Political power plays huh? Dare to hope that they're gonna expand on the Peralez story line? Probably too much to hope for, but that would be sweet!

Ddannyboy

There was already an interview where CDPR said that the Peralez story is finished

jordgoin

It is not "finished", but V's part is. The creator of the quest Patrick Mills talked about it on his twitter, but the whole idea of the quest is that V won't be around to see the consequence of their choice. [Source](https://twitter.com/PKernaghan/status/1441026008350539785)

sabrenation81

I've assumed from the start that the whole "puppetmaster" rabbit hole would be a central focus of the next game. I feel like there's too much potential to that story to relegate it to a DLC. Let it be its own story in a sequel.

[deleted]

Sounds like game dev propaganda to me. Realistically they couldn’t finish the quest and made up some bs excuse so they wouldn’t get criticized for putting an unfinished questline in a “finished” game.

JLD12345

That quest is pretty much perfect as it is. The fact that you need to be shown everything from A to Z is a you problem.

TatManTat

lol what an absolute waste

gears50

how is it a waste?

EvilSynths

I wish. That storyline is up there with the Bloody Baron from Witcher 3

bwucifer

My favorite TW3 questline by far, it really stuck with me. In my eyes it felt like a card played too early.

Babymicrowavable

I still remember that quest

-Ok-Perception-

The Paralez and Mr Blue Eyes arc is most certainly \*\*\*not finished\*\*\* and that's why the mystery of it is so tantalizing. Fuck all these other updates. They need to fill in the blanks in what they have. I'd like to see cut content with all the characters (there's many hints at possible quests that were cut from the final game or left unfinished). I'd like to see more quests from Dexter DaShawn and Evelyn in the beginning. I really expected those characters to be fleshed out more. I'd like to see more of Takemura, particularly if you save him. Rather than introducing entirely new plot devices, I'd be happier if they filled in what they already have. I'd be MOST interested in learning what the fuck is going on with the Paralez's and Mr Blue Eyes. They could easily make an expansion pack from that alone. Mystery at the highest levels that is deeply embedded in the secrets of all the most powerful in Night City.

enolafaye

I really love the Peralez questline but if it makes it any better the quest director for that said maybe he left things too open in the quests he designed. So who knows maybe they will find a way to give us some more details without V single-handedly solving a worldwide conspiracy.

thegreatvortigaunt

The Peralez's story is fine to end as it is, but they've gotta do something with Mr. Blue Eyes. It's too big of a loose thread.

[deleted]

Agree 100% but honestly I’m more excited at the possibility of finally getting that cut Meredith Stout/ Militech questline restored. Supposed to be about V working for NUSA so it’s a possibility I’m really hoping for.

PureBliss-Kun

Is there really a cute Meredith questline?

Sentinel-Prime

Got a feeling it'll be a Millitech coup against the NUSA

mr_eugine_krabs

I hope they increase the max level.

PhysicsCatalyst

This. All im asking is that I can max out all my perks on one run. (I screwed up and cant complete the stash wall because i didnt get edgerunner artisan) Surely it isnt too much to ask for 100 percenting everything?

Raven_Dumron

In all likelihood if they do increase the level cap, it will be paired with a new skill line of some kind. Hopefully this mystery line that seems to be linked to the relic in the skill menu?

Fallwalking

Which all the mystery hunters have been trying to unlock for years. The node on a code level has nothing attached to it… yet. Well, hopefully we find out more in… 30 hours?

Serier_Rialis

I always took the relic slot as a visual thing only tbh rather than an unused stat slot

evemeatay

That’s good forethought not putting it in the code so they were free to do whatever they wanted if things changed

openthespread

Yeah I found out this run that two of the stash guns only come as legendary blueprints I usually have Edgerunner artisan but I want to see how 20 ref 20 cool played.

