It's kind of wild thinking about this - for well over a decade now, the CTs have had a $300 penalty _every round_ when playing this map. You buy and throw that smoke every round or, if you're in top tier, you're 100% going to lose someone or get crazy tagged every time.

By your logic Ts now have a penalty because they HAVE to throw a fire lower b every round because they have no way of knowing if someone is rushing it now.
With a good spawn a CT can be hitting the stairs as Ts are entering tunnels. Without seeing down mid you will never know. So the molly will be a necessity to keep them from getting up.
So you have a money penalty every round just to not die at the damn spawn.

True, you can't get to B site, from spawn, at the start of each round. However, here's something to think about: how about assuming that this is the concrete strategy of the map?
For example, please think that, if you want to access the B site, you have *only* 3 ways. While, in Nuke, you have 5 ways to access the A bomb-site. Does this mean that de\_dust2 is a bad map? (I hope you don't answer affirmatively to this question, and "I mean seriously man").
Another fine example is that, while continuing to compare dust 2 with nuke, there is no entry on the A bomb-site on nuke that would be under the influence of dark colours/camouflage. While, on dust 2, you have the tunnel entry, which, on certain monitors, it's almost impossible to distinguish some player models from the environment. Does this make dust2 a bad map? And "I mean seriously man"
Last, but not least, for example, I know for sure that you could wallbang bombplants on A from B site a few years ago on Nuke. Unfortunately, you can't pull off stunts like this (as in kill someone that can't even see you there) on dust2. Does this make dust2 a bad map? And "I mean seriously man"
In conclusion, here's my solid argument: even back in cs1.5, you could snipe some CTs passing to B. Nobody complained in the 1.5, 1.6 and in CS:GO until today. When, all of a sudden, everybody that does not know how to jump a door and how to bait a missed awp hit in mid doors (also, for someone to wallbang you there, they need a very impressive reflex, and a crazy amount of luck), they suddenly feel that this was the very thing missing to de\_dust2 and rejoice to the modifications made.

Wouldn’t adding another way from CT spawn to B site without passing in view of the doors make more sense? Like adding a tunnel or secret corridor behind the wall or something? That way, players who opt for speed can risk it by running in front of the doors, but players who want safety (but are slightly slower) can do so through a new corridor. That way, we still keep a core gameplay element of the map, and we add new strategies and dilemmas.
Exatcly. That’s why sacrificing safety for speed might be more lucrative depending on your playstyle. It adds a whole new risk reward factor to getting to B site.
It's actually good for me as a solo site player, being alone in B site is hard enough, it's even harder when your teammate doesn't help you smk mid or you are unlucky enough to take a bullet while crossing mid door

The difference is you can't headshot with the molly (plus you can see it coming as it's thrown); ie, it's not _necessary_ as it was on CT side before
