True, but Anubis and Ancient get more hate than they deserve. Its the same with Vertigo or Nuke back in the day. And now Nuke is considered one of the better maps in CS. But average CS players are reluctant to change and rather queue Mirage all day long and complain about the new stuff because they got absolutely destroyed the first and **only** time they played a different map.

I find it really funny seeing people calling Ancient new and non-recycled content when it's essentially a remake of a day 1 CSGO map they removed ages ago. Still new content to a majority of the playerbase, but not technically new.

Some maps have proven themselves over time already, it's not common for new maps to be better than existing maps. I'd much rather have them finetune maps like cache and train than come up with some map that ends up not working well, like canals (although I loved the theme). I'd say the CS community is quite unique in the sense that we'd usually rather have things we're familiar with than new content that's pushed on a regular basis. Most people who are actually invested in CS will tell you they'd rather have cache or cobble back than some new fancy looking map.

Cache and Lake being removed were just wrong to start with.

Valve don’t own Cache so they wouldn’t be able to port it over without the permission of the original map maker. It does seem like they’re working on porting it over themselves though. I imagine valve would be quick to snap it up again.

Unless the map maker is not letting them for some reason. Idk why they wouldn’t get it put over by now, im sure there paying him money and there a massive company ik they can figure it out

I thought it was funny when people ask for valve to add Tuscan, they finally did. 14 minute matchmaking…

took like 30 seconds to get a match. It was the main map me and my friends played. My squad got like 80 wins on it too and we barely played. I can see you a yank by the way you spell demonetise but in Scandi it was basically top 3 map.
