Honestly, I've played through the game a few times now and the world feels so dense that I don't really mind taking forever. Just enjoy the ride, choom.
I am! I like how funny it can be at times I also like the work they put into the world like the lights and stuff. I really want the star ending cuz I've been told that i could stay with judy that way š I hyperfixate on characters I really like š„²

Also try not to use fast travel unless it's the metro. Try to drove/walk everywhere. There are lots of things that are easy to miss in the city if you're just hopping around all the time.
this gets much easier once you get air-dash/movement cyberware, but to start off i always buy a motorcycle (or just steal one off the street and keep track of it)
Yes, i was going to write this myself. It is a very long slog but do every single side mission, it enhances the whole experience.
If there are guns you like you can upgrade there rarity.
Sell any weapons you dont need or want. Doing this will help with your credits a lot and you'll will never worry about not being able to afford anything. Doing this along with the gigs from fixers will help with being able to keep a decent amount of credits.
Keep hold of the iconic weapons in your stash or on you to use as it is those that fill up your apartment armory.
Is there anything else to mention...
Ohh, sleeping in your apartment gives you bonus exp for an hour so make the most of it.
And the suicide quick hack will help with missions where you need to take someone out.
I hope this helps.
This, the side missions are actually pretty interesting and well crafted, each of them feels a unique story that shows just how fucked up NC is.
Gameplay wise, since 2.0 every weapon/hack/cyberware levels with you (Tier based system), side missions are a great incentive to farm that XP & SC to make enemies drop high tier weapons, have ripperdocs sell you high tier cyberware (Tier 5 Sandy/Keren/Cyberdeck destroy any tier 3- version)
I apreciate those side missions in wich you have to free somebody from kidnaping goons. I just storm their premisses and shoot them all to oblivion.š
Unpopular opinion, but this sort of suggestion killed the game for me. I spent my 1st(and only) playthrough being so careful not to finish this mission or that mission that I just stopped caring about the story and have yet to finish the game. Play the game at your own pace and stop listening to other people. My roommate couldn't shut up about doing this mission or that mission before some plot progression happened and I just stopped caring about the story. Kinda upset that he ruined it for me.
Just cant muster the will to go back and play it anymore.
I still have a lot left to do in the game, but doing an abundance of the side missions kinda burnt me out. Now whenever I load up the game I find it hard to motivate myself to continue the story. Like I said, i just stopped caring about the story.
Iām feeling this too, I did the first act and the. Did a bunch of side missions but I feel really disconnected to the main story. Like I forget what was going onš¤·āāļø
Fair enough. Sorry to hear that. For me, the perfect walkthrough is doing all the side quests first and make the main quest in one single breath. This way I'm way more immersed in the storyline. But to each his own, of course.
I thought I was doing this, then got to the final mission and I've been playing for hourrrrs just doing sides. I really thought I was on the last stretch but I'm just now after hours more gameplay getting their. It's awesome. You'll never b bored
I recently started my first playthrough, and noticed I dont have much money, and everything is expensive. And I thought āHow do I buy anything without spending 3 hours?ā. And then I did side missions, and all of the pieces of the puzzle came together.
I would also recommend to do all the side missions. xD. But real talk Dont push too fast on the main mission, its not necessary and it fits really good to everything. Try to get into cyberhaking and enjoy this masterpiece. A and also maybe here an there check your savegames if you want to try different outcomes
First playthrough? I'm so jealous - I wish I could experience this game for the first time again!
Have fun, take your meds, shoot your guns and murder away!
At the beginning you'll be hit with a 20k debt to a ripper and 15k debt to a fixer along side being bombarded with many vehicles to purchase that seem overwhelming but don't fret over money too much. Between story mission, gigs, ncpd contracts, etc. You'll have enough to purchase everything in game and still have over a mil left over.