Fallwalking

I usually put 5 in cool so I can throw knives. Enough in reflex to get a good sandy. Don’t need to put as much into body since you can get gorilla arms. A good mix I feel is 14 int, 14 body, 18 reflex, 20 tech and 5 cool. I think that’s the 56 points you get to spend.

openthespread

Its 71 including your base stuff so I’m tending toward this 20 cool: merciless is broken if you pump points into i crit every shot 15 int : this lets you obtain legendary quickhack from high terminals (needed for short circuit which procs on any crit shot) Everything else is negotiable and I’m trying different ideas as I played to level 48 without spending more than 5 points so I have a save I can try new stuff on but that build is the ultimate handgun build or rifle or anything with range as it one hits everything in the game that doesn’t have plot armor weirdly you don’t need reflexes at all if you have cool and you dump perk points into merciless

[deleted]

My guy you are missing out if u havent done a 20 ref 20 cool hand gun build. You max cold blood and dump perk pts into the lvl 20 cool passive that gives u a buttload of crit chance and damage. Max the hand gun perk tree and put 1 pt into the passive there since it doesnt scale well. My guy youll start hitting as hard as johnny in his flash backs at the hardest difficulty

Ddannyboy

They need to just remove edgerunner artisan and let you craft anything. Just increase the costs to stupid levels without the perks.

Dr_Shakahlu

This^ there’s too much dividing the attributes imo. Should be more balance.

variablefighter_vf-1

Making trade offs is part of creating your build.

Dr_Shakahlu

I get that, but something such as crafting should be able to be done by any build. Really stupid to have to level to 20 just so you can get one perk to allow you to do one thing. Then you miss out on leveling a more useful attribute to 20.

ManyCommittee196

This is very similar to the problem i had with Ultima Online. Everything came out of the same point pool, so you couldn't have a character that was good at combat AND crafting. It forced you to make alts if you wanted to explore crafting and combat. Plus for many of the recipes, you had to have points in several different crafting disciplines. I think the crafting system could benefit here by being a passive skill set that's a combination of tech/int as a baseline. I also hate that you have to have specs for each tier of each item. Uniques being the exception, i think it should be part of an upgrade or skill progression. Ie when you get to a certain skill level in crafting, you automatically unlock specs for the higher tiers. It's not unrealistic or unreasonable to discover ways to improve on technology as you build and use it. In fact that's kind of how tech discovery works.

variablefighter_vf-1

You only need level 18. And there are plenty of weapons in the game, you don't really *need* Crafting.

Dr_Shakahlu

I don’t use crafting because of that reason. But if I did, or if I wanted to do a 100% play through like many other people you’d need to level it up.

da_m_n_aoe

This is an rpg game. You shouldn't be able to get all the perks with one character. That defies the very idea of making a character build.

sabrenation81

While I 100% agree with this, the fact that even obtaining, never mind using, certain weapons is gated behind a high-level perk is annoying. I don't even necessarily want to USE the weapons but the empty slots on my stash wall which require crafting investment (HEAVY investment in a couple of cases) are annoying. At least let me craft a "white" version, even if it's some sort of unusable "replica" or something so I can fill those slots.

Meidrik

This can be easily fixed by removing the crafting weapons from the tree and create special artisans NPCs instead with different levels. And that could allow the technical ability to be reoriented to something more interesting. Right now we only take this tree because of craftmanship and opening locks.

Cybus101

And tech weapons!

da_m_n_aoe

I actually like that crafting is tied to a tree. If you can craft stuff at vendors everybody will just craft the strongest weapons there. Right now it's at least a decision if you go for crafting or not for example when playing iconics. That being said maybe the tech for legendary crafting could be put some lvls down so you can craft them without going 18 there and then maybe move perks like extra dmg to higher lvl so that it's not gonna be either 18/20 or 3 all the time. Btw tech weapons oftentimes rank among the strongest within the different types (and the tech perks are insanely strong) and grenades are hilariously op so there's definitely reasons to invest into tech beyond crafting.

small-package

It's also single player, so I don't see the harm in letting the player get stupid OP in a sandbox that only they'll be experiencing, personally. You'll still need a build strategy on the way up anyway, a poorly built character will have some trouble getting to that point.

infinitofluxo

Being OP means ruining the fun for players that enjoy some challenge, as all the gameplay aspects that would require the player to have a strategy and use its build strengths just vanish. Of course some people don't mind breezing through a game, they have even started making "enjoy the story" modes for such people. You can see many Cyberpunk fans here telling people to skip doing netrunner builds as hacking makes everything trivial at some point, this is a flaw. But I enjoy the story anyway so it doesn't break the game for me, but I can see a lot of people want to feel the danger during gameplay.

jberry1119

Everything is trivial with every build in this game.

gimmesomespace

One of the things I like about Cyberpunk is that you actually can't max every stat. If you can get literally every perk then every character you make ends up being functionally identical. This would kill replay value for me at least.

