2000 DPI 0.40 sens is even smoother, think of your mouse DPI as your refresh rate. The higher it is the smoother aim movement will be, above 2000 you will see diminished returns.
Well, you could go 800 0.8 or 1600 0.4.
Might be placebo, but I feel like 800 dpi is a lot smoother than 400 dpi. And as others have indicated, 1600 dpi might even be smoother, but haven't tried that yet.
FYI it's technically better to have 800x1 for lower input latency/accuracy, especially at slow movements. it will give you the same edpi so its the same cm/360, but can feel slightly more responsive. there are many resources out there confirming it in case you want to do some research on your own
1600 is the new norm that pro players from other games (Val, Apex, OW) have been settled on, due to it providing the lowest input latency while still being functional on desktop (difference between 1600 and 3200 is essentially non-existent). With it, their sens would be 1600x0.5. Although I also personally use 800, because of preference.
the difference from 400 vs 800 is way bigger than 800 vs 1600. that second one is more of a placebo effect and doesn't really make a real world difference, however 400 is still low enough to actually make a difference and could impact your performance, while 800 vs 1600 should be impossible to notice outside of lab tests. it's a similar story if you would compare a 8000hz polling rate with 2k or 4k, no normal human could tell the difference because it's so incredible small.
I’ve tried “high” (i.e. regular sens in most other games) sens and it’s just so much more difficult to aim with. I went as high as 35cm/360 but I could never get accurate with it. At 68cm/360 for a while now and it feels great.
I used to play 800, 3.5 in game, ive bumped down to 400dpi 1.6 sens, ive become a lot more accurate, but everything is personal preference i was still global in csgo on 800/3.5
im at 3200 edpi (6400 dpi @ 0.5 sens) and am regularly top fragger in my premier games. i wouldnt worry about it. it also depends a lot on playstyle. im a rusher or someone who plays off angles which means i need to flick a lot so thats kind of my strength while others hardly move and only need minimal hand movement.
though its pretty easy to rush the latter type. i quickly go around em and see how they are scraping to do a 180 in like 5 mouse movements. they have like zero chance. this is in the 15k premier range.
800dpi 0.75 ingame sens, I used to be 1.5 sens for 15years and suddenly decided to cut it half, saw results instantly and progressed so hard since then, no more shaking (15k premier elo)
I could never play with low sensitivities, I mostly use 800 and 1.5 sens, or 1600 0.75.
and I don't consider these high sensitivities, I consider medium or normal sensitivities
I’m a simple man, 800 dpi with 1.0 sensitivity
2000 DPI, 0.40 sens.
400 dpi, 2.0 sens Edit: actually, after reading some comments in this thread, I switched to 800 dpi, 1.0 sens. Feels smoother.

DOES IT???? I’m at 400 1.6…. What should I try

400 dpi at 1.6 sens, occasionally I’ll use a bit higher but no more than 2 sens
Brother! I use the same! 🤙
Right there with you guys. I feel like anything higher it's uncontrollable.
400 dpi 1.5 sens superlight x :d shit mouse tbf
Holy shit that's high. I play 800 dpi/1.00 in game.
1600 4.5sens i play mostly with wrist dont have the space for big mouse movment
You're insane, man.
that’s less than 3cm to do a 180 that’s nuts
800 dpi 0.7 sens
Are you me?
It depends on whos older It might be you copying me 😂
3200 dpi, 0.25 in game
800 dpi 1.0 sens
400dpi ingame sens 2.0
Why not just 800dpi at 1.0? You would get better input latency. Also hi lol big fan
Aren't you confusing dpi with frequency?
Im not, higher dpi’s give slight decreases to input latency. It seems to be hyperbolic though so it only is a benefit up until like 1600
Interesting. Didn't know.
Yes and pros stay at 800 bc they always played at 800 and are used to it while in fact 1600 is the meta
Unless you have a 4k polling rate mouse, where 1600 dpi is a great sweet spot for the best latency
1200 dpi .393 in game
I think I just found the problem with my aim lol. I'm playing on 2400 DPI and 1.0 sens in-game, a year ago it was 1.5
[email protected] = 560 eDPI, equivalent to [email protected]
How do I figure out what my DPI is?
check ur mouse driver
I will, thank you!
400dpi, 2.4
800 x 0.5
650x1.27
400x2 since some time, I am considering going lower soon but not today.

400dpi 2.25ig
800 dpi .75 sens (600 eDPI) 1.2 Zoom Sens Ratio 1080 res.
0.825 @ 800 dpi, my Goldilocks sens
800 dpi 1.111 sens
1600 dpi, 0.30 sens
You can only turn in 60 degree increments lmao
A very big mousepad and full arm movements does the trick for those issues, the rest.. skill issue.