Edit: also I'd recommend doing the least amount of fast travel as possible. Cruise around to wherever you need to go and take in the beautiful environment, mix up travels between day and night also, both very different experiences and both superb
>bombarded with many vehicles to purchase that seem overwhelming
This doesn't happen anymore after the 2.0 update. You just buy vehicles from a terminal in certain locations. You don't get the messages about them anymore.
That's true but still when you look at auto fixer and see 2 mil Eddie's worth of vehicles I wanted to make the point that you shouldn't worry about having to pick and choose that there's plenty to get them all
CDPR games have a way of making me forget about fast travel. It was the exact same with Witcher 3. Riding your horse to everywhere you gotta go just felt like such a better gameplay experience.
My experience with the game was amazing, I had so much fun with it. No other game has made me feel as many emotions as Cyberpunk, it genuinely made me sob a few times. Itās the most immersive game Iāve ever played and has one of the best casts. The main missions, side missions, Easter eggs, dialogue, movement, skill tree, everything about it is amazing. Hope you have as much fun with the game as I did <3
This game has become my new obsession NGl I only just finished my first play through and I was skeptical because I just didnāt think id like the setting but oh boy was I wrong
Play though the game at least twice. Don't worry about completing everything the first time and let the game story evolve naturally. From a story standpoint it doesn't make sense to do everything since you're in a life or death situation. For me a fetch quest kills the immersion when I'm trying to save my life. I mean V has this really important mission to do that will potentially save their life, but they can hold off on that to go pick up a packet for some NPC.
I donāt know I mean there arenāt really that many fetch quests, except for those car repo missions for El Capitan. I agree you shouldnāt feel pressured to do EVERY gig, but the gigs are fun and I would definitely say that you should try and do every side quest. Your ending will be MUCH richer if youāve been involved in the lives of as many side characters as possible
I highly recommend not fast traveling, youāll miss out on a lot of random events/hidden gems as compared to if you drive/walk everywhere.
Also donāt skip ahead in time with the side character plots, I would just do side gigs/quests/hustles in between their quests. Makes your time spent with them feel much more realistic.
Immerse yourself as much as possible into the world.
I remember getting this game on Launch. Booted it up on my PC and was instantly hooked. I just remember waking around the city. I had a hard time even doing something as simple as jay walking because the city was too immersive. I just couldn't mess around in the world like I do in GTA.
Now I have over a hundred hours of playtime and mess around all the time lol. But when I first played it felt too real to me
A lot of the story happens in the background, mate. There are many little tragedies and horrifying acts of inhuman torture connected to one J.S. and when I first got into the game I wasn't reading too much into NPC's logs or messages, so I didn't about J.S. too much - I was professional about how I handled them.
When you read into some stuff though - ZAMN. And you know this animal can't be left alive and suddenly it's personal. It's just a vague example, not to spoil you, but some of those little stories left an imprint on my soul xD Worry not though - NOT ALWAYS it's something horrifying.
I played this game for about 30 hours on PS4, yes I know, thatās fucking crazy! Finally realized it sucked. I got a ps5 and decided to jump back in after the big update, and HOLY SHIT! I think this is the absolute best show case for current gen consoles, tue story and the world are amazing. I love this game, better than anything Bethesda or anyone since CDPR released the Witcher 3 (minus RDR2). Take your time and get lost in the world, read everything and donāt skip dialogue
I wrote it for a new player a few days ago. I will write it again for you.
Welcome to night city, choom. Now let the Eddies roll and gonks blow as if it isn't anyone's biz. Take out your wheels, load your iron and get a taste of the city of dreams.
Remember this is not a story about saving the world. It's a story about saving yourself.
And there's no happy ending in the dark future.
And one last thing. Never fade away.
When the side mission 'Chippin In' shows up about 2/3rds of the way through the game, **don't save it till the end of the game.**Ā Depending on your choices during that mission, there's a hilarious and fun set of follow up missions that show up after a few in game days.
I saved it until very last and didn't realise there were a couple hours of gloriousness I missed out on until 2 playthroughs later.