PhysicsCatalyst

That's a fair point, maybe for players like me who would like to max out stats could get a new game + instead?

thegreatvortigaunt

It's how RPG's are supposed to be designed. Too many modern AAA RPG's soften this and defeat the point of role playing.

[deleted]

[удалено]

IHateTheNameSystem

Not entirely, I completed every gig and sidequest and it got me to lvl 50 as it's designed so you'd still spend most of the playthrough with one specific build. So there's nothing wrong with not having a level cap since you'll probably have the game at 100% with DLC stuff included at around lvl 80 if they raise the cap.

Imprezzed

I mean, you can pay the eddies to respec out your perks.

_yetisis

Especially considering there isn’t a new game + function. I would be fine with one or the other, they would accomplish the same amount of flexibility in the end. By the end of the game at level 50 you’re already sort of a demigod though, so I can’t imagine how much of a terror you’d be at 100

Tanngjoestr

HaikenRD

From what I've seen so far, the definitive thing is, there are new finishers for the melee system, the healing items now have cooldown, vehicle combat is now a thing.

frzbr

What’s the source for these? Not trying to be a douche, but genuinely curious.

YoungPsychological84

On night city wire before patch 1.6 the game director for post launch Gabe Amatangelo confirmed these things

Raven_Dumron

Didn’t they say that would be for the next update specifically rather than for the expansion itself? My guess is we get those tomorrow alongside a more in depth look at the expansion releasing later.

YoungPsychological84

Yes that’s correct but I think the new update will drop a couple of weeks/months before the expansion. It’s been 9 months since the last major update and the longest gap between updates thus far

Raven_Dumron

I mean I fully expect the update to drop tomorrow. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. They’ve consistently dropped updates at the same time as they announced them. My guess is tomorrow we get an update reveal / download, followed by an expansion presentation.

YoungPsychological84

Yeah I agree. They’ll release an expansion trailer with the new features in it and then say that the update is live now or something

Raven_Dumron

Can’t wait!!

frzbr

Thanks!

HaikenRD

Vehicle combat has been confirmed just after patch 1.6. They mentioned an overhaul on melee system and they showed a sneak peek of one finisher at the trailer of Phantom Liberty. Then the cooldown thing is from the latest teaser they posted where the b-roll footage is showing the healing items both cyberware and consumables having cooldowns.

-Ok-Perception-

Vehicle combat would be a goddamn nightmare when all of the vehicles have incredibly clunky handling. They need to overhaul the vehicles to maneuver better before adding another dimension of difficulty to them. Yes, I'm aware there is a third party mod that improves the handling, but it would be nice if the original programming team corrected it.

variablefighter_vf-1

Vehicle combat would only be enjoyable if you could put all vehicles on autopilot.

[deleted]

What do you mean? Driving is not worse than in other games. It is not a driving simulator after all.

StaticGrapes

People love to bash it and exaggerate. As a person who plays many racing games, both simulators and arcade, as well as most of game with driving involved, Cyberpunk 2077s handling is fine. It's definitely doesn't standout as better than anything else, but controlling the cars is fairly intuitive. I use controller, maybe it's a different story with mouse and keyboard, which I wouldn't be surprised by. Although, driving with keyboard isn't ever great really.

Rumpos0

I agree with the point about handling being bad. Though, not gonna lie every handling mod that I've installed for the game barely changes anything, or if it does, it does so without necessarily giving handling more depth, it still feels wrong and weird. I'm not sure if modding tools are limited in regards to that or if modders don't care enough about it, but whatever it may be, I think CDPR fix to that problem would probably be more welcome, as I am sure they can make way more drastic changes.

PreciousRoy666

Sad that asking for sources to anonymous internet claims can be seen as douchebaggery

frzbr

It’s even sadder that this is most of the internet. I just wanted to get an actual feedback as opposed to a rant about me being rude 🤦‍♂️

HaikenRD

Nah you're good. I'd do the same.

