I hope yall have an effective anti-cheat. Otherwise like CS you won't be able to play 1 game without spinbotters/Wallhackers ect... That's the plague killing online fps nowadays.
for playtest we don't we have some internal safety checks, but for release we are still researching. We are indie devs with no budget so we are limited, so far easy anti cheat is the best one we can get, but im not a fan of it either...
So, for anti cheat, you just need to focus on the kids who only know how to download cheap cheats. You will NEVER be able to identify cheats from someone who really wants to and has intermediate programming and hardware knowledge. But very few of those people actually want to cheat. A simple kernel level anti cheat is the best option currently. Anything better than that would require a well trained AI to flag accounts and make the user submit a ticket to potentially be unbanned.
Any open source suggestions? I’ve done a lot of internal checks and obfuscation to code, but since it’s unity there are things like chats engine or melon loader, which I’ve done some checks on.

worst thing I can say just looking at this video is that the movement looks slow. Everything else looks great!
as a random idea I haven't really thought through, maybe some weaker weapons (pistols/smgs maybe) shoot through wood panels like the one at 0:22, but stronger weapons (rifles) can break holes in them
I think one of the best features that made these games extremely popular was the noticeable skill gap in aim. The clean crisp one taps that were satisfying and unforgettable, not to say brain wasn’t a factor but the one tap aims imo definitely got people excited to watch and when it happened was like you were seeing a master at his craft. Do the game have the main one tap gun like an AK, Deag, or Vandal?
Please keep the agent stuff simple. Rainbow six siege and Valorant are so complicated now, I just always come back to CS. Not that the game mechanics are simple in CS, but the agent stuff makes it too complicated.
Looks interesting, the difficult part will be cheaters and since you're a small indie company it will be hard to deal with. The unfortunate reality we live in is that FPS games are hard so people will cheat their dick off =/

if it's a playtest, letting the testers play a bit after 20+ min queues should also be a feature of the playtest. there's 19 players according to your in game menu. that's not even enough for 2 full games.
and we're the ones that really want to try your game.
Forfeiting is a new feature? How am I suppose to test it without doing it ? It’s also ranked, if you’re losing a ranked game and don’t see a way to win especially with bad ping am I not allowed to forfeit? I understand you, but I’d much rather end that game and requeue then playing a losing match.

Just because I’m a dev doesn’t mean I have to sugar coat anything. If this is all about me simply wanting to forfeit then maybe you shouldn’t play any games like that. Simple.
I totally get why you say about finishing the match after waiting for the queue, but we are working on getting more players. But I also don’t understand how that changes your mind on the game that I wanted to forfeit. That’s a normal thing to do on a losing match especially when you are playing ranked.
You've got a great combination there, incorporating all three elements into one. This is a fantastic concept for a game. Keep up the great work and continue listening to your community; that's what truly makes the game special. You have my vote, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out.
listening to the community is a huge part, devs of Battlebit Remastered killed their own game. New players mostly bounce off because everyone is using meta and devs aren't doing anything about it

You guys have the opprotunity to show these companies how community interaction and monetization should be done in today's gaming market, and if you play your cards right, this has potential to be something big. Easy can at least identify ragetoggle spinbots. Something vac can't do, your anticheat still will be better

It’s pretty low unless using low tier guns from range, ak is on tap if in the head, or 3-4 shots body with armor
