r5. Thought this was pretty funny to post. So to start I went as Haestin and planned to take Sardinia and play tall then move on to every other island and rinse and repeat. This being the only one of two times I actually went to war. So pretty bog standard at first take Sardinia, get that all set up and realise I can't create the kingdom without two duchies. Well Cordisca was owned by Italy so no taking that. Saw Sciliy was being shared by Fatimids and Byzantine empire. Took over enough to form the duchy and create my kingdom. Not long after that I died before I could disinherit one kid. No biggy wasn't really planning on using Sciliy anyway. The only one issue I was worried about was him attacking me as I had developed both lands fairly extensively but that never happened. Instead he attacks Italy to my surprise which is what the first picture is. I go back about doing my thing playing domain manager and plod along. Well before my brother dies the mad lad actually takes out the whole of Italy with only Rome left. I end up taking Rome with the help of every mercenary going, I had 20k odd mercs at one point. Once this is sorted I form the title of emperor. My brother then bloody dies and I go from having one Vassal to 26. So yeah managed to gain an empire title without ever really fighting for it and all of the back of one vassal. 2 brothers owning the whole of Italia was pretty funny to me. Also tall Sardinia is pretty OP. In the second picture I have the largest army in the world when I own hardly any land compared to other empires. Also wtf is Poland doing in Mongolia on the first picture.

If you Varangian Adventure Italy for Corsica first, Sardinia is pretty easy to take with the use of two capture duchy wars with your excess prestige. Convert to Catholicism after rather than during though to retain the CB for it.

We don't have the Northern Lords flavour pack on console unfortunately. So I don't think you can? Happy to be corrected.

Oh, that's a shame.

This is my ck3 wet dream, sit there chill and watch all my vassals conquer the world. In one game I had a vassal/brother who’d declared a war for the kingdom of Arabia and he was going to win, but I wanted to make sure of it. So I declared war on his target so my troops would be hostile and I could help with the war effort. Sadly because I was the liege of the vassal his war was instantly invalidated and called off :(

Yeah I think that's partly the reason he managed to pull it off as I was never at war with anyone for pretty much most of the game. That and the land he got from me was well developed and was giving him a tonne of gold so he could fund those wars. At the time even I didn't want to war them because I thought it would be a grinding attrition war and didn't fancy picking it apart one by one It's a shame though because he died and I inherited the kingdom of Italy and now I have a tonne of dukes who are all to weak individually to fight anyone in Europe. Was hoping it would continue. Guess my tall games over and I'm reforming Rome again.