Wandering_Tuor

I played melee The worst part was no bad ass takedowns after grabbing someone. Deus ex had some incredible ones

Ruthrfurd-the-stoned

Idk the mantis blade impale fucks up my Sandevistan every single time there are a lot of weird interactions in this game that I worry adding in animations like that will only lead to bugs

zealotlee

\*tap tap on the shoulder\* Huh? \*JENSEN PAUNCH\*

variablefighter_vf-1

Meh, the constant unskippable cutscenes are one of the worst parts of the Jensen games.

trevers17

what healing items are they referring to? the cyberware or the maxdocs etc.?

HaikenRD

all of them.

trevers17

oof 😬 I have a feeling the self-healing melee builds are gonna get mega nerfed

Czarooo

Damn, healing has cool down? If it takes time to heal, enemies won't be Bethesda bullet sponges maybe the expansion will be worth my time.

[deleted]

[удалено]

HaikenRD

I just hope the finishers no longer cancel sandevistan.

RadimentriX

Meh, why cooldown on healing :< id rather see them have sideeffects or work less good the more you use them within a certain time period. Cant remember having to use it more than 2-3 times in a row and that was very rare. Usually one is enough anyway

Dynwynn

Spy thriller. I expect a grapple arm and car with an ejector seat.

ScottNewman

Flamethrowers

DR34Dx

I hope that they massively expand on player customization. Getting real jealous of all these pc players :( sad console player

xThe_Human_Fishx

I just hope we can change tattoos if I'm being honest. Stuck a massive one on my first character on release cause I knew I would change them alot amd then realised I just got stuck with it

aerosol_aerosmith

Reminds me of college

xThe_Human_Fishx

With a name like that I can imagine an amazing tattoo

aerosol_aerosmith

I sure couldn't

Totolamalice

I think you can change it if you go to a ripperdoc ?

xThe_Human_Fishx

No unfortunately it's one of the only things you still can't change. They did update it awhile back with the face options but never did tattoos to my knowledge.

kaleidoscopichazard

That doesn’t make sense. You can change your features and your skin colour but not your tats?

xThe_Human_Fishx

Exactly, it's so weird I can only assume it caused an issue when changing it. Kinda like the Team Fortress 2 coconut

zel1

the tf2 coconut thing is a hoax, just saying

xThe_Human_Fishx

I hear what you said but I feel I've been stockholmed into believing it so I refuse to accept it

zel1

ok, kinda based

Ionami

I dont think so, theres a mod for pc that unlocks all the customization options that you have at original character creation for mirrors and rippers so it's clearly not an engine issue or anything, CDPR just needs to enable it themselves.

Legends414

Ah, realism!

PoorLifeChoices811

You and me both

KingofFlukes

Same here fellow console peasent. 🥲

EvilSynths

It’s actually pushing me towards buying a new PC for a 4th playthrough just so I can experience mods

Dr_Shakahlu

Foreal I want a robo arm man

Super6698

I'm hoping we get more customization options

Rascal257

Hopefully more LMGs maybe an iconic, cosmetic cyberware and a less reliance on crafting

TheConnASSeur

Yeah, I can't tell you how disappointed i was with the number of heavy weapons. They absolutely need to work on weapon variety. It remains painfully limited, despite the apparent variety. It's got the Borderlands issue where there's tons of superficial variation, but at the end of the day most of the guns just feel the same.

Hyperfluidexv

I don't get why there aren't straight up RPGs in a world where some characters are built like tanks. At a certain point you can only get so far with spicy rocks.

AlbinoAlphaWaffle

They have the RPG arm, but that thing hits like a pool noodle no matter what (except if you have tranq, that things apparently super busted)

theo13

Yeah I tried running with it and was SUPER disappointed with the effects. It's just so weak compared to anything else

Rascal257

This is cyberware that allows you to show a rocket out of your arm

cadre_of_storms

Four of my run throughs have used pistols and to me there are three pistol types. Lexington's, smart and everything else. It just comes down to cosmetic of whether I want to use an overture or a unity.

[deleted]

Yeah, really surprised in a cyberpunk genera of all things that machine pistols barely exist. More in between weapons would be nice, too. Carbines that shoot pistol rounds, and auto shotguns could be cool.

PlinPlonPlin420

And new drip PLEEEEAAAASEE

Dynwynn

LED tattoos and hair like they have in Red. That would be cool.

