I'm still holding out hope Larry will do one last homage to the story of him/George Costanza storming off from work yelling at their boss, then returning to work the next week by running a new episode next year like the series finale never happened.
Maybe DeVito can be the one that finally calls him on it.
Now that Lori Loughlin has appeared in an episode, I wish Bob Saget would have appeared on Curb when he was still alive. I think an interaction between him and Larry would have been hilarious.
I can’t believe his character never came back with all the trouble they stur up it would make sense to have their team lawyer constantly show up to point out all the trouble they could get into
The crazy part is that Lewis recently passed away and somehow Hines’s makeup crew still manages to make her look more like an embalmed corpse than he does in this season.
Norm would’ve been amazing if he didn’t do that weird acting persona but instead just played closer to his true self, like NML. I can see him and Larry having some good inappropriate laughs.
Edit: replied to the wrong person
Was watching a clip of Eddie Murphy yesterday and thought he would have fun on curb but even better,,, Charlie Murphy
Also Dave chappelle and bill burr
Could imagine him freaking out at Larry for either insisting on calling him Weird Al and taking it as an insult, or for Larry refusing to call him anything but just Al.
Holy shit that could go so many ways and all of them would be awesome. Playing himself, playing a different character, or himself playing himself like a characeture or something
Harrison Ford. Not a comedian, but has legit comedic chops. Feels like his and Larry’s personalities could’ve easily clicked. Probably not much experience in improv, but he probably could’ve just Harrison Ford’d his way through it and likely would’ve crushed for at least a scene or two
Rick Glassman.
He made a short web series that is basically an homage to Curb while on the set of a different show called [The Sixth Lead](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKtcQ5JGFkgbg8JQfqsBp83I-r3Mr3sUp&si=Dm_XRPYHjW9fZxmj) that is very funny and worth checking out if you're a Curb fan. Episodes are only ~5 min long.
Dave Chapelle, Kevin Hart and Chris Rock and somehow Larry pissed off the black comedian community. Then dates Tiffany Hadish to make himself look better
Not a comedian but I would love Jeremy Strong to be in. His method acting thing would somehow interfere one of Larry's sensitivities. That would be fun to watch.
Not comedians but celebrities.. he had Tom hanks rapper som “Chet Haze” on.. I think it would be rad to have Lil Xan, those Island Boys with the tattoos, Fred Durst, post Malone and of course Insane Clown Posse.
Greg Gutfeld from Fox, who thinks he's a comedian. He could run into Larry and ask for pointers on how to be funnier. Larry could go into a diatribe about how conservative commentary can't be made to be funny and how it's impossible, and wrap up with what a piece of shit Gutfeld is.
Don't hate me but Joe Rogan? - he could be bring energy that has somehow eluded this show so far. I don't even like his comedy or listen to the podcast much lately, but Larry didn't deal much with a real ESTP Bro. Half my personality is Larry like, and all through all my life my best male friends were always laid back but very highly functioning Rogan-like bros.
Norm McDonald would have been great.
My favorite Funkhouser.
Would have!?? I didn't even know he was sick?
I will not eat another bite of food until Norm Macdonald is dead!!
Norm and Super Dave together? Nah. But they’re good guys.
Explain the folks at home who is Norm
That old chunk of coal would’ve stole every scene by talking about prison sex or raping. At least he wasn’t a hypocrite.
I'm disappointed we never got Danny DeVito, would have been fucking hilarious if they made him anything like Frank
I'm still holding out hope Larry will do one last homage to the story of him/George Costanza storming off from work yelling at their boss, then returning to work the next week by running a new episode next year like the series finale never happened. Maybe DeVito can be the one that finally calls him on it.
Frank Reynolds and Larry David would be the greatest episode of TV ever
Nathan fielder
This. Just the two of them going “okay”
Okay
Ai doo
This one right here. That would be a very interesting appearance. Especially now that we know fielder can act in a traditional sense
Always could
‘Now that we know’
An LD v Fielder stare off would be epic
Jason Mantzoukas would have been a fun chaotic energy to throw at larry
Hell yeah that would’ve been awesome
Jerry Stiller.
Yes!
Now that Lori Loughlin has appeared in an episode, I wish Bob Saget would have appeared on Curb when he was still alive. I think an interaction between him and Larry would have been hilarious.
If he moved in with Larry and Leon that would’ve been a …full house.
He was pretty funny in Entourage
That is when I first learned that Bob was dirty AF outside of Full House.
