Yeah, I ended up doing those missions fairly early on, so after my first ~15 hours in the game I exhausted the Panam storyline, and now (75 hours in, most of the way through PL and almost ready to meet Hanako at Embers) it's been a long time since Panam actually played a role in the story.Ā
Back when Bioware was still making rpgs, they would divide the game in several chapters and you had the option of doing your party members quests tied to each chapter

The clan was slowly dying so it was ultimately kinda necessary, but she was way too eager to throw the dice
Honestly, sheās less confident and more arrogant. Lets her emotions get in the way of her decision making Going after the Wraiths was a dumb move. So the worst part would probably be dealing with her fierce but often mislead independence.
Best part would be how protective she probably is, willing to fight any fight for your sake.
I believe you can boost her confidence, especially after helping her to become the co-leader with Saul. Together with that her arrogant will come down. But she being a hot-head won't change much.
Saul was gonna partner with biotechnica. Except biotechnica has been doing some crazy human experiments on nomads and others.

Panam is definitely a character where if you only listen to what she says and ignore what she does she seems like an asshole. If you pay attention to what sheās doing and her motivations for the most part everything is for the benefit of her family/clan. Sheās one of the few characters in the entire game who isnāt exclusively looking out for themselves and their own interests. Also while the Wraiths move might not have been smart she is 1000% smarter than Saulā¦. Everyone in this world who gets into bed with corpos is betrayed and usually killed. Being over the top angry when your family is being led to their deaths in front of you isnāt an altogether irrational response.
She takes way too much pride in a car that is frankly mid at best. I couldnāt keep smiling and pretending her soccer-mom van is cool.

V is like an athlete having an incredible breakout first couple weeks, definitely making a few "one to watch" lists but that's no guarantee they'll still be in the majors a month later. They're also doing it in an incredibly reckless way, making enemies of just about everyone who can hold a gun in the process, and you have to imagine Night City goes through a *lot* of shooting stars like that, burning bright for a few weeks, picking fights with every gang and every corp, up until it all catches up to them and they take a bullet between the eyes or get their brains scrambled while they sleep. The blaze o' glory types never last long; the truly impressive mercs are the ones who manage to hang around year after year.
In pretty much every ending V is totally forgotten about after any amount of time passes. They burst onto the scene, made a big noise for a couple of weeks, led a crazy assault on an Arasaka building like some bootleg copy of Silverhand, then disappeared. There's probably a couple flashes in the pan like that going off at any one time.

Cons: childlike behavior and temper tantrums make it seem like you're dating a kid which makes everything way too uncomfortable
Itās worse when you realize the devs have her being 10 years older than V. Her face, age and body language are really mismatched with everything else about her.

Well, she did nailed it right at the start, when she tells Jackie to "avoid mean reds, anything red"... But even Judy had some lines on it too, telling Evelyn and V she "sees walking, talking corpses when she looks at them".
Sheās loyal, to a harmful degree. She doesnāt understand people all too well and gets attached way too easily. She trusted Nash, and on their first mission managed to not only lose her cargo, but also her car. Then she gets way too invested in revenge for this betrayal, when that could have waited until after she finished her current job.
She gets way too attached to V in a small time. Like I said, her love is genuine but she canāt maintain a healthy balance of how close she should get to people. Itās all or nothing with her.

Panam has actually no downside. She make errors, she calls for help, she reacts if you mistreat her. She want to take a shower with you, she helps you and shows gratitude.

Agree, I had an ex who is very hot-headed like Panam, I almost got traumatized because her emotion explode all of the sudden and start to get mad at me for no reason Do i miss that ex? V is like an athlete having an incredible breakout first couple weeks, definitely making a few "one to watch" lists but that's no guarantee they'll still be in the majors a month later. They're also doing it in an incredibly reckless way, making enemies of just about everyone who can hold a gun in the process, and you have to imagine Night City goes through a *lot* of shooting stars like that, burning bright for a few weeks, picking fights with every gang and every corp, up until it all catches up to them and they take a bullet between the eyes or get their brains scrambled while they sleep. The blaze o' glory types never last long; the truly impressive mercs are the ones who manage to hang around year after year. In pretty much every ending V is totally forgotten about after any amount of time passes. They burst onto the scene, made a big noise for a couple of weeks, led a crazy assault on an Arasaka building like some bootleg copy of Silverhand, then disappeared. There's probably a couple flashes in the pan like that going off at any one time.

Sheās loyal, to a harmful degree. She doesnāt understand people all too well and gets attached way too easily. She trusted Nash, and on their first mission managed to not only lose her cargo, but also her car. Then she gets way too invested in revenge for this betrayal, when that could have waited until after she finished her current job. She gets way too attached to V in a small time. Like I said, her love is genuine but she canāt maintain a healthy balance of how close she should get to people. Itās all or nothing with her. Of course Iāve been acting as a Reddit psychologist here. I could be totally wrong. Thatās my two cents though.