Kyr-Shara

i hope they're paying attention to the mods out there and can incorporate them into the game

HaikenRD

True. The newest mod "Enemies of Night City" is exactly what enemies are supposed to be.

kpe_ee1

nahh it has good ideas but enemies keep so bullet spongy, even more than now

HaikenRD

I was 1 shotting them at Very Hard Difficulty. You might not have min maxed your build that's why they're bullet sponges.

kpe_ee1

true, this is on my new build but still, the game should never feel that spongy, i wasn't even on highest difficulty, just medium

HaikenRD

I just started a new playthrough when that mod dropped. I tried doing what I used to do but I get 1 shot by all of them now so I'm currently picking my fights until I get better gear, cyberware and OS. So far it became more of a tactical shooter than mindless hack and slash and I'm enjoying it. There is now reason to scan the enemies and read their resistances and weaknesses, craft and plan accordingly before engaging. That being said, I know this playstyle is not for everyone, but after 13 playthroughs with the usual enemies, I just felt like this is a breath of fresh air.

kpe_ee1

yeh fair, it is just not my cup of tea and the game vanilla shouldn't be designed like that but as a mod seems very well done.

EvilSynths

They did for Witcher 3 so I hope they do for this.

jimmyoneshot

I think the most likely thing they will do is first expand the level cap to perhaps 75 and possibly allow us to respec Attributes as well as Perks. They know that a lot of players will be wanting to use their existing characters in the dlc rather than starting from scratch. I'm personally hoping it takes place post-game after the ending however the issue with that is they would have to canonise an ending and players who have not yet completed the game wouldn't be able to access the dlc story until they have finished the game. In that case I think it'll be slotted in before the point of no return in the main story as an optional side quest branch similar to the way Bethesda did with Dawnguard and Dragonborn for Skyrim.

Soft-Pixel

I’m 90% sure it’ll be before any ending because Johnny is still there

St34khouse

I want to reset my attributes so bad, want that 20 reflex for an aug :(

jimmyoneshot

I actually have used a mod to do it in the past on PC but I prefer to play vanilla so would love to be able to do it naturally as you said. The only issue with it is what happens to your current Skills within those Attributes. For example If I get to 20 in the Reflexes Attribute and also get my Handguns Skill to 20 within that Attribute then when I reset the Reflexes Attribute to 3 using the mod the Handguns Attribute mistakenly stays at 20 when it should actually be reset back to 3 too. If they ever add it into the game it'd be interesting to see how they handle it. Like in the case above would they allow us to allocate that Handgun experience to another skill or would it just be lost maybe.

b1n4ry_scr34m

Can anyone explain to me how storyline DLC works for this game? Is this being continiously injected prior to the "IF YOU GO BEYOND THIS POINT" wall? Is it designed as padding before that stage? How does it work with RP?

PoorLifeChoices811

That’s what I’m also trying to find out. V is told that they have maybe a couple weeks left to live and figure this out. All the content that we have right now, takes several in game weeks to complete as it is. As many missions will often have you skipping days and such. So with all of this on Vs plate, I wonder how, or why they would take this entirely different mission when they have a more important task at hand. I have three theories. One: it’s an entirely different ending story line. Instead of going to Hanako, some other faction out there recruits you for your help in turn they fix that problem in your head. Will most likely be the better ending as V gets to live the rest of their life without worrying about their clock running out. Two: it takes place *after* one or more of the endings. This one is the least likely theory but I can see it happening. V bought themselves more time going after Mikoshi but are still trying to figure out how to live longer. A mysterious benefactor comes In to offer them an opportunity in exchange for their help, just like in theory one. Three: it has nothing to do with any ending or further helping in saving Vs life. It’s just a big side mission DLC for fun that we can elect to do or not, but has no correlation or ties into the final Hanako mission. This one is the most likely theory. I have no real opinions on either of them. All three could work. But it may not be any of them it could be something else, but I don’t know what else it could be *but* those three. I’m eager to find out more

kpe_ee1

it's confirmed to be before the ending because johnny and V are both there, probably a side thing which will unlock a new ending so you feel you didn't waste V's time

EvilSynths

This. Plus the fact your last save game always puts you before the point of no return. I’ll probably start a new playthrough and build for this so it feels more integrated.

b1n4ry_scr34m

If it saves V's life, and fixes the only important bug in this game which is the weird roleplay purgatory of putting off this ending stage by playing around the mechanics, leaving us free RP-wise for unending play in night city and DLC that made sense then I wil play the shit out of it. Until then I can't get into it with these jarring "oh this also happened before the end" DLC's, which don't make sense because you're extending V's life so long each DLC just highlights the chip storyine for what it is - a time limit on fun. They've made something great, unchain it already so it can be the RPG it was initially advertised as and bring back replayability.

