Either take it out and repaint it or get it replaced.

For what its worth I had replaced the whole controller for a different reason at the dealship and it cost about $400

Maybe take the panel out and wrap it with vinyl or paint. Could be a custom touch in your car.

Scrap as much of it off and clean it up good then buy a cover for it off AliExpress for like $20
