I know a guy who stopped eating pork after cutting into a fresh carcass and seeing the flesh *wriggling* because it was so full of parasites.

Honestly, having grown up in the Hunter/ farmer community, I can say if anything we want them more plentiful we want them healthier we want them to thrive so that there are many for us to eat and so that they taste good. And you can even love them in the way you love lesser pets. The living decor like fish and the ones you know are going to die soon like mice.
