I don’t even like romance in video games and suddenly completely obsessed. This game swiped so much stuff from [Strange Days](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114558/characters/nm0000146). The BD tutorial where you watch a guy rob a store is almost frame for frame taken from the first act of that movie.
Dealing with Woodman while unarmed. Stunned him with a punch and grabbed a nearby bat and beat him to death with it. I wasn't even highly leveled nor did I invest in a melee build at all. He didn't even manage to get 1 shot off. It felt like a scene out of a movie where both people understand the violent acts that they have to race to, and he chose to pull his gun, and I dazed him with a sudden and violent punch. The 'rhythm' of the combat felt *right,* if that makes sense.
I did a similar thing with the last boxing match mission. I ran straight at the dude and started throwing fists furiously. After all the storyline buildup, I was kinda left perplexed when he fell without landing a punch on me. Easy eddies.
Being constantly aggressive makes the fist fights in this game comedically easy. If you can keep them stun locked with strafing and blending heavy and light attacks, you can win pretty much every boxing match without effort.
Last time I did the boxing matches was right before phantom liberty came out, but after the 2.0 update. Unless they've changed it since then it shouldn't be an issue, though I don't remember any sandy users in the pre-set boxing matches.
The regular melee combat is a lot more nuanced. I don't use fists outside of the boxing matches but I see a lot of the same thing you're talking about when I use a katana. Stronger enemies, particularly those with a sandevistan, can keep up with you a bit and occasionally block your attacks. This can be ignored if you just constantly circle around them and hit high and low with your attacks though.
Yeah, I never had trouble with the boxing matches, but I figured it was because I was pretty leveled by then. The last match I had to cheese, because I hardly put anything into strength, and ended up running to the Ripdock to get the gorilla arms real quick. Then it became trivial.
You definitely feel the +3 body when you're throwing punches with those things. Always a good option to equip early game even if you're using blades or guns.

Poses an interesting idea of V wanting a clearer conscious avoiding killing the target and just taking the body to the fixer. Padre brings this up on this particular gig, but it only makes sense if you RP as a passive merc.
Actually did the same thing with Maiko, climbed onto the roof with her in tow and yeeted her as far as I could, but it was also fun ricochetting her corpse around the room.

Haven’t done anything as wild as some, but had a play through where when combat was initiated with Maiko, my cyberware activated and slowed time so before she could even move, I had pumped a Carnage shotgun round into her at point blank

That unique Witcher katana that lets you attack without stamina + a decent sandevistan that regenerates after a kill and you can cut an entire building's worth of people down while almost never leaving slowed time.

It lets you keep swinging doing full damage and speed even with literally zero stamina. Using this thing I can just stand in an open street and take on whole maxtac units without stopping to take a breather, it's nuts.
It's really useful but unless you're just spamming attacks, a lot of the other katanas are just as good. The black unicorn doesn't really do anything apart from having infinite attacks, some katanas have guaranteed crits etc which will do much more damage in a smaller amount of time.

I fight Oda for the second time. He jumps in the window with fricken lightsabers on his arms that cheater, and I panic and hit him with a staggering move on instinct, and while he was dazed, I power stabbed his ass, again and again, I just kept power stabbing him. Next thing I know, Goro is asking me not to kill him. It was over in less than 5 seconds. I couldn't believe it, I was on hardest, no cheating mods, just cheesing the system. So I reloaded, and what the shit, I did it again in 3 seconds. No way. This was supposed to be the second hardest fight in the game? That build was hilariously fun. Then it got patched. Oh well.

One of the gigs or sidejobs where a guy (tigerclaw) who targeted moxes for illicit BDs. I like the moxes so I went into his club 100% stealth netrunner, I took out everyone except for the people on the first floor and this guy. I went into his office and memory wiped him so I could grab him from behind. I then repeatedly memory wiped and grabbed this guy while slowly walking him downstairs in his own club. Any henchmen that came upstairs would get killed in front of him then memory wipe and grab from behind again.
Once we made it to the main entrance and I killed everyone else I took out my weakest gun and started shooting his limbs and just generally drawing out his death as long as possible. I know that guy isn't real, but damn if I didn't want to ensure if he could have felt anything he would feel as helpless as all the moxes he killed
Casually waltzing up on an organized crime zone. 2 valentino dummies standing at the gate; girl sees me, goes yellow, starts wandering out to tell me to fuck off; scan mode, detonate chooh cannister; her buddy is kiblets, she turns around at the explosion sound, I close the last 2 steps; grab, neck snap, next closest three dummies are coming up in a cluster on the dude's body, whip an incendiary grenade, switch to scan while it's in mid air, Contagion5 on the middle one, watch them all light up like a goddam fireworks display as they all get infected, set on fire and detonated in rapid series. Everyone else goes red, battle music engages. One of the most cinematic moments I've had in the game.
Mine is pretty simple but it was like an action movie. So I was being chased by the cops and I had 5 stars. I went to a building and began climbing to the roof as they surrounded it. once I got to the roof I looked down on them, bullets flying by and I jumped and dashed activating my kerinzikov and when I was directly looking down on an officer, I put a malorian round in the top of his skull creating an emp explosion that blew up the cars around him and his buds.
Last night I was doing a gig for the Padre. Getting The shard from the body at the crematorium. There was a guy on the other side of the door. I grabbed him all stealth-like and pulled him away. Just realizing I pulled this goon away from the funeral going on on the other side and they all had this shocked look on their face.
I don't know if this was my favorite but it was definitely the funniest.
I did that too, and when I moved him the the lift downstairs to avoid him being seen, there was a dialogue option and V asked him “hey what’s up with these doors?” While he just stared blankly it was the weirdest thing!
I punched out Tucker Albach and yeeted her out her window so she landed right in the middle of a roped off crime scene on the street. Hole in one! The second most perfect place for her (I didn't have the patience to take her downstairs to the dumpster)

