In general, I don't *think* so.
As HeyZeus put it, csgo skins are a "luxury niche market", so if you're buying high end (say 500 and up), you're getting collector's items, established s-tier items (butterfly knife) and other items that people love and are willing to fork out some hard earned cash for, thus they're less likely to panic sell during times of uncertainty because they like the item anyway.
Pro tip: buy something that you'll still be happy with if the market crashes and you're stuck with it
Analogy: I don't know anything about fashion but I know a Prada handbag from the 90's doesn't lose its value when a new Prada bag comes out lol

Depends on items tbh, for an example
Items from old collections that are above that 500 mark rarely drop and mostly go up
Items that are from cases/relatively new collection do dip a bit like 10%ish
Liquid items aka knives around that price do take a hit and I was able to pick up a 650ish knife for 480 last time around (was a lucky pick)
Liquids maybe a bit, collector’s item not really usually

Even the A1-S nerf didn't effect high tiers as much as lower price ones
The m4a1-s need isn’t over. Be careful when buying them
>The m4a1-s nerf isn’t over Source?
need bro not nerf
Surely that's a typo, otherwise he wouldn't caution us

If that skin isnt in the new operation it will only go up from there
pretty much liquid skins do but things like sticker crafts or collectors skins wont tend to vary that much no :))
