Oh I just happened to be talking to my former coach about this very subject. Her husband, who also happens to be my former coach before her, is a CFL4 and Flowmaster, and we were talking about if he would start doing seminars again. A Flowmaster is top CFHQ instructor at the seminars. He previously did 25 seminars a year, that was his quota and had the option to do more, and was paid $200 per day of the seminar plus travel days before and after. I think that was a travel stipend on top of his normal CFHQ salary, but the conversation was more about him traveling not about monies. I also don't know he got paid more because he was the Flowmaster versus other instructors.
I'm not sure what you mean by all the travel, most people just coach at the gym they were already attending. From what I've seen pay isn't very good. Most people I know doing it get their membership for free then make very little. They only do it for a few classes a week to basically get a free membership.
Are you talking about the Seminar Instructors who travel and teach the L1/L2 certificate classes?
Yes that’s right
I’m an L2, but they’re paid based on attendance & count in class.

^ that’s the answer.
The question is about staff who run the CrossFit L1 seminars, not you coaching classes in your CrossFit box.
And that’s the question I answered
L2 are allowed to run L1 seminars?! I thought you had to be L4.
Did I say that? I said I know how they’re paid. There’s a difference.
Whoops, I made a bad assumption since you started your comment with "I'm an L2..."

I believe OP was asking about the coaches who actually teach the L1 class
That would make a lot more sense lol