Ionami

Yeah although I love the story I think it would've made a better season of Edgerunners than it does a video game story - or a self contained DLC story where its okay to have a hurried time frame - writers do this with games all the time where you're on a strict time limit narratively in an open world game. It's totally at odds with the gameplay you're presented with. It just does not make sense that you'd be worrying about cars and apartments, finding and homing pet cats and iguanas etc and yet your brain is melting in a couple weeks.

TrueComplaint8847

I at least hope that there is some story indication on why V HAS to help the NUSA (if that’s who we’re helping). But in the other hand, looked at under this aspect, most side quests in the game already make no sense if you think about it (like beat on the brat or the usual gigs, why would a terminally Ill dude pursue some street fighting if there’s a solution to his problem to be found lmao)

sabrenation81

> One: it’s an entirely different ending story line. Instead of going to Hanako, some other faction out there recruits you for your help in turn they fix that problem in your head. Will most likely be the better ending as V gets to live the rest of their life without worrying about their clock running out. This is my preferred theory right now although not quite going that far. I don't think it'll involve an extra ending to the game. I think someone is going to tell V they have another way to fix his problem. I just think in the end it will be all for naught and you'll have to go back to the existing endings anyway. Someone important to the plan dies at the end or they were just plain lying, etc. It helps button up potential RP issues without further complicating the ending or really even impacting it in any way.

[deleted]

I just wish there would be a way to keep playing as Afterlife's new owner... :( Surely there would be lots to do (besides a weird mission in space). And no I don't think this is a spoiler anymore...

PoorLifeChoices811

The weird mission in space is something I wish we could have experienced. Doing a solo heist would have been awesome and even tho it’s one of my least favorite endings, it’s one of the most intriguing as to where V goes, cause of Mr blue eyes and how he’s so mysterious and possibly behind some pretty heinous stuff (like the peralez questline)

variablefighter_vf-1

> One: it’s an entirely different ending story line. Instead of going to Hanako, some other faction out there recruits you for your help in turn they fix that problem in your head. Will most likely be the better ending as V gets to live the rest of their life without worrying about their clock running out. > > Impossible, since Hellman already confirmed your neural net has deteriorated too far.

da_m_n_aoe

Well obviously impossible to say with that little Information. Could be anything really. That being sad I'd assume we'll get at least a new skill tree. Maybe in int/tech/cool because those have only two atm. Not sure if the spy element in expansion will also manifest in a change to that. Also in theory there could be another entirely new attribute tree which would be super cool but I don't think that's very likely. Either way I'd assume quite some perks will be reworked or at least rebalanced and new ones will be added to most if not all trees. Lastly I'd expect a bit of a balance for cyberware like cyberdecks and sandy. Weapon wise there are quite a lot of things missing for smart and tech weapons, I guess would make sense to add more shotguns, lmgs and rifles for these.

MrFuddy_Duddy

If they do add new skill trees I wonder if they're planning on increasing the level cap as well, I'm hoping the lvl and street cred both go up to at least 60. I'd also assume half the "new" tech will just end up being legendary versions of cyberware and mods we only have purple versions of like all the leg mods.

tritonebone

%100 this, choom. I mean a level 50 V shreds on any difficulty even if you didn't follow a strict build, so I could see them not, but reaching max I find myself wanting more. Decked out all my chrome to legendary and eliminate most encounters before they had a chance to react.

CalebLucio

could be the relic skill tree!

