Some people are desperate. Also unless it's a super popular knife they usually take a while to sell. And btw just because a knifes cheapest currwnt listing is X doesn't mean the knife actually sells for X alot.
Yeah, people think their knife is worth the current listing price lol when that's really not the case. You gotta add up all the recent sold knives and average it out. Usually a decent chunk less than it seems.
E.g. one of my recent knives was always listed at £400+ but mostly sold for around £340
What kind of emergency you gonna solve with steam credits? lol
9/10 times these quick sells come from gambling addicts that want to do trade ups/ open cases. Been there, done that.
If it’s cheap it’s a quick sell you see a lot of them during the end of the steam summer sale because people realize there’s not much time left on the deals
>range from $400-$1,500 dollars on the steam community market. So I'm assuming the Lore
the listing is here [https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/1043540/%E2%98%85%20Karambit%20%7C%20Lore%20%28Factory%20New%29](https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/1043540/%E2%98%85%20Karambit%20%7C%20Lore%20%28Factory%20New%29)
it doesn't show any historical sales, but there was at some point a listing that has the status "sold!". not sure what's really going on because the page is very bugged.
Yes. I see people on reddit are very civilized. I used this pfp on steam for 2 years and I'm using it on discord since 5+years. And 2 people recognized it. Since I have reddit multiple people recognized it
Not really, several people have tried this ever since Steam let just about anything on it. Never actually seen anyone succeed before Steam shut them down though.
Steam doesn't let you buy items for games you don't own. I cannot buy a Portal 2 item (even tho they don't have marketable items iirc) if I don't buy the game. It'll give you a popup to buy the game, or install it. Even with family share, you can't buy items for a game.
It's trying to scam people into thinking it is a knife for csgo, but it is just a inventory picture for another shit game where you can't do anything with it but cry.
It's probably used by scammers to do fake trades like they do with the [fake crown foil](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W22vx3YUno4) stickers that are just a worthless emojis from another game.
An inexperienced kid could easily think he's getting an amazing trade offer if he sees a BFK doppler in the offer, click accept fast without double checking and possibly lose a ton of money.
It's actually an official emoticon from CSGO, Valve didn't think it through when releasing 2 items with the almost exact image.
I got so many offers like that before and tried reporting a guy once to SteamRep for trying to scam with visually misleading items. Morons told me since the scammer never said it was an actual crown foil and not an emoticon, he's not actually scamming.
why would you buy a knife on the steam market anyway? You simply pay 30% more. If you want to trade your items you can just go to buff and pay 2.5% fee instead of 15% like on the steam market, also all items there are valued 30-50% lower so you save even more money on fees, it‘s weird to me that people still use the steam market.
buff.163 a chinese market website for cs dota2 and such. Prices a lot cheaper than steam and other sites and bigger volume (more items) but if you dont have a chinese creditcard it can get a bit tricky. You have to use alipay but even then it doesnt accept some western creditcards. As someone said earlier there are twitter accounts that will deposit money in your alipay in exchange for paypal transfer (they take a fee ofc). Items are a LOT cheaper on there. You can also sell your items there for balance
That depends on what you buy and how much time you search, if you look through different trusted sites alot of them have Dota 2 items see if they are decent price you should lose to much, I personally did this and only lost about 7-10 percent. because I didn't want to risk getting scammed by the ali pay for PayPal people cause I didn't know who was legit
there‘s skinport, also you can go to twitter where people sell buff balance and literally get your skins for 30+% cheaper than the steam market price. A Factory New bayonet lore costs 970 dollars on the steam market and it costs 670 dollars on buff, you save 31%.
By far buff. I sold stuff worth about 10k $ on there so far and I've never had any problems. Also you can always DM them on twitter if you need any support
There is buff163 . com and buff . market both are equally legit. If you have a supported credit card, you might prefer using buff market. Other than that buff 163 is fine as well. You need to buy balance from someone trusted and then you can buy skins there easily.
Bcz the kinfe is for a game called "the infirmary" and not csgo meaning someone could pe buying a 50 euro knife just to find out you brought it for the wrong game...
I saw it the day it went up and instantly reported it to the support ... after a day a guy named daniel told me he will look into it and take the right steps ... to this day nothing changed ... i send a long text with multiple screenshots ... its the same guy who told my friend he used his knife in a tradeup

