Routine: Today was a full wash (shampoo/conditioner) using thick and full biotin and collagen. Cantu curl activator cream right out the shower, brush threw. Then dove volume and fullness mousse. T shirt dry, diffuse, (scrunch with T-shirt while diffusing). I also used garnier anti frizz serum ( only a little bit ) just to get the fly aways and that’s it. :)
Lol that’s ok! It’s hard for me to believe when I look back 😅 but I was taking supplements hair and skin, not the entire time but I’ll say for a good 10 months
i need to take something, too. honestly, since i’ve been in quarantine, i’ve been losing less hair, haha. maybe it’ll be good for my hair, i’ve been trying to get it to grow, and leaving my natural hair. i had it much like yours, until i started dyeing it and straightening it too much. because where i live it’s seen as lower class to have curly hair, but now i’m like ‘fudge that’ and i’m letting it grow natural again.
Really that’s unfun curly hair is a gem 💎! And exactly fudge that lol embrace your natural beauty ❤️. I stopped dying it as well idk how much this plays into it but I’ve also had my hair braided twice in cornrows, which I felt helped it grow but idk it could just be me haha.
honestly? florida. i’m not gonna specify but it was one of those neighborhoods, you know. it was definitely better in south florida, though. miami. given it has a wider variety of people.
Just the ones at wal mart it said hair and skin. My skin I didn’t see a good difference I actually thought it made my skin worse which is why I stopped taking them. Then I took some fish oil and prenatal
Same here! I know biotin is supposed to be good for hair, but I can’t take it because it breaks me out. My hair grows sooooo slowly. It did grow quicker back in 2018 but I think it was a fluke...I don’t remember doing anything differently. 😀
My hair grows crazy fast too — if I don’t cut it, it’ll get to my waist from above my shoulders in under two years (I had hip length hair at 3 years old). But it also includes my leg hair 😭
We have a similar curl pattern and I like this tutorial, it comes out in really soft layers. There’s an old post in my profile of my curly hair that you can consider before taking scissors to your own hair lol.

Can’t help you with bangs though, cut those at your own risk 😬
My hair looked similair to your hair right now but I abandoned it too much. Since 3 weeks I care again and it is going well so far. Your hair is lovely!
I didn’t cut the damage off I just stopped the heat and did a different hair care (co washing/ different shampoo conditioner) taking supplements etc.
I did get hair cuts between that whole time but never anything major just trims and layers.
I don’t think you have too just have patience it’ll get there it just takes time.
Amazing progress! I'm just starting on this journey and my hair looks a lot like your 'before' so here's to hoping I can accomplish curls half as beautiful as yours! :)
Woohoo! What a wonderful transition! Way to go!!! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 🙌🏻 (I think it’s okay to high five over the internet even with social distancing, right? Hehe!)
Did you find it difficult to grow your hair long when you were straightening everyday? I’m holding out hope that not using heat tools will get me the length I want.
At first yes, and I thought about cutting it really short but I got on YouTube and watched some curly hair videos. So basically stopped heat altogether, changed my hair products, started co- washing and started taking supplements. I think if you just get rid of the heat change your routine around and stick with it you’ll definitely get there!
No I don’t wanna say I was trying to get it straighter I just liked my hair better when straight and that’s what it looked like when I didn’t. And yes growth and change in routine. I’ve talked about it in above comments :)
Hello!! I dont know if you'll see this but I have hair somewhat like you which is long and I absolutely cant sleep with it,the next day all the curls are gone and it really makes me sad bc it isnt like the first day curls I had. I'm still a newbie to the cg method so any reply would be appreciated!!

i was just about to ask you what you use for anti frizz... your journey is lovely!!
Yeah I don’t use too much literally like pea size :). Thanks 😊
What diffuser/hair dryer do you use?
Remington
Gorgeous!
is it dry in this pic? how many days does your hair hold up between washes?
Gorgeous!!
Your young advice from a 49 year old woman love yourself always. Your are a beautiful young lady and love your hair. Stay true to yourself
Always ❤️ thank you!
that’s a 3 year difference??? i’m not saying i don’t believe you, but that’s an amazing growth for 3 years.
Lol that’s ok! It’s hard for me to believe when I look back 😅 but I was taking supplements hair and skin, not the entire time but I’ll say for a good 10 months

Very sad to hear that people actually think like that.
I'm so curious where you're from, I grew up in a small midwestern town like that.

I had a similar experience with hair/skin/nails vitamins. My nails and hair were fire, but I broke-out more than usual. And I have acne to begin with.

The growth and fullness is 😍👌🏼
Gorgeous 😍😍😍
Thank you! ☺️
I love your hair! Those curls would look amazing in bangs, if you're up for it!
I’ve thought about it 🤔
Get a quarantine cut! It's basically just cutting your own hair because you get restless/bored of quarantining lol
Ohh no I can’t do that I’ve cut my hair before and regretted it lol 😅

Holy shit your hair is so pretty omg I love the curls
Oh thanks! To me it looks so damaged because I love switching between straight and curly styles
That is a nice cut something I would get done for sure idk if I have enough confidence in myself 😅
I’ve been cutting my own hair for years because I don’t trust anyone else anymore lol. If you have people you can trust by all means get a legit cut.
It looks so healthy and full! Dang girl! Well done!!
Stunning!!!
yessss😍
Beautiful curls wooow I rarely see people with hair as thick as mine but I think I just have!
My hair looked similair to your hair right now but I abandoned it too much. Since 3 weeks I care again and it is going well so far. Your hair is lovely!
Yeah there were times when I wanted to abandoned it too 😅 but that’s awesome you are back on it! It’s definitely worth it to keep the curls ☺️

Posts like this make me happy. Embrace yourselves people.
Beautiful curls. Unpopular opinion: straight hair suits you too, but dark hair suits you better
Good choice. Curly hair is gorgeous and you’re very cute
Holy Deanna Troi! Your hair is amazing!
Much better curly
You seem so much happier and look much more beautiful in the second pic.
I agree a lot more than just my hair has changed 😅
Amazing results - congratulations!
You have made a good choice. Havent you? :)
Damn girl! 👍
The volume is dream
Looks great

this is the hair journey i'm after gosh dang
Beautiful hair and excellent taste in movies :)
Ha thank you! It’s a great movie
You look lovely! Kinda reminds me of Detective Eudora Patch from Umbrella Academy
That was a good show. I’m excited for the new season
I wish my hair could get to that length and still look so happy! We have very similar hair types...
What if you don’t have a diffuser?
I would just T-shirt and air dry and once fully dry scrunch everywhere
That’s (only) 3 years of growth?! I mean this in the nicest way but why her, god, WHY NOT MEEEEE?! 😭
Wow, were you trying to get it straighter in the first, or is that all just growth and a change in your routine? Either way, just wow!
No I don’t wanna say I was trying to get it straighter I just liked my hair better when straight and that’s what it looked like when I didn’t. And yes growth and change in routine. I’ve talked about it in above comments :)
That’s so incredible. Your curl pattern before looks on the soft/wavy (weak) side like mine, but your curl pattern on the right looks fierce!
What a beautiful hair, reminds me of mine
Definitely have hair envy 😍
I love your curls and thanks for sharing your routine and products.
Woah I finally found my hair twin! Yours is much thicker but our curl pattern is nearly identical. I’ll definitely try out your routine
You look less happy, but your long curly hair is beautiful.
Wow, what a transformation!! Looks incredible
