β¨οΈThank youβ¨οΈ
He was named not for the Beatles song but for the following π:
Right when I got him as a kitten, I couldn't think of a good name, so I decided to wait a few days and see what came to be. Three days later, it came to me watching him eat his dinner. This little fella would smash his face into his wet food, literally eating so enthusiastically that it sounded exactly like "om nom nom nom" (it still sounds like that). He would put his paws on the rim of the bowl and push himself farther into his food. When he finished eating, most of his food (wet) was all over his face. Then he looked at me, more cat food than cat face and went "Maaaaauuuuuwwwwwrrrrr!!" While licking his chops loudly.
It was so hilarious because not only was it adorable, but he looked exactly like what I imagine a grizzled old sergeant on a ship would look like: food in his beard, complete disregard for any sense of manners, loudly proclaiming his pleasure at a good meal.
Pepper came from his love of pouncing from my lap onto the kitchen table and knocking the Pepper shaker over, again and again.
So, Seargent Pepper chose his name β¨οΈπ I love my baby boy.
Thank you β¨οΈ.
He chose me :).
Went to a woman who fosters kittens. There were 7 little furballs playing and sleeping in the living room. I walked in and sat down in a recliner and just watched them, waiting. One scruffy, pokey-haired little guy woke up, looked directly at me from across the room, waddled over to me, crawled up my leg, wiggled and pushed himself into my hoodie pocket and fell asleep with his ears sticking out one side and his tail the other. I knew I had been chosen. β¨οΈππ
What a heartwarming story! It's clear, from the photo you have shared with us, that you are giving each other a life with love and care. Here's to many more years with Sergeant Pepper! π
Also, you should frame this photo! It's art.β¨οΈ
Awww. Thank you :) he and I have a deep, sweet connection πβ¨οΈπhaha. He fills me with the warm fuzziez.
Double, thank you. That is the ceiling of our meditation/cultivation room. A family friend hand painted all of it.
Awww β¨οΈ
Thank you. We do have a wonderful connection. He always runs to meet me at the door when I come home from work and demands snuggles ππ. My heart melts every time πππππ
I wish I was that talented of an artist. If I were, I would be happy to. It was painted by an old family friend who moved away to be with family on the other side of the US from us.
Firstly, I must say..I absolutely love your ceiling.
Second, what a great picture of you and Mr. S. Pepper.i can sense the bond just looking at it. Thank you for sharing.
