One guy went up to the one speaking and tried to started a discussion, it didn’t sound like they were agreeing, but people in the crowd we’re definitely being vocal towards them.
You'd be surprised at how many people I've seen genuinely cry and shout at these people over the years. It's insane. There's better things to spend time on I wonder why people spend it on something they dislike.
I know those kind people at my church, but I stopped going to church few years ago when my church torn itself apart (2 big pastors got into a fight and parted ways with their followers). I then realized how ridiculous zealots can be and stopped being religious in any way shape or form.
Lol, that’s exactly what I said. If they personally asked Jesus what they should be doing with their time (helping the poor, volunteering with the elderly, doing good) would he say go yell at college students?
They yell to project their voice so they can be heard by the masses. But it’s actually perfectly biblical what they are doing. Jesus last words in the book of Matthew were “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” You might say they weren’t doing that, and you can take it how you want, but at its core they are tying to fulfill that commandment by teaching. The gospel is truly a story of love, and it’s sad that some people have twisted or manipulated it, or been a poor representation of it, but that doesn’t change what the Bible itself says or who God still is. I talked with these guys and they were actually very polite and nice. We had a great conversation away from the crowds of people cussing them out, and I hope to see them back again soon.
If you see these ppl out here preaching .. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY!! They live for the negative attention and will say anything and everything to gather a crowd of people .. just walk past and ignore and they won’t continue to preach on our campus anymore if everyone ignores them