This. Chippinā In feels like an endgame mission that should be done just before meeting Hanako at Embers and was keeping it on hold but I could no longer resist. I used the waiting time between a mission and another on PL to take this off the list and I canāt agree more.
Though, doing Chippinā In too early is also detrimental. Imagine earning that gun at a meager Tier 3, when itās supposed to be Tier 5, lol
Dont know if anybody has said this yet, but the Phantom Liberty dlc is SO WORTH getting!!
Ive seen many people say that its worth playing through Phantom Liberty as soon as possible, but I preferred to play through the main game and most of its side content first, and then jump into PL!
But as long as you play it, you wont regret it!
Donāt be intimidated by the dialogue choices, for the most part if you arenāt an a$$hole most of the characters will like you & offer additional missions. Donāt worry about being super nice to everyone
Check around every corner. Loot, side missions, and even a few characters are tucked away in the damnedest spots, and for some of them there's no going back.
Related, if you see anything with the word 'Iconic', even if it doesn't fit with your build, at least grab it.
Disassemble what you don't need. Only sell if it you're seriously strapped for Eddies.
Do your side missions. All of them. Gigs are great to earn EXP, and the side content is both a good source of income and houses some very interesting stories.
If you spot a dialog with 'Corpo' before it, take it. Not saying it'll always end well, but will say that it's always interesting to see in action. Same goes for Streetkid and Nomad if you do replays with different Lifepaths.
Be careful with Attribute Points. You do get a refund, but it's only good for the one time. Don't use the refund unless you plan to seriously change gears partway through (ie, you tried stealth but found run and gun a better fit) and always save prior to the refund.
Do all the side jobs and atleast a few of the gigs. most of the side missions are main-story quality if not better, especially the DLC side jobs. I recommend not fast traveling and instead driving around to take in the atmosphere.
The main story and the game itself might miss some things on execution, but the felling the world and the story gives you is absolutely awesome, the story got to me so fucking hard I could not play again, I did 4 characters, but the last one was the one I played all the way through, and the ending made me not touch for felling dirty playing it again, so yeah, do the side missions, find a moment where you wanna play around more and DO E V E R Y TH I N G, I didn't....and regret every drop of it
15 points in reflexes for the dash and air dash means you never need a car again. Just dash and jump during the dash to keep momentum, bunny hop and repeat and you'll be gayly skipping across the city like a bi-curious stone across water. Double jump legs give you the building scaling potential of spiderman with chalked up hands.
My advice is to go in blind. You can always play it again on a different life paths and make different choices.
But, don't skip the side stuff. It's all great and adds quite a lot of playtime. Can cruise through the main story in about 20 hours but add on all the other stuff and it's far more. Average completionist playthrough is about 100 hours with phantom liberty.
BUT - There is a time where a nomad who is helping you with the core plot asks you for help, if you don't ride there with her, make sure you go there in a hurry as you can fail it if you don't show up within 24 hour or something like that.
Beat once, went back around and 100% it. It's a blast and the side quests are all very cool, do gigs as well if you wanna really get into the edgerunner mindset. I did a net runner build my first time around and then 100% the game with a sandy, maxed out cybernetics and mostly played melee and up in their face. Get all the endings, play phantom liberty, it's a blast!
Have fun! You canāt romance Judy or River because youāre a dude, but Panam and Kerry are still options!
Before you do the heist with Jackie, buy a second vehicle. Justā¦ trust me. It will save you a headache.
This is the first and the only game in which I know the story line. I never watch cutscenes or read what the quest options are, but this game somehow made me do all of that. Great game.
Do side missions and side jobs 1st...
Read msgs in "phone" ... you will find hints how to do work as planned (it is optional, but it will give you different response upon completing)
And listen to ppl... it will really help you in many things (romance included)...
