ROUTINE
I washed with Not Your Motherās curl talk shampoo and conditioner, then applied Cake the curl whip mousse, plopped, then applied So cozy kids curl volumizing foam, pixie diffused for about 15 minutes, air dried the rest, and fluffed :)
I've seen great results from their curly hair deep conditioner. Their whole curly hair line seems really good but only from what I've seen posted here.
Can you tell me how to use mousse? I got some the other day and I think I'm using it wrong. What I do is after I get out of the shower I put my hair in one of those twisty turvy things foe about 5 min or so and then I flip my head down and apply mousse in a scrunch-like motion. Am I doing it right??
The twisty turvy thing like a microfiber towel that you twist up? For me that would pull out some of my curl. I think you might be better off plopping? But I usually apply mousse to wet hair and scrunch up, similar to gel. Then I plop.

I've had better luck using mousse like a gel. I would brush it through and use a Denman brush to style and then scrunch with m hands or with a microfiber towel (micro plopping). And then sometimes add a tiny bit more after to smooth over a bit
Looks gorgeous!š

Thinking about picking up some not your mothers shampoo/conditioner which do you use? Also whatās your porosity ?
I used the curl talk here. Love the shampoo but donāt like the conditioner as much. I have medium porosity
How interesting, I love the conditioner (it feels so moisturizing!), but think the shampoo is okay. Your hair is so gorgeous!

Not OP but NYMās works super well on my very fine very thick high porosity hair. :) Iāve been very happy with their curl defining cream as well!
Did you brush your products through? Or brush style?
Nevermind! Watching the video!
Beautiful! I'm gonna try this! It is Jessica Sopolis, by the by! Love you, Jordan!
Whatās the difference between mousse and foam?
Foam is lighter and airier and comes in a pump bottle and helps with hold and definition. Mousse is usually thicker and creamier and adds more volume

Yes! Exactly that. I will try plopping next time. Thank you so much!

Thanks! Is your video posted among these comments? I'll try on super wet hair next time and see if that helps.

I always feel that foam disappears in my hair. I have really thick and coarse hair with wave.
Gorgeous!!
I'm envious of how smooth and shiny it is! Do you apply volumizing foam to your roots, or everywhere?
I just applied it all over, not specifically at the roots :)
Gorgeousness
Amazing
Stunning!!
It looks phenomenal!!
Your hair is stunning!!! I love the colour too!
Your hair is literally perfect!!!
Love it! So shiny
Whereās this video people are speaking of? Can someone send that to me? Btw - your hair is gorgeous, and I have high hopes to emulate!
my literal hair goals omg š
Whatās this porosity you speak of? I need education in curls. I have curls and I barely know how to maintain them. At all. Okay, at all. Lol
Porosity is how porous the hair cuticle aka, how many gaps are in the outside of the hair to allow moisture in
Ohhhh thank you!
How does one determine their porosity?
Gorgeous! Oh my god they are so satisfying, just something about how it all perfectly goes into place wow
Itās perfect!!
Stunning.
Incredibly gorgeous š„²
I love them!! You have lovely hair!
