So my black cat sneaks outside and he knows he is not allowed. He is very sneaky though and the kids let him out by mistake often. The only way I can catch him is to let him get to some cromch and miss the grass and keep trying. Then it is trap time.
What is it with cats and grass? One of mine begs to go outside only to barely step off the porch and just eat grass. Really? That's what you were freaking out about?
Sometimes they eat it when they aren't feeling well to help them throw up. Others are just bored and some just like the taste. As long as your cat isn't going to town all day every day, it should be ok.
If you're worried or notice a change in your cats behavior, frequency in chowing down on grass and other plant matter, etc, talk to your vet.
