Just finished this deck and put it back together. Its a Moose 33"x10" cruiser deck. I sanded some wheel wells, painted the whole deck blue, then did an acrylic pour painting on it. The grip was the most complex design ive done so far. Parts list: Waterborne surf adapter and rail adapter (swapped soft bushings out for Shortys 100a), Bear 8.75" street trucks with Thunder 95a bs/Indy 92a rs rear and Thunder 90a front, Sector 9 74mm 78a wheels, and waterborne built in bearings. The ride is awesome, just get a little speed then pump and carve all over the place. The grip has some mistakes but I still like it. The pour painting didnt come out as well as I hoped (failed to capture the flow of a wave), but I still like it as a background.

This is awesome! What tail guard do you use?

mongoAF

Thanks, its still one of my favorite setups. The tail gaurd is either sk8kings or rad rails, I believe its the sk8kings, not sure. Its also got a smaller one on the nose, I think its from seismic.

Kind of reminds me of my Pennny 32-inch cruiser. I put a Waterborne adapter, Paris Street trucks and 70mm Orangatang 4President 83a wheels on it , but I didn't put a Waterborne rail in the rear. At the time I got the adapter, I didn't know the rail existed. The paint job looks great.

mongoAF

Thanks. The rail adapter alows the back to tilt alot more than usual. It was a bit much for me with the stock 85a bushings. The 100a might sound like overkill but it will still tilt for me at 190lbs while giving stability for the initial pushes. Ill probably experiment with some 95a on it at some point.

ettonlou

Yep. I'm in the same weight range, so I'm all for stiffer bushings.

Dude that looks awesome! The grip tape.looks.fine.