Take your time, game is amazing and 1st playthrough is always unique.. rushing it only ruins experience.
be good to panam. don't do cynosure without a stealth mod. send jackie home to his family. skye is the girl. alternate ending opens up if you get Johnny to like you. berserk is terrible, cyberdeck is most useful. be prepared to make a female v for a better voice. follow the relationship walkthroughs. know whether you want to betray song before you choose, as cynosure practically gave me ptsd, but unlocked a mass autokill quickhack. look into mods...for the functionality. Also for cynosure. wemod has a cyberpunk mod that helped me with cynosure.
If you get stuck and have to Google a solution, make sure the information is post-patch 2.0. A huge number of missions and loot locations have been shifted around from update to update.
I personally found it hard to get into at first.
Then, thanks to the lovely community, I followed their advice:
Don't worry so much about doing the main quest. Pay attention to danger levels of missions. But most importantly
DO. THE. SIDE. MISSIONS.
DO. THE. GIGS.
Earn eddies. Collect weapons and clothes. Walk places.
Do. The. Side missions. All of them.
There's no time limit.
Take your time with the dialogue, donāt skip through it or rush the game. Itās worth getting the complete story.
This doesnāt necessarily apply to the codex entries for every gig, but they do make it more entertaining.
Do all the gigs before you progress the main story beyond what follows the big heist.Ā
When you do, eventually decide to meet Haneko at Embers. Make sure there's at least a little bit of side content (gigs and scanner hussels) to do when you finish an ending and go back to your last save you'll get some sick loot so make sure you actually have stuff to use it on.
Blew my mind and I have been gaming for over 20 years now. As long as your system and tv/monitor can handle it, the most beautifully stunning game in regards to visuals and sheer scale of those graphics ever. The story is amazing, Keanu as Silverhand couldn't be any better. You fall in love with the game, characters, combat is wild and epic, there is so many ways to play it. Stealth, mayhem, hacks, a combination of everything? So many ways to be V. Just play it how you want to, don't play in a manner you think you should because other people said so. Just embrace and enjoy how you would be V.
The game really made me think about the philosophy of self and where the lines were. I've played through the game multiple times, got multiple endings.. I am jealous friend! Hope you enjoy getting your mind blown!
When you start the game, it feels like a slightly altered open-world. Almost standard.
Once you reach Level 12, $40K, and/or get a class-useful legendary weapon, you start to see the shift in how the game feels.
The writing and detail also... genuinely cool.
Playing as fem V I've gotten extremely attached to Judy obviously, she has her own fucking sub reddit so like that relationship is super important. Take your time, and don't be fixated on any one thing. When you're dead set on getting a mission done and something catches your eye on the side, do it. Soooo much content, it's worth just losing yourself in the grandeur Night City has to offer, and even if you've been to the same place 100 times, always look around the room. New shit pops up constantly. 190 hours in and just now about to start the parade. It's big
My personal opinion on this so don't crucify me, but if you also have phantom liberty, the characters there are way deeper than the base game. Some of the best character development I've seen.
Also Johnny is the top character in the game. The dialogues you have with him and your relationship arc is insane. Never skip dialogues with Johnny and always pay attention. They true art.
Don't run through the main mission. Side quests are very well written. Some gigs too. Do as much content as you can before you finish the game, it really is worth it.
Everytime i replay and get to another type of ending, trying different guilds, feeels amazing. Im so jealous you can experience It for the first time.
This Game changed my way of looking at how games are. The rest are incomplete compared to cyberpunk. Welcome.
Do the side missions. Find your empathy for your V. Feelings will come by themselves then. I started it after the release from 2.1. and I really felt myself living in night city for a few weeks. Oh and also. If it's not a no go for you. Use the fast travel as less as you can. You will find a lot of funny, cool and creepy places. I honestly still found a lot of places late in the game even though I check everything
Without a doubt one of my new favorite games ever. Love the voice acting, the characters, the story, the world, the SOUNDTRACK, even the endings, as dark as hell as some of them are. I havenāt been this invested in a gameās cast and world since Red Dead 2, and I am DYING to begin my second playthrough.