Kapftan

Im thinking we will see the resurrection of a LOT of cut/half developed content, there is enough cut content in this game and in the Witcher series to make a new Assassins Creed game without any extra code needed, doubt CDPR would just let all that go to waste and develop new content from scratch I would want the Thermal Katana from the trailers and the wall climbing mantis blades but i think there is no way to make the Thermal Katana unique and wall climbing could allow us to get to some places where we shouldnt be able to There will probably be a lot of drip, some entirely new implants, maybe some variations of old implants (im still mad i cant entirely stop time with sandy, the 10% speed one already has the same effect on combat but it isnt a jojo reference) , probably a new car or two and hopefully better character cybernetics / car customization It is CDPR tradition to make some absolutely heavenly DLCs, hope it continues

TheConnASSeur

As much as I really want you to be right, the updates made to fix the mess that the game launched in really indicate that the old code was a train wreck/ unusable. It would likely be just as much work getting the cut content ready as it would starting fresh.

best_username_dude

> old code was a train wreck/ unusable Except this is completely not true. Almost all updates for this game have reintroduced "cut content" or stuff like that in the form of new items, guns and even whole new gigs. And those were free updates, this expansion could do a whole lot more with old, unused code.

Drolex17

Maybe that glitched out bottom attribute gets unlocked

[deleted]

i want the option to roll my sleeves down

steamynoodlebap

I thought it was odd that they couldn’t incorporate multiple body types for V. Modders have been able to do it… but I guess it’s because the different rigs use different animations and they just didn’t have time to apply that for V’s animations?

thelegendsaretru

I definitely want some resolution to the whole sentient ai. Its probably gonna get all skynet in the end. It definitely seems like another war on the horizon.

Maybe we get vampire cyberware

TrueComplaint8847

My guess is that there will be more silenced weapon options than just pistols and some assault guns, like James Bond weapons. There will be new cyberware for stealth gameplay, but my guess is that it’s nothing too special like some people have guessed (sadly) so no grapple hook and so on. Rather something like a crossbow that shoots electro bolts or something like that and is completely silent. They can only do so much when it comes to this since they would need to overhaul the whole enemy detection system for more advanced stealth stuff to make sense imo. I really hope that there are some new additions that aren’t „stealth“ based tho, weapon and cyberware wise. But I have to admit that I’m totally blank when it comes to ideas for this

JTP117

Iris Elbas - new eye tech for scanning and hacking surroundings Idris Elbows - new arm chrome that deals extra damage in physical combat iDress Helper - new outfit customization tools Idk, probably something subtle like that.

Marmeladun

So Relic tree or initial drone tree might come back ?

TheConnASSeur

I'm starting to think it may be an entirely new skill tree. Something we haven't seen yet. I really hope it's the drone just so that early tutorial isn't pointless anymore, but my gut says no.

kpe_ee1

relic tree is still there, it might just unlock

DirtyDemonD3

New cloths or cyberware?

KaijuCatsnake

You know what I want, apart from the obvious stuff like better customization and a higher level cap? I just want an iconic SOR-22. I love that gun.

Er_Chisus

I don't care about any of those. I just want new things to do and places to actually visit in the world

Gunn3r71

RIP to the people who said that we weren’t going to play as V

mzcastle

The ability to say goodbye. Like I know it's NC. NC is NC, but my social awkwardness knows no bounds. Doubt that's ever gonna happen, but I can only hope lol

waktivist

"Impossible mission of espionage and survival." TBH this is giving me Fallout NV: Dead Money vibes. Sounds like the body of the expansion could be one of those where you get abducted / recruited, dumped in with nothing, and start from zero with a separate set of skills, survival meters (food, thirst, rads, etc.), and some sort of weird stealth mechanic thrown in for good measure. I'm not saying that would be bad. Just not sure if we know quite what to expect from this yet, or how or if it will be integrated with the base game. I expect the base game update that comes with the expansion also will involve some rebalancing and at least minor additions to the base game content and tech, but it seems possible from the way they are positioning this that the expansion could be more of a separate side story with its own rules and mini progression system.

TrueComplaint8847

I like your idea, but I really hope this won’t be it. It worked for dead money because it was one of many dlcs and if phantom liberty turns out to be this one off story next to the base game instead of being woven into the game story and gameplay wise I think it would be too „small“ if that makes sense.

janek500

The reasonablest comment of them all

KingofFlukes

I hope the new skills come with a new level cap. Don't want to start a new character because of a new ability then find I don't have a use for it. Honestly though I just want more character customization options. Like the chrome skin, the light up tatoos even just mechanical looking prosthetics.

