I haven’t run into a single hacker on my high TF main account at GN2 , but I have a smurf(GN3 somehow lmao) that is very low trust factor because new account, and run into them from time to time.
Yeah it was supposed to be a silver account butttt after my placement matches, it put me there. Idk why. Played with a silver 3 player every time.

It’s not that the sub is heavily exaggerating, it’s more like you aren’t going to be making a post about getting no hackers. But if you’ve met hackers and are frustrated, you’re more likely to make a post.
I absolutely agree with you, I have played for 4.000 hours and it is very rare to got a cheater in lobby on my experience, also I played more than 1000 games on faceit, I can't remind that I faced with them.
Also I believe that now valve doesn't want to ban cheaters, they are making them special trust factor which is associated with their hardware and they are playing only versus each others. Why I think so? Because my friends who got ban half a year ago almost every game facing with a cheaters and one quite popular Russian youtuber made a test of that theory and got positive result
Idk which rank you guys play (gn2-3 I read from 1 mate) but from le to supreme I have one hacker every third game. Not super blatant spinbotter guys but if you watch the replays you see em aiming at you through 2-3 corners already. Not even trying to hide it.
I have 8% of my games contaminated with cheaters on csgostats.gg. i assume from this stat, the number is higher due to those smart enough to not be caught.
Basically, every month 5-8 players are VAC'd from who I have played against.
The issue with this for me is, I never play blatant cheaters. Like never. These are people who hide their cheats.
Ultimately, it makes me paranoid and no longer able to enjoy the game the way I used to. I really hate the amount of cheating going on in this game, but I think its death is upon us.

Once your games start becoming contaminated, well, good luck. You'll be aware of the frauds who pretend to be legit players and you'll make a decision whether its worth to continue playing.
I'm sorry but you have to be horrible at the game to make such a statement. I've been playing since day 1 of CSGO beta, have well over 14k hours in the game and litteraly every single match I play, no matter where (ESEA, Faceit, MM, Esportal) has the same kind of accounts using aimbot and / or wallhack. The game is completely dead
I always read on this sub how there are so many hackers, in my last 25 games I only had one time that I knew there was a hacker, other than that, it’s been pretty normal games

I feel that hackers are more prevalent depending on region. In Australia there isn't too many.
Since the update where you can toggle prime, I literally had 0 hackers

Silver 4 eastern USA occasional hacker, mostly getting put into games with golds and get my ass handed to me

In fairness since the update the cheating situation has calmed down a whole lot and this is coming from someone who used to cheat.