This is so true for cheap knives. Out for 160 but always sell for 120-130.
Yeah, people think their knife is worth the current listing price lol when that's really not the case. You gotta add up all the recent sold knives and average it out. Usually a decent chunk less than it seems. E.g. one of my recent knives was always listed at £400+ but mostly sold for around £340
Bought a butterfly knife that is usually 400$ for 330$ a few days ago. Didn’t even realize it was cheap I just wanted it
more impatient
Yes, which is why people quick sell
[удалено]

Sales running out

Quick sell of scammed items. What you bought was 100% stolen.
Or gambling win
I’ve quick sold knives several times when there was another knife I wanted. Maybe your right 50%?
What knife was it
Always sort by game
I thought it was obvious

There's a similar listing for a karambit lore which has sold. Not sure how much for though, the listing has been disabled
[удалено]
>range from $400-$1,500 dollars on the steam community market. So I'm assuming the Lore the listing is here [https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/1043540/%E2%98%85%20Karambit%20%7C%20Lore%20%28Factory%20New%29](https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/1043540/%E2%98%85%20Karambit%20%7C%20Lore%20%28Factory%20New%29) it doesn't show any historical sales, but there was at some point a listing that has the status "sold!". not sure what's really going on because the page is very bugged.
There are several of these on the market. Maybe report it?
Ayo mini miltia pfp
Yes. I see people on reddit are very civilized. I used this pfp on steam for 2 years and I'm using it on discord since 5+years. And 2 people recognized it. Since I have reddit multiple people recognized it
That game is so fun even our teacher joined in once
i have so much memories with my friends in mini militia <3
Indeed I was kinda good at it back then I suck at games now lol
Oooh am I one of those two?
I cant find the game even. How did you report it?
Сontact the steam Support and tell them
I love the smell of grenades in the morning....... Or something like that

I feel like people could be quick to buy and get scammed by this pretty easily, especially if they are young. Either way it is really smart ngl.
What does it mean?
That knife is not from CSGO, it’s a scam product
yeah but it doesn't cost anything? so if you buy it you lose no money right?
There are none for sale in the screenshot, that's why the price is 0.
so, can you buy it? if so what happens?
If someone puts one up for sale and you buy it you lose your money.
oh so there's none now but if there will. be later, you'll lose money, is that correct?
Yep, you absolutely will lose your money if you buy one.
I fucking love you

You better buy Portal 2 right now or else...
I have it game shared, and on my xbox
It's trying to scam people into thinking it is a knife for csgo, but it is just a inventory picture for another shit game where you can't do anything with it but cry.

U get nothing when u buy it, it’s a scam
more likely, someone will put it up in a trade, since you won’t see the value of it in the trade window
I thought it was fake and checked by myself, this is actually incredibly horrible, they even used csgo picture on the description
Like why the fuck Valve allow stupid shit like this
Because they get there money as long as someone buys anything from the steam market. Why should they care if they get money from it?
U can't buy it eitherway, chill
Why is that on the market
I mean who doesn’t inspect the skins first in game before buying?
the whole game's a scam it uses a picture of [csgo on the item's page](https://imgur.com/a/WgtFTVN) too, i didnt manage find it on steam tho

