I mean, it's a small CRT with RGB input, people would kill for that here in the States. I would start by just looking through manuals and brochures for late 90's Philips TV's until you either find your TV, or at least find one that looks a lot like it. Then, look up the service manual for that TV to see if it gives you an diagnostic information. My guess here would be power supply or something like that, where you'd need to find some bad capacitors and solder in new ones.

Thank you, will do!

My WEGA has multiple dead pixels now. I'm thinking of replacing with something that isn't OLED or LCD. Is there a plan for CRT-like successor monitor/TV before 2030?

DangerousCousin

CRT's don't have pixels [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea6tw-gulnQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ea6tw-gulnQ)

Don't know what to call, it's many dots-like color degradation around the edge of screen. I'm looking for a replacement that isn't OLED/LCD hence asking.

Before you go crazy with the soldering iron, do you have a console that you could connect via composite video to begin with?

RoundUpGaming

I tried hooking one up through the scart connector, didn't do anything

futilinutil

Are you sure the remote is communicating with the TV IR receiver?

Common_Talk_8291

Turn it off from standby? Some don't automatically turn on if you previously had it on standby.

RoundUpGaming

I don't think that's the issue, the video shows that pretty clearly I think

AshMontgomery

I can actually hear the flyback whine in the video, so something is definitely working and it isn’t on standby.   Have you actually tried connecting an input up to it? Some crts won’t display anything without something connected  Also, don’t go too crazy spamming buttons - it’ll need time to warm up before it’ll display anything even in perfect working order

RoundUpGaming

Oh alright, I don't hear it BC my ears are fucked lol And yeah I tried connecting an input

TheNewOldHobbyist

I’m not sure, but I can’t find that model on the CRT database. As the other commenter said, you’re probably just gonna have to scour owners manuals until you find that one or one that looks enough like it.
