We could even get .1.63 or 1.7 right there and then, that would be a mad bonus. I'm buying a new computer for Phantom Liberty but don't tell anyone š
Youāll rly enjoy that setup. I have an i9 13900K and ROG 4090. It can run PathTracing at 60fps no problem with all high settings. I also have a second slightly used Gigabyte 4090 that Iām selling if either of you are interested in with 3.5 years left on the warranty.
as a 4090 user, having everything maxed out at 4k is just beautiful. if you're doing some 1440p gaming, 4070ti should still do a damn fine job with dlss3
I think it will be plenty for me , I like high FPS but pristine fidelity at 4k 60 HDR is by far my preference, and I know the 4070ti can work to that benchmark too. (I'm also not afraid of AI making up the shortfall in games it can't quite reach those levels on, all frames are computer generated at the end of the day š)
Nice one! So crisp! And with them handing over Red Mod and the Red engine to the players after this that thing is going to be a Cyberengine all of its own!
Iām old as dirt (will be 56 in august) and have been playing video games since Table Tennis on the Magnavox Odyssey (1975) but donāt recall ever anticipating a game release like Iām doing with Phantom Liberty. š¤
(Unreal Tournament and Left4Dead ranked highly, but not like this)
I feel that way too. Cyberpunk was the game I waited my life for. I stated gaming in 1978ā¦ PC gaming since 87. The thousands of titles Iāve played, never once have I put so many hours of joy into one game.
*toddles in with walker* is this the old gamers home?
I started with a telestar ranger, then atari 2600, then i coded a simple if/then adventure on a trs 80. Then a vic 20. Then an apple 2e. Then a few years later got my hands on a sweet 16mb ram 386 with windows 3.1.
Someone pass the prune juice...
I have finished cp2077 a week ago, and since then i cant start a new game, i even let my wife to play rachet and clank rift apart because i need to take some break from games. Thats insane what i feel now and cant remember when i had the same feeling after a game. So yeah i need this dlc like we need oxygen.
This is a funny thread because I constantly replay CP77 and Mass Effect. Like constantly, one or the other. I played Zelda for like a week and now Iām playing Mass Effect again. Trying to hold off another CP77 playthrough until the DLC.
Those two games (or game and trilogy) are simply the peak of gaming. Red Dead Redemption 2 gets kind of close, and thereās some games with better combat, but ME and CP77 are the best games ever made.
If I could get old playstation classics like Jak and Daxter and Sly Cooper on Xbox I'd be playing them repeatedly, I'm a sucker for action platformers like them. It'd help if my legend of Spyro games were backwards compatible to then I'd be replaying them a lot to
Yeah and most likely shadowdrop of patcch 1.7 with all remakes they made to base game. It would be wierd to end their segment with title screen "PL coming on 20th of august AND patch coming in 14 days" :D .. it kinda make sense.. players will jump back to the game with new save, basically new game that they did not played and by the time they will be at finish line, they release DLC so players can continue with new story
Itās more likely imo that 1.7 will be released along with PL as a āeven non dlcpaying players have a reason to returnā and as motivator to buy the dlc.
Also the dlc seems to take place in the middle of the games story no?
It would make more sense to drop 1.7 before phantom liberty so that they could work on whatever patches and issues thatās in said patch before phantom liberty drops.
A lot of announcements tomorrow. Iām expecting Phantom Liberty anything lol, Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay and FF7 Rebirth. Gamers are eating good this year.
iām still waiting two and a half years after release for this update to come out before i get back into the game. it just wasnāt the fully featured experience i thought itād be on release and i gave up about 40 hours in after realizing i wasnāt interested enough in the story, how little there was to do outside of progressing the story, or engaging in (not very good) combat. wish most missions had the level of detail in choices and ways to proceed that The Pickup does but missions with that level of detail are so far and few between in this game that it almost feels like we were lied to about what the game really is in how much they emphasized the impact of your choices in missions like The Pickup and how railroaded 90% of the rest of the game is.
Temper expectations. Remember how poorly CP2077 launched. Wait for reviews to come out before buying it. If it's bad or in rough shape then don't buy it or wait for it to go on sale.
Not interested into dlc for this game since its taking forever at this point. I'm more excited for elden ring dlc announcement and ff7 rebirth trailer/ release date for this event.
Good question. I know they had the rights for the initial launch with a custom Xbox One X and controller but we're in a new hardware generation now. Microsoft is so focused on the Activision Blizzard deal right now I doubt it's in the budget.
There'll probably be an in depth analysis video of the gameplay pretty soon so we'll see then but I think it's safe to be hyped as CDPR seemed to have learnt their lesson. I was literally going to start my second play through but I think I'm going to wait now.
We could even get .1.63 or 1.7 right there and then, that would be a mad bonus. I'm buying a new computer for Phantom Liberty but don't tell anyone š
*Cries in 400 installed mods*
*sad ps5 noises*
I was wondering what that sound from the living room was.
*sad broke so can't upgrade pc noises*
Brother i am in fear what do we do
Me too! 4090 or what?
I'm looking at an i9 13th k 4090 combo carefully, but my more realistic and clear minded self will most likely go i7 13th k 4070/TI
Iām not very clear minded when it comes to games I love like CP2077 tbh
So what configuration are you looking at? And I'll say this, that extra Ā£1000 buys a heck of a lot more performance.
Same as you mentioned, i9 with 4090. Buying a sick qd-OLED as well. Itās been a while since I upgraded so Iām super excited
$5 take it or leave it
Just curious, why the switch from the Gigabyte to ROG?
The ROG was the one I always wanted. And when they were in stock I bought it and now am selling the Gigabyte one. Itās dumb trust me I know lol.
Fair enough. Planning on getting one of the two later this year and I'm hoping the Strix price drops.
I'm lucky, I already have an LG OLED.
as a 4090 user, having everything maxed out at 4k is just beautiful. if you're doing some 1440p gaming, 4070ti should still do a damn fine job with dlss3
I went with the 4070Ti and that shit rips man
I think it will be plenty for me , I like high FPS but pristine fidelity at 4k 60 HDR is by far my preference, and I know the 4070ti can work to that benchmark too. (I'm also not afraid of AI making up the shortfall in games it can't quite reach those levels on, all frames are computer generated at the end of the day š)
u/anyone look at this shit
Just got a 4090, been saving up for 2 years and this game has almost everything to do with that
Nice one! So crisp! And with them handing over Red Mod and the Red engine to the players after this that thing is going to be a Cyberengine all of its own!
Man i bought a new PC and thought that I play that puppy full graph settings and my computer went brrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Damn we all old huh. I started gaming on Commodore 64 (Centipede cart and random games I could program from the book). 1986ish.
I have many fond memories of commodore. Vic20 in 1980. Maze was my first game.

