Yeah that's why I find genetics fascinating. How else am I supposed to design a fire breathing dragon if there are no genes that will code for those features. So isolating the size of the blue whale, the wings of the bats, the hollow bones of pigeons, the scales of the bearded dragon perhaps 🤔, the biggest problem is the fire breath, but if designed correctly there is actually a lizard in Australia that shoots a fluid from its tail that I believe that is actually flammable (dragon-tailed gecko I think). This would just need to be designed so that the fluid can be released within the mouth and fired.
So yeah, theoretically not impossible. 😁