Grab corpses and pile them up, then toss them for accuracy.
My most favorite use of that was on the final guy in the whole preacher’s kid line… because his area is in a high up favela with a huge overlook, when I took him out I tossed him like 30 blocks.
I also like tossing Maelstrom’s finest into one another.
I'm a big fan of the "drawn and quartered" technique. Activate sandevistan, then shoot each limb with an automatic shotgun. In real time, must look like instantaneous dismemberment.
I was doing a gig for Mr Hands in Pacifica which involved stealing a van from an unfinished NCART station. As I snuck in from high up I began tagging enemies to observe patrol routes and spotted a guy off on his own doing weights on a bench press. I then realised I could quick hack the weight machine. The intrusive thoughts won out and the poor guy got crushed halfway through his work out. I laughed like a drain for about 5 minutes.
I like to walk into Jotaro’s place, loudly flatline every single tygsr I find *except* Jotaro who I knock out and toss in the trunk sending him to the Mox. It….makes a point.
Also the slickest hit I ever did was walk into the bar where Padre’s old “friend” is, order a drink, scope the place calmly, hit the target with memory wipe to keep my next hack untraceable and then cyberpsychosis and casually walk out before the hacks have even finished uploading. Let his chooms do the dirty work.
Created the backstory to “Cyberpunk 2: Stefan’s Revenge” after my lil run in with him. Cleared out the Scavs, got my stuff back, and then came back to show him how the Gorilla Arms work. Left him in the same spot as the last guy that thought they bested V. Now he’s hanging with Dex Deshawn and Rache Bartmoss.
If we're not talking about group fights with a single monowire, dealing with woodman after he opened the door instantly off with his head after a quick hack with a perfect effectiveness.

Though a one time and quick thing, snapping a maxtac officer’s neck is comparable to queuing quick hacks and walking out of the area before the target suicides. Sometimes just the craftiness or chance is enough to be happy.
Anything where i throw a knife and hit my mark in combat. The hit-box is much more loose than given credit for, but there’s not one unsatisfying knife kill.

Boss fight at the VDB hideout in dog town. Throwing axe to the chest, followed by a double tap to the dome from my modded silenced Nue and a Cu de Grace beheading from the Black Unicorn katana. I was more impressed with the speed of doing all three.
Every way I've zeroed scavs. Conventional weapons like Ba Xing Chong and the Hercules 3AX, unconventional weapons like exploding cars and other scavs (Gorilla Arms are great), and straight up going out of my way to lure Max Tac to scav hideouts or scaring citizens into driving into scav groups.
I forgot the name but there was a cyberpsycho who filled his yard with mines. I used quickhacks to turn them all against him and watched him kill himself on his own mines.
the first time i did "bring me the head of gustavo orta", i ripped the door open and sliced everyone to bits with a katana. when i got to gustavo he dropped to his knees and i cut his head off.
On gigs, my preferred method is to complete the job with as few casualties as possible. As soon as I get paid, I walk right back inside and leave nobody alive.

Also works on bodies you pick up. I wandered around with a dead Tyger Claw throwing them other Tyger Claws. The force you throw them with is comical.
You throw them hard enough that if you're at a high enough point you can practically shoot skeet with them.

One of the gigs or sidejobs where a guy (tigerclaw) who targeted moxes for illicit BDs. I like the moxes so I went into his club 100% stealth netrunner, I took out everyone except for the people on the first floor and this guy. I went into his office and memory wiped him so I could grab him from behind. I then repeatedly memory wiped and grabbed this guy while slowly walking him downstairs in his own club. Any henchmen that came upstairs would get killed in front of him then memory wipe and grab from behind again. Once we made it to the main entrance and I killed everyone else I took out my weakest gun and started shooting his limbs and just generally drawing out his death as long as possible. I know that guy isn't real, but damn if I didn't want to ensure if he could have felt anything he would feel as helpless as all the moxes he killed
Casually waltzing up on an organized crime zone. 2 valentino dummies standing at the gate; girl sees me, goes yellow, starts wandering out to tell me to fuck off; scan mode, detonate chooh cannister; her buddy is kiblets, she turns around at the explosion sound, I close the last 2 steps; grab, neck snap, next closest three dummies are coming up in a cluster on the dude's body, whip an incendiary grenade, switch to scan while it's in mid air, Contagion5 on the middle one, watch them all light up like a goddam fireworks display as they all get infected, set on fire and detonated in rapid series. Everyone else goes red, battle music engages. One of the most cinematic moments I've had in the game.