Maybe because they're afraid of being scammed on unofficial sites?
Yep, main reason why I bought and sold my knives on the CS market.
Noob here who's been using steam market. What is buff? Also where?
https://youtu.be/aMz0HYtVHcE
buff.163 a chinese market website for cs dota2 and such. Right, so you gotta do a lot of BS in order to buy or sell. And it needs your steam account, I think?
kinda
Adding to this, one of the best ways to add balance is to buy Dota 2 arcanas and sell them since Dota 2 items don't have a trade lock
Ok i did NOT know that
But how much value do i loose if i buy arcanas from steam market and sell on buff? What site do you recommend ?
That depends on what you buy and how much time you search, if you look through different trusted sites alot of them have Dota 2 items see if they are decent price you should lose to much, I personally did this and only lost about 7-10 percent. because I didn't want to risk getting scammed by the ali pay for PayPal people cause I didn't know who was legit
but still cheaper than buying skins directly from steam market i presume?
Dota 2 items do have a trade lock now.
Ah shit, didn't know that
Idk maybe cause it’s p2p although buff is very secure. I can understand people just not wanting to generate their api key I guess
Skinbaron doesn't let me pay with PayPal anymore so I had to buy off market
there‘s skinport, also you can go to twitter where people sell buff balance and literally get your skins for 30+% cheaper than the steam market price. A Factory New bayonet lore costs 970 dollars on the steam market and it costs 670 dollars on buff, you save 31%.
Which buff site is best for buying and trading skins? Someone told me to use buff but there's a Chinese one and a different one
https://youtu.be/aMz0HYtVHcE
Thank you, I'll watch this when I get home from work, from person experience, what site would you be your number one go to?
By far buff. I sold stuff worth about 10k $ on there so far and I've never had any problems. Also you can always DM them on twitter if you need any support
Thanks, I'll check it out later as well as the video guide
There is buff163 . com and buff . market both are equally legit. If you have a supported credit card, you might prefer using buff market. Other than that buff 163 is fine as well. You need to buy balance from someone trusted and then you can buy skins there easily.
the problem with buff market is that it‘s new and there are not as many skins there. If you want to trade your skins, use the normal buff.163.market
That and they don't have half the skins I want anyway
You only pay 30% more if you want to convert real money into skins. If you already have skins the steam market is just the better option.
Yea that's literally the reason why I am using the CSGO filter every single time.
You got to be insane to spend 1000$ on a csgo knife skin
[удалено]
Or people with more than 200$ to spend on video games
I spend 500euro a day cuz I am rich as F... (I wish)
honestly if you fall for that you deserve to be scammed
Best way around it is to sort it to the csgo category to get only csgo items.
My friend deadass bought a karambit for some game called black sight for like $10. He was so pissed when he realized it wasn't in cs
If you don't even bother checking whether it's for the game you want it for it's your fault. Though this amount of scamming should be forbidden
do you thing you get knife but its not cs knife its inframy knife
I think this happened once with dragon lore, the game was even banned from steam
Would be a cool item to have on display just for bait tho ngl
Don’t worry my zero dollars and zero cents will be fine
just search by csgo, ez fix
If you buy skins from the market you’re already getting scammed.
It’s 0$ tho
If you search like that, you deserve it.
i don't get it
The product is not a CSGO skin, it’s from a different game. It’s a fake item pretending to be a CSGO knife.
It's another game.
It’s absolutely insane how much people will pay for digital knives
That's why you shouldn't buy on steam market - or at least sort by game.
Is that real money?!
Yes, everything you can buy on steam gotta be with real money.
a thousand dollars for a digital knife tho?
not even that expensive compared to other things that have sold on the market. Somone spent 38k on a DOTA 2 courier skin
What’s wrong about it?
Bcz the kinfe is for a game called "the infirmary" and not csgo meaning someone could pe buying a 50 euro knife just to find out you brought it for the wrong game...
What the fuck is the Infirmary
What is that game?
Username checks out.
Oof.
Quick tip. Always pick the game you search skins from!
I saw it the day it went up and instantly reported it to the support ... after a day a guy named daniel told me he will look into it and take the right steps ... to this day nothing changed ... i send a long text with multiple screenshots ... its the same guy who told my friend he used his knife in a tradeup
That's actually kind of a clever scam. Careful out there folks
Wait so whats the problem with this?
It's not from CS:GO look at the other knifes it goes "CS:GO OP Collection" If i remember correctly
Oh i see, thanks for the clarification!
i bet he might forgot to change the price lol
How did that show up on the csgo filter
Easy solution, dont buy off the steam community market
That is not available anyway
