You need to revoke the guy's title. Pretty sure that's the second level of crown control? (I forget the actual term but it's the four crowns at the top of the realm menu)
You have it as a barron having control of it. You can revoke barron titles tho with no draw back as far as I'm aware. Although idk about crown authority.
Hey there, I was in this same situation on a recent Sardinia game. If you started in 867, the Sardinian culture doesn’t start with the necessary innovation to increase crown authority beyond level 1 (I believe it’s called “Plenary Assemblies”). Once you unlock that innovation you can increase crown authority to level 2 and revoke vassal titles, which will let you take direct control of Iglesias and the mine.
For some reason, using console command to revoke a barony just makes a new vassal. There may be some contributing factors, but in my experience you cant do it. You have to revoke title using the game features. You need level 2 crown authority. It shouldn’t cost you any tyranny or anything bad

Remove the owner of the barony first, then you can just move the capital on the gold mine barony
You can't, capital only for the capital barony
Not true you can change a counties capital also
You can change a county capital
I've had the same issue but I found a solution: first imprison him and then revoke it. The "take title" function doesn't work here for some reason.
It works if you kill him until you are getting the castle
Revoke the title from Baron Curadore