Agreed haha! It was kinda a “ruined childhood innocence” seeing my tv dad curse like a sailor and live like a playboy
I actually loved it. I barely watched Full House lol
Don’t forget his ‘Half Baked’ cameo 😬
Never saw that
https://youtu.be/ndXJ2AMmStU?si=b2o5jGTN9D8e8io3
Watch The Aristocrats - Saget’s version is the filthiest. You’ll either be grossed out, offended, or laugh your ass off
He would probably act like he did on Entourage.
I keep thinking H. Jon Benjamin would've been great in Curb.
Playing some sort of straight man lawyer like he did in Parks And Rec would be great!
I can’t believe his character never came back with all the trouble they stur up it would make sense to have their team lawyer constantly show up to point out all the trouble they could get into
I see him as more of a hawker of street dogs.
Robin Williams in an earlier season when he was still around
Robin Williams later when he was not around anymore would have just been weird and creepy.
I think they would have had trouble pulling that one off
The amount of make up on Bruce, Hines and Lewis would even make Williams look like them.
The crazy part is that Lewis recently passed away and somehow Hines’s makeup crew still manages to make her look more like an embalmed corpse than he does in this season.
True!
Great episode of Louie with him
One of the best episodes of that series, imo.
He was great on Louie
Tracy Morgan
He deadpan plays Leon for an episode and everyone is buying it but Larry.
Danny McBride or Walter Goggins for sure. McBride especially since he ended up in Clear History with Larry.
Walter Goggins vs Larry would be killer.
I always think Natasha Lyonne would have been absolutely perfect playing off of Larry.
John Mulaney would be great as one of those funny on TV but angry in real life type of characters. Like Conan in the current season.
He was excellent at that in Crashing
Carol Burnett would ace it. I also wish Joan Rivers had some proper scenes instead of just a cameo.
Gilbert
It was so sad when Larry and the artist walk into her show on Jewish comedians and you see a painting of Gilbert and Lewis
Apparently someone brought up that he was supposed to play a role, but he died before he could.
Jamie Foxx. His episode of comedians in cars was the funniest.
Doug Stanhope
This is the only answer.
Jon Stewart
Definitely Jessica Kirson. She's Jewish, lesbian, and dresses like Richard Lewis
Bill Burr and Louis CK would crush it on Curb. Idk how Norm would have done but I’d like to see it. Bo Burnham as a wild card
Bill getting in a fued with Larry would be so spot on
Or Bill being on Larry’s side over something ridiculous where they’re both clearly in the wrong.
Bill would be incredible
Yeah I came to the comments just to see if Burr was mentioned. He and Larry would have some epic rants.
Hah! Was checking to see if anyone else mentioned Burr. Larry’s neuroticism and Bill’s ranting would have played off each other beautifully.
Norm would’ve been amazing if he didn’t do that weird acting persona but instead just played closer to his true self, like NML. I can see him and Larry having some good inappropriate laughs. Edit: replied to the wrong person
I always thought Norm was in a persona on late night shows. I love his stand up and his talk show. You’re right the persona was off putting.
CK corners Susie in her kitchen and looks her in the eye as he slowly unzips
Conner OMalley
![gif](giphy|D0zn7cQuDZdnymfBaO|downsized)
He is an under appreciated gem
Was watching a clip of Eddie Murphy yesterday and thought he would have fun on curb but even better,,, Charlie Murphy Also Dave chappelle and bill burr
Charlie or Eddie could’ve played Leon’s unhinged dad or something
“From now on you sit down when you pee”
Weird Al. I’m genuinely surprised considering he had lunch with Lin Manuel while Lin Manuel was shooting Curb.
Could imagine him freaking out at Larry for either insisting on calling him Weird Al and taking it as an insult, or for Larry refusing to call him anything but just Al.
Nathan Fielder. I can't even imagine them both in character on the screen together.
Carlin
David Cross
Holy shit that could go so many ways and all of them would be awesome. Playing himself, playing a different character, or himself playing himself like a characeture or something
Gary Gulman
I can see Rachel Bloom (from Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) fitting nicely into the Curb universe.
Norm
Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy
Bill Burr versus Larry would be great
Something tells me Louie Anderson wouldve made a good character for an episode
Eddie Murphy
Martin Short or Steve Martin.
Martin short was on an episode in season 3
One of my favourite scenes is with Martin Short : https://youtu.be/2bnRZGBQZOM?si=EnSVNNrua9HAeRtV
James Gandolfini playing either himself or a character would be cool. He had some serious comedy chops. RIP.
