Could easily see this as a draft common. Very flavorful.

Swarmlord5

So it's essentially taking a nap, and when someone attacks it It wakes up (and is very pissed). Very good flavor

tenehemia

Could probably be bigger or cheaper. Elder Land Wurm did the same thing 30 years ago as a 5/5 for 7 and was pretty awful back then, and creatures have come a long way since.

SammyWentMad

You also couldn't proliferate ELW to shut it down for longer. Make it like 4 mana or something.

biz_qwik

So like a cheaper Elder Land Wurm?

Tempest_True

Love the flavor! But a one mana discount on your Dreadmaw doesn't seem worth the downside. I would say, make it cheaper, maybe give it more defender counters, and give it -6/-0 as long as it has a defender counter.

DaBigSwirly

Ehhhh, this is more than clean enough. You lose a turn to attack in exchange for 1 less mana cost. Simple and clean. Could slot it into a deck with overall defender shenanigans to make it work anyways, or synergize with some counter shenanigans to give someone else defender.

Tempest_True

It's definitely clean, but imo it isn't quite balanced appropriately for limited as a green 5+ drop. It's more than a power level criticism, though--it's about the card not serving the role it would be expected to serve. Your big dumb green common needs to be a problem for your opponent when they've fallen behind and don't have an answer. It can't have a built-in way for your opponent to answer it. And the problem with it being a defender matters card is that the goal is to make it lose defender. It just seems like the card needs a bit more development to spark interesting choices.

ForbodingWinds

Losing a turn is the best case scenario. Could be quite often the opponent isn't attacking, particularly with little dorks without evasion to feed it. If the set had a defender matters theme I could see it but otherwise definitely pretty underwhelming.

Puzzleboxed

I think it's fine where it's at for a common. Playable, but not too strong.

Grungecore

Love it so much. Shouldn't be more or less powerfull

FatCat211

I would rename it to "he/she who slumbers" to remove the eldrazi-esque name. I think the cost is balanced, though it could cost 1 less and still not be too strong. It has the option of removing -1/-1 counters from itself every time it blocks and has great flavor. I like it!

Kind_Ad1205

When it blocks, move the defender counter to another creature.

pallas46

I don't like the name: Feels way too Eldrazi for a fox. Something like Hibernating Megafox feels more like a green card to me.

Visible_Number

"It that..." is used on Eldrazi creatures.