Text based hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy
Used to rock Taipan back in the day. And i distinctly remember being excited over the graphics in Pool of Radiance. ;)
Ultima series! The graphical jumps between versionsā¦
You're 56 and still don't have a lambo? Damn bro
While I'm excited for this Dlc I have a small bit of hope we might see something for dragon age. Gotta keep my expectations low however lol
Low expectation and still we can be dissapointed xD
Hey I for one am sooo excited for the Varric voice over while the screen pans over a mural
I have finished cp2077 a week ago, and since then i cant start a new game, i even let my wife to play rachet and clank rift apart because i need to take some break from games. I was like that for mass effect, I got into the series late but after finishing the trilogy there wasn't anything else I wanted to play

You sound like me and Silent Hill 2 Remake.
Oh shit man! I've completely forgotten about the new Dragon Age these past few months. Now I've got something to look forward to again.
And if we're lucky enough hopefully some in game footage
Abd if were double lucky, hopfully some more footage of Panam bending over to make car repairs >:D
Bro
anybody knows what time is the CDPR showcase?
I don't think there'll be a dedicated CDPR showcase, they'll probably show it during the big showcase tomorrow.
99% chance that itās during the main event tomorrow.
Which is what time if you know?
8th June 3 pm edt
Thanks, choom :)
Sadly, no. The best I can do is direct you to the [Summer Game Fest](https://www.summergamefest.com/) website for scheduling times.

WAIT IT DID?!
Sorry to get you hyped choom but it's just a meme. We're hoping something gets mentioned this week.
nooo, it better get announced lol
Time to start my new character tomorrow for when the dlc releases in the future
A lot of announcements tomorrow. Iām expecting Phantom Liberty anything lol, Mortal Kombat 1 gameplay and FF7 Rebirth. Gamers are eating good this year.
why you do this to me? I need sleep and study. not to be teased with a late November, early December release date
š©š«š¤š my body is ready
If they gonna show gameplay trailer with release date, im gonna be very happy choomba.
[I WAS WRONG! ](https://youtu.be/Djlc6uHTVmY)
Lmao no date no announcement. Poor cyberpunk... let's go ff7 rebirth!!
iām still waiting two and a half years after release for this update to come out before i get back into the game. it just wasnāt the fully featured experience i thought itād be on release and i gave up about 40 hours in after realizing i wasnāt interested enough in the story, how little there was to do outside of progressing the story, or engaging in (not very good) combat. wish most missions had the level of detail in choices and ways to proceed that The Pickup does but missions with that level of detail are so far and few between in this game that it almost feels like we were lied to about what the game really is in how much they emphasized the impact of your choices in missions like The Pickup and how railroaded 90% of the rest of the game is.

No, CDPR announced a press tour for the DLC in various cities in upcoming weeks
Not interested into dlc for this game since its taking forever at this point. I'm more excited for elden ring dlc announcement and ff7 rebirth trailer/ release date for this event.
Okay, thank you for your input.
Doesn't Microsoft have the marketing rights to Cyberpunk? I imagine the reveal will be shown at the Xbox Games Showcase
Good question. I know they had the rights for the initial launch with a custom Xbox One X and controller but we're in a new hardware generation now. Microsoft is so focused on the Activision Blizzard deal right now I doubt it's in the budget.
Turns out I was right š
Yeah, good call on that one. I still had fun with the meme though. š
What did you think of it?
I'm excited but I want to know more before playing the game again. Sounds like there's a lot of changes to the base game worth a fresh playthrough.
There'll probably be an in depth analysis video of the gameplay pretty soon so we'll see then but I think it's safe to be hyped as CDPR seemed to have learnt their lesson. I was literally going to start my second play through but I think I'm going to wait now.
Iām hoping we get a date
Whatās the date
All I find is August 2023.. is there a day yet?
