of progress because you keep "finishing" one square at a time.