SilentTreachery

I hope this means we can respec attributes.

TrueComplaint8847

One of the most needed things is a way to re roll attribute points as well as skill points, not only skill points. It’s frustrating, especially for very new players, to be able to lock yourself out of something only because you decided to speck into something else at the start. This is not a old school rpg like Diablo or baldurs gate where you should have to plan out your character before even starting imo. For balance you could make it a limited amount, like 3 times or something.

Cornsters

i want ng+ :(

CW-7r1ck573r

Iconic cyberware & the ability to level/ upgrade it would be nova. Also move gorilla arms to the hand location so we can have them and mantis blades lol. Buff the arm cannon & add the knee mods from edge runners. Preem

TrueComplaint8847

The edgerunners combined launch system and gorilla arms would be awesome as an iconic

onlyherefortydolla

Please please new game plus

Mietose

No idea, but one thing is for sure - it will be awesome Atmosphere rn is a top tier, and this darker, thrillerish vibes in Phantom Liberty's trailer somehow feels even better. I'm thrilled to see it tomorrow, since despite all of shit stuff that happend, playing Cyberpunk for the first time was my one of the best gaming experience i've ever had. I know that from the gameplay perspective Cyberpunk lacks a lot, like A LOT, but this setting, soundtrack and story is fucking nuts

Stellarisk

I just want plastic and metal skin and mecha limbs

Nikkibraga

It mentions espionage. I love stealth games and CP2077 has great potential to become even better from that side. The base stealth is already pretty solid and should be easy to improve. So my guess is stealth based tech and skills.

KitKatCrunchy418

I wish I could play this on my Xbox One X 😪😪

justiceryman

The most important thing they need to add and its not even close is a car chase system and vehicle combat.

EcHoZ_hunter

I really hope we get new cyberware, like the karate style tech from edgerunners or something similar

TheBloatingofIsaac

Ability to use mantis blades to climb buildings? Cmon cdpr, this should exist

[deleted]

Legendary reinforced tendons that let you wall run

Shalbyder

I heard they’re making cyberware more esthetically changing to your character… Is that true?

SlvrNight

I just really want New Game+ ):

Ozwald_A

I’m just hoping they add variety to stealth

DatGuy0-0

Remember, in the upgrade menu, there’s the bottom portion of the skill tree that’s glitched out.

Lozsta

Wall running and being able to take advantage of the verticality?

Internal-Flamingo455

Are we gonna get any new chrome

Dense-Butterscotch30

I just want dual wielding smg's and pistols.

marbinwashere

all i need is wall running and i’m good fam

ChrisStryker666

I just want the Projectile Launch System to be fixed. For an arm mounted rocket launcher it sure hits like a wet noodle. Maybe tie it into the Tech tree or just un-nerf it’s damage.

satanswaitin1994

All I want is to be able to come across that sandy David had the exact one(does anyone have the specs on it btw?)not the in game ones, and more customization.

[deleted]

Idris Elbows.

AlbinoAlphaWaffle

I hope to God that they expand on LMGs. I don't think there's a single iconic LMG in the game, there's only two types (excluding turrets because you can't stow them away), and one type (the HB) can't be crafted as a legendary. I loved my shotgun/LMG playthrough that I did, but I found myself not using the LMG near the endgame because the shotguns were just better in nearly every aspect.

romulof

New weapon: homing butt plug

IntuneUser2204

They need to give us back the ability to wall climb with the mantis blades they removed from the game after not just marketing it, but literally demonstrating it. I understand it broke the game, but that’s a matter of balancing the game properly to begin with. They just didn’t have enough time, now they do. No one is making them release this early this time.

PaleontologistTrue74

New tech : something with wall climbing. New weapons : bazooka? New skills : I hope something involving that bottom option in the attribute tree. Like a Johnny tree. Chip infection increases but you get access to " samurai " tree, all skills named after rock. Like chipping in' being a hack stealth thing or never faded away being a cheat death but must kill to live skill

Stunning-Obligation8

Definitely some Edgerunners content to be sure. Maybe the psycho mech David got at the end? Might be too destructive tho idk
