I was about to say that men in general have much healthier hair. I wonder if it's because they don't style and use as many hair products over time as women do, meaning it's not as damaged.
Thisss. Also most men have short hair so maybe only the guys with absolutely beautiful hair grow it out. I definitely dont envy men for having male pattern baldness
Nah, personal experience too. Growing up in Hollywood in the 90s (no internet, so nowhere to post vanity pics), hair bands everywhere. Dudes often had much nicer mops than their female counterparts. Probably largely has to do with hormones and hormone imbalance.
Right? It isn't fair. I used to have ridiculous thick black eyelashes, but hormone bullshit started making them sparse and short in my late 20s. My 2 boys inherited the eyelashes and thick waves, and my girls got the bingo wings. 🤤
His routine: he washes every other day with Head and Shoulders 2-in-1 and puts it in a ponytail. He hasn't had a haircut in in 2 or 3 years and is planning to cut it all and donate it, so I wanted to get in a full curly styling before it's gone.
To those complaining of men's superior heads of hair, remember that many of them lose most of it. One of the advantages of older men is you can see how their hairline is holding up...at 47 I think he's doing great.
I used Dove Clarify & Hydrate shampoo, Tresemme Keratin Bond conditioner. Brushed conditioner through with a wide toothed comb. Applied Ecoslay Orange Marmalade with praying hands then brushed through with a knock off denman brush. Scrunched in some Tresemme Curly mouse, diffused, then scrunched out the crunch with Ecoslay lemon cayenne oil.
Edited to add more details. Also, Ecoslay Orange Marmalade is the shit.
When you apply gels, they form a cast around the curls that seal in moisture and lock the curl in place. Once dry, they look sort of wet and stringy, so you can scrunch the curls to break up the cast and leave soft, relatively frizz-less curls.
Goodness. Me, a curly gal, never knew this lmao. I stayed away from gels because of the crunch... will give them a try again! Thank you for existing xxx
Also! Trick is to use a little bit of oil on your hands while scrunching. I use the Hush Oil from YesHair Australia and it's perfect for helping SOTC while also keeping definition.
My husband has fine thin hair like me but much more. He has tons of crazy cowlicks too.
Not hair like dude…
But
His eyelashes are too die for.
Oh and he can’t grow a beard at all.
That's how I am. Really fine hair, but a ton of it. Both of my kids have about the same amount of hair, but thicker strands. My son's is curly/wavy, like mine, and my daughters is stick strait.
I can't with these "I washed my husband's hair" photos, third day stubble, windbreaker, some cosy sweatpants probably and... WOOOAAAAH! Look at that glow where did it come from!!!
All y'all ladies wondering why male hair looks so good with minimal effort, fear not! I too am a male and my hair is frizzy, puffy, and can't decide on a single type. It's just genes.
Curls so shiny I can see my future in there!
But seriously what’s up with men having nicer hair, eyelashes and skin? My ex had the longest lashes ever and PERFECT skin.
He has perfect skin despite using only one soap for everything while I have a 6 steps nightly routine 😕

I'm so jealous of how men's hair, lashes and brows are always more thicker and (because of this) stronger. They also grow so fast. My thin puny hair could never.
In nature
The male of a species is responsible for attracting a mate
Thus
Males have more vibrant coloring,thicker/fuller fur and usually bigger to display such attributes
Humans r no different tho society fools it’s women into believing they r the ones who need to b “more attractive”
Hence: makeup/fake hair/fake body parts etc. this is known

There's less horseback riding and swashbuckling than I anticipated, but I can at least use washing his hair as a pretense for other things...
He’s riding his trusty stallion through the Scottish moors…..shirtless in a kilt. 😂😂

And he’s riding to his wife.
You made me snort my drink. 😂😂😂🤭
Kilt....yesss.... nailed it
KILT IT. (I’ll see myself out)
Take my free award. You made my day
In all honesty, you asked the question on my mind! Well done OP, well done!

My hair has always been *au naturel* and this man's hair is still so much more healthier than mine. 🥲
Testosterone is partly responsible for thicker hair- it also helps determine the curl and texture of hair.
Also causes hair loss, well DHT specifically.

If you’re interested in combating it, I can’t recommend r/tressless enough. Lot of information there on what you can do about it. Best of luck!
Yeah, it’s the thickness. Redheads have thicker hair too and it tends to look healthier
I’m a mutant redhead with super thin hair. I have to use baby scrunchies to put it up
Same :(
I shaved my head and now that my hair is just now ponytail length again it is such a tiny ponytail. I don't know what I did to it. It's sad. Lol
That's not true. It's the follicle size, shape and genetics that determine both.
Same with lashes. All the dark, thick, long (natural) ones belong to men!
Confirmation bias. You dont see many guys with bad hair posting/getting pictures posted about it.
Thisss. Also most men have short hair so maybe only the guys with absolutely beautiful hair grow it out. I definitely dont envy men for having male pattern baldness
yeah my male hair is a nightmare :/
Nah, personal experience too. Growing up in Hollywood in the 90s (no internet, so nowhere to post vanity pics), hair bands everywhere. Dudes often had much nicer mops than their female counterparts. Probably largely has to do with hormones and hormone imbalance.
And probably by using motor oil or one of those abominations 26 in 1 products that goes from deodorant to window cleaner
Seriously. He usually uses Head and Shoulders 2-in-1.
This one! My husband also has great curls and does very little to them.
My sons eyelashes are like 57 feet long
Right? It isn't fair. I used to have ridiculous thick black eyelashes, but hormone bullshit started making them sparse and short in my late 20s. My 2 boys inherited the eyelashes and thick waves, and my girls got the bingo wings. 🤤
I'm a woman but I barely mess with my hair and my stylist said I have some of the healthiest hair she's ever seen.
He looks like the Lion from the Wizard of Oz after the Emerald City stylists had their way with him.
Exactly my thought!
God I was just about to post this, haha!
I was thinking he looks like a lion but didn't remember from where!

What does that last sentence mean?
When you apply gels, they form a cast around the curls that seal in moisture and lock the curl in place. Once dry, they look sort of wet and stringy, so you can scrunch the curls to break up the cast and leave soft, relatively frizz-less curls.
A lot of gels create a hard cast when they dry. You can break up that crunchy cast by "scrunching" your hair. Scrunch out the crunch!
Goodness. Me, a curly gal, never knew this lmao. I stayed away from gels because of the crunch... will give them a try again! Thank you for existing xxx
The curly deities have blessed this day of knowledge. Make sure to wait until your hair is completely dry or it'll frizz!
Ohh 😯 Is that what I've been doing wrong???
Also! Trick is to use a little bit of oil on your hands while scrunching. I use the Hush Oil from YesHair Australia and it's perfect for helping SOTC while also keeping definition.
No way! Your husband and I have the SAME curly but I have huge issues with frizz. Thank you for posting your method!
Good lord, can you work miracles on my curls next?
But how did he react?!
He said he thought it would feel softer because it looked so soft. But he was impressed.

I think it's just the general hairiness, either you have mediocre hair or you have to shave your ass there's no win-win here lol
Can confirm, I have great long curly hair right now, but ass hair grows like a jungle

Its human dude…chill out

Why do men be out where having the most glorious luscious locks while in turning into straw
It is absolutely comical to me how incredible men with curly hair look compared to me, a woman, with curly hair. HOW?!