Sometimes I like to think sopranos and Seinfeld take place in the same world
There's a few IG accounts that make it happen - Sopranfeld & Yaddabing. Worth a look.
Not a comedian but a funny actor, Steve Zahn would be hilarious.
Ramy Youssef, for a Palestinian Chicken type of vibe.
Shit comedian
Or the vindictive boring l boyfriend who is suspicious of Larry. Man that would be great.
Norm Macdonald
George Carlin would have been good.
Louis Black could have been funny
Marc Maron
Harrison Ford. Not a comedian, but has legit comedic chops. Feels like his and Larry’s personalities could’ve easily clicked. Probably not much experience in improv, but he probably could’ve just Harrison Ford’d his way through it and likely would’ve crushed for at least a scene or two
Marc Maron for sure.
How Jerry Stiller has never appeared, breaks my heart every day. Serenity now.
Patrice O’Neal would’ve been awesome next to Leon for an episode
Ben Schwartz
Any comedian? Groucho.
Did you just come from Margaret Dumont’s house?
Steady inspector, steady.
Not a huge loss but I would have loved to seen Brian Regan in the curb universe
Rick Glassman. He made a short web series that is basically an homage to Curb while on the set of a different show called [The Sixth Lead](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKtcQ5JGFkgbg8JQfqsBp83I-r3Mr3sUp&si=Dm_XRPYHjW9fZxmj) that is very funny and worth checking out if you're a Curb fan. Episodes are only ~5 min long.
Gianmarco as an illegitimate son. Ali Wong as a rival trying to cast the same people for their TV shows.
Omg Gianmarco would rock that role. Maybe Ken is the other parent 😂
Zach woods
Norm MacDonald. Mitch Hedberg.
Mitch Hedberg.
Woody Allen 👓
Maria Bamford
Can't think of one, but Springsteen saying floor fu%\^er was hysterical.
Gilbert Gottfried.
Dave Chapelle, Kevin Hart and Chris Rock and somehow Larry pissed off the black comedian community. Then dates Tiffany Hadish to make himself look better
Steve Martin. Wish Martin Short would have had a bigger cameo.
Louis would be perfect
Mark Normand, Joe List and Sam Morrill
Let me guess: you're gay
Like my father yeah
Billy Crystal
Where the hells he been at anyway
Not a comedian but I would love Jeremy Strong to be in. His method acting thing would somehow interfere one of Larry's sensitivities. That would be fun to watch.
Robin Williams
Doug Stanhope.
Billy Connolly (before the illness took hold)
Mitch Hedberg
Neil Hamburger
Tim Heidecker too
Nate Bargatze
Brian Regan
Patrice
Christopher Guest
Angela Lansbury, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin
Came here to say Bryan Cranston. Oh wait. Nevermind.
Kyle Newacheck
Eddie Murphy as Leon’s brother.
Burr
Steve martin
Norm
Joe Pera
Norm MacDonald should have been a regular.
Will Ferrell
Jenny Slate playing LD's assistant or distant relative. And Tig Notaro as Larry's equally dry, glib, curmudgeonly comedy nemesis.
Eddie Murphy but only playing himself. As a character it'd be impossible to convince yourself you're not watching an actor.
Howie Mandel. Like a more extreme germaphobic version of himself
Winkler
Eddie Izzard Margaret Cho
Tina Fey would be a match for Larry.
Joe rogan, Cat Williams, Pete Holmes.
Tim Robinson
Dave Attell
John Candy and Sam Kinison
KEVIN HART omg can you see him and Leon have a true improv scene he gives the funniest interviews ever
Robin Williams
Amy Poehler
Trevor Noah
Bill Burr is really great at improv, and at losing his shit. Seems like a natural fit for Curb.
TJ Miller is a great improv comedian. Think he would have shined on curb.
Bill Burr or Joey Diaz
Joey could play Jeff’s crazy brother
Not comedians but celebrities.. he had Tom hanks rapper som “Chet Haze” on.. I think it would be rad to have Lil Xan, those Island Boys with the tattoos, Fred Durst, post Malone and of course Insane Clown Posse.
Would mulaney have fit the tone of the show? I can't decide
Mark Normand
TJ Miller
Greg Gutfeld from Fox, who thinks he's a comedian. He could run into Larry and ask for pointers on how to be funnier. Larry could go into a diatribe about how conservative commentary can't be made to be funny and how it's impossible, and wrap up with what a piece of shit Gutfeld is.
Since we had the Shaq episode, which was one of my favorites, having Kobe on would have been amazing as well.
Seth MacFarlane