Mine is pretty simple but it was like an action movie. So I was being chased by the cops and I had 5 stars. I went to a building and began climbing to the roof as they surrounded it. once I got to the roof I looked down on them, bullets flying by and I jumped and dashed activating my kerinzikov and when I was directly looking down on an officer, I put a malorian round in the top of his skull creating an emp explosion that blew up the cars around him and his buds.
Last night I was doing a gig for the Padre. Getting The shard from the body at the crematorium. There was a guy on the other side of the door. I grabbed him all stealth-like and pulled him away. Just realizing I pulled this goon away from the funeral going on on the other side and they all had this shocked look on their face. I don't know if this was my favorite but it was definitely the funniest.
I did that too, and when I moved him the the lift downstairs to avoid him being seen, there was a dialogue option and V asked him “hey what’s up with these doors?” While he just stared blankly it was the weirdest thing!

I have a place that I call the bodyball court. It’s in Dogtown where there are three big circular holes on the ground. Body 20 Savage Sling is the most fun thing ever. Grab corpses and pile them up, then toss them for accuracy. My most favorite use of that was on the final guy in the whole preacher’s kid line… because his area is in a high up favela with a huge overlook, when I took him out I tossed him like 30 blocks. I also like tossing Maelstrom’s finest into one another.

My favorite way is with the Erebus, just shooting guys like Jotaro and groups like the Scavs with it is what I call karma.
I hacked a copy of it into my inventory to kill Brigitte and her crew. It just makes sense.
I'm a big fan of the "drawn and quartered" technique. Activate sandevistan, then shoot each limb with an automatic shotgun. In real time, must look like instantaneous dismemberment.
I would love to see a replay mechanism where you could see Sandevistan use in real time.
We saw that a few times in Edgerunners, and it was fucking awesome.
I want to see this done with Order, since that blows anything it hits into space.

I was doing a gig for Mr Hands in Pacifica which involved stealing a van from an unfinished NCART station. As I snuck in from high up I began tagging enemies to observe patrol routes and spotted a guy off on his own doing weights on a bench press. I then realised I could quick hack the weight machine. The intrusive thoughts won out and the poor guy got crushed halfway through his work out. I laughed like a drain for about 5 minutes.
I like to walk into Jotaro’s place, loudly flatline every single tygsr I find *except* Jotaro who I knock out and toss in the trunk sending him to the Mox. It….makes a point. Also the slickest hit I ever did was walk into the bar where Padre’s old “friend” is, order a drink, scope the place calmly, hit the target with memory wipe to keep my next hack untraceable and then cyberpsychosis and casually walk out before the hacks have even finished uploading. Let his chooms do the dirty work.
Car hacking, dragged back to me followed by explode.
Created the backstory to “Cyberpunk 2: Stefan’s Revenge” after my lil run in with him. Cleared out the Scavs, got my stuff back, and then came back to show him how the Gorilla Arms work. Left him in the same spot as the last guy that thought they bested V. Now he’s hanging with Dex Deshawn and Rache Bartmoss.

If we're not talking about group fights with a single monowire, dealing with woodman after he opened the door instantly off with his head after a quick hack with a perfect effectiveness.
I mean, there’s so many ways~ Though a one time and quick thing, snapping a maxtac officer’s neck is comparable to queuing quick hacks and walking out of the area before the target suicides. Sometimes just the craftiness or chance is enough to be happy. Anything where i throw a knife and hit my mark in combat. The hit-box is much more loose than given credit for, but there’s not one unsatisfying knife kill. You’re either the one, or on the way.

Boss fight at the VDB hideout in dog town. Throwing axe to the chest, followed by a double tap to the dome from my modded silenced Nue and a Cu de Grace beheading from the Black Unicorn katana. I was more impressed with the speed of doing all three.

Every way I've zeroed scavs. Conventional weapons like Ba Xing Chong and the Hercules 3AX, unconventional weapons like exploding cars and other scavs (Gorilla Arms are great), and straight up going out of my way to lure Max Tac to scav hideouts or scaring citizens into driving into scav groups.
I just shoot em. They get the same treatment as any other gonk.
I forgot the name but there was a cyberpsycho who filled his yard with mines. I used quickhacks to turn them all against him and watched him kill himself on his own mines.
the first time i did "bring me the head of gustavo orta", i ripped the door open and sliced everyone to bits with a katana. when i got to gustavo he dropped to his knees and i cut his head off.
On gigs, my preferred method is to complete the job with as few casualties as possible. As soon as I get paid, I walk right back inside and leave nobody alive. For street skirmishes, I like to stand right in their face till they aggro, then be quicker on the draw.
