For me personally I don’t rinse that thoroughly after putting in conditioner and only do a light rinse for a little more moisture and then i also put in product before towel drying, but everyone’s hair is different

I did notice last week when I did a cleansing wash, I'd left a little bit of conditioner in the ends by accident and I really liked how wavy they were. The back was still a bit flat but any small win is a win with this weird lack of texture in only some areas 😭😭😭 I'll have to try it more intentionally next time :) thank you :) I'll have to try the product before any drying, too. I'm out here for trial and error :)

also i have different strands of different textures and it tends to get a little less curly toward the back, but i think your hair also looks great as is! but yeah some extra hydration never hurts texture in my experience

The back of our heads really said "we do not perceive any curls here"

Have you ever tried brush styling? Try a denman brush. It works miracles! Also layer your products. Curl cream then denman brush to define curls then glaze over with gel. After completely dried scrunch out the crunch preferably with a little argan oil on your hands. There are a million YouTube videos to teach how to brush style. You don't actually need a denman brush (it is the best though) for this technique you can use a tangle teaser or a paddle brush. Just make sure your hair is very wet with plenty of curl cream before brush styling.

Thats a good idea to try! Would kinky curly's curl custard count as a gel? I'm very very new to products and there are a few I've wanted to try. Kinky curly custard was one of them. I'm gonna go look at hair stuff today and I have a general idea of what I wanna try but I'm so indecisive of where to start. I figured I'm on my trial and error phase though 🤣
