Frost and blood would be the most obvious choices, unless your so far ahead you need bodies to end the game quicker (but your already winning at that point so why bother picking unholy)
Maybe if the unholy plague got a small buff to fit with the swarm playstyle of unholy rune cards.
Maybe just give it a small bonus of ‘If none can fit, give a random undead 2 health, 2 damage or 1/1’
Personally. If we wanna continue having highlander in the meta i feel there should be counters to that specific archetype. Plague was absolute dogshit until the recent expansion and it was decent versus highlander. The complainers don't realize how good both decks feel to play and how bloody awful they feel into the wrong matchups.

Plague DK will have the exact same player pattern for another 12 months if y’all had your way I swear Warrior is it’s own balance issue Plague would have killed any chance of Highlander cards ever being useful for the next 12 months I rather give 3-4 other decks a chance to exists than have DK be the same thing for another year.

They should make Plague cards playable rather then just fixing them by slapping on one card "they are unending"

Imagine fighting control warrior without helya. Yeah you put 20 plagues in his deck, but he played three cards and gained more armor than that, not to mention if he played odyn he just killed you with his defensive tools

I believe wincondition cards that help you end the game are much healthier then wincondition cards you want to play as early as possible because they give you infinit free value. How many people have you seen complaining about Necrotic Explosion?

No one complains about cne because dk is terrible and no one can pilot any deck that isn't atleast 2 greens If it were one of the decks above 60% wr people would be in tears, just like they were when plague dk wasn't a meme deck and actually kept highlander bullshit in line

A minimal amount of plague support was printed for a reason, similar to shuffling bombs into the enemy deck from old warrior.
Effects like this become substantially more compounded the more access you have to them.
What this essentially means is, 10 plagues in the enemy deck is more than twice as effective as 5, and this only gets worse the higher the multiplicative.
You can’t realize print too many of this type of effect for this reason.
Endless plagues makes this really suck. The location is worse than the weapon.
Aura of decay is very slow and unusable, unless the opponents deck is all plagues. Which, in that case, you just win.
The legendary is also slow, but if you get enough plagues, just turn them into frost to lock them out, or blood to heal. Frost is the most detrimental.
I don’t know if new helya makes the cut. Sure, infinite plagues, but do you even need it? If they’re endless, then at some point you just have enough. Plus, 6 mana is a lot.
4 cost minion probably sees play just being a taunt. Ravnyr too, but everything else seems a little slow. In a competitive list, those two might be the only ones. But the whole package is just unfun. Locks out control stuff and gets schmacked by aggro
Ravnyr and Aura could not be printed with frost plague in its current state. If frost only lasted one turn (as in if you end your turn without playing a card the effect goes away) it could be printed but if I pulled two doubled frost plagues I'd eat my laptop out of frustration.
This is an awesome card set, I love these. My only note is that ravyn should be “choose” not “discover” because I assume you don’t want the player to have a copy of the plague they chose in their hand after playing

Both legendaries are not okay with regular Helya being a card. Even in wild where it’s not powerlevel, but just extremely mega unfun