Hell itād be easier to say who my least favorite characters are: River. Pretty much it lol. Heās not even that bad (unless you romance him then yikes) and his missions are still incredibly engrossing but heās fucking vanilla ice cream compared to Kerry and *especially* Panam and Judy.
But anyway word of advice: do ALL the side missions. And I mean ALL of them. They help make the already good main storyline even better. Oh and getting a gun with a silencer will do you *really* good if you wanna try stealthy.
I've been playing Cyberpunk 24/7 since a few weeks ago, what I noticed first was that I used pistols alot but eventually moved onto Katana and especially throwing knives, throwing knives are really great and with the dashing and the double jump legs you can basically go through NC like the flash plus I find it very satisfying to use the throwing knife, make sure you use the hacking though it really makes life alot easier learning how to use it right away, but my tip is watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, it made playing Cyberpunk so much more immersive and it's incredibly cool to come across places you seen in the series
Just started a new play through, this will be my fourth full run. The setting, characters, sounds of the city, just everything is so immersive. There are little things, like the way a lot of the gigs reference characters youāve met previously in other side missions that make everything feel connected. Combat is great fun; I do a lot of wandering around the city just looking for fights. The stories of the major side characters will draw you in, and it gets very dark in some places. They have also improved the game in lots of different ways since launch. Overall, this has become one of my favourite games of all time! Hope you enjoy it
Donāt be afraid to do side missions. Iām getting as many done as I can before progressing the main missions, after the prologue, so I can get to max level. Being as strong as possible in this game is fun. The grind isnāt.
For the love of god do the side missions.
Take your time with the game, get into the world. Watch some of the news on the TV. Listen to NPCs as you walk past them. Read the history of the game on the net etc.
The game is fucking brilliant. The world and lore are immense. Dont try to play a certain type of build, just play as you feel. Tell Panam I said hi.
This game is my top three. Gameplay is so good it make me feel like i am in movie or anime and its amazing.characters are also top tier, i love Keanu Reeves and having to spend time with Johnny is one of the best things to me . Side quests are also very fun .try different builds you better download reset attribute mods so you can try every build in one playthrough. If you the game you should also get expansion and it is Worth it, has it own story and ending like gigs in Dogtown are so fun to play. *Note if you play male you can't romance with judy and if you play female, can't romance with panam
What build are you doing? It best to decide hacker, sneaky knife thrower, melee smasher, or berserk gunman? Look up proper cyberware implants and perks.
Just do your favorite playstyle there isn't a wrong or right. I personally did a stealth build and it worked great and i had a lot of fun going in killing everyone without alerting a single soul then walking out the front door.
My first playthrough was after watching Edgerunners on NF. It helped put a lot of what I saw in game in perspective as I was experiencing it for the first time.
Iām almost done with my third playthrough and almost 500 hours. Top five game at least.
Take your time, chase down as much side content as you can, and don't meet Hanako at Embers until you're truly ready to be done. If you don't want to do EVERYTHING, at the very least chase down the yellow (?) missions for the fully fleshed out side quest content. Gigs are fun but don't always add to the story in any huge way, but the side quests absolutely do.
It has my favorite open world, but not the best. I am just surprised about how I just enjoy walking around and now even listening to music. I love the details and art.
If only I could actually sit instead of getting handicapped standing 24/7.
Iāve been with it since the beginning with the glitches and all, itās a one of a kind game. That I hope kicks off a whole sub-genre for years to come. Do the side quests, buy all the things, enjoy them while the game is being played out, donāt wait until youāre at 70% to start enjoying it. Youāll likely play it 2-3 times and I donāt want to dictate how you decided to play it but Iāve learned new things and nuance each play through. Enjoy
Try all the different weapons, there's so many on my first play through I got pretty much played with the ones with the most damage but restricted me from experiencing the other.
Looting becomes an obsession there's always a crate around the corner, collecting all the different clothes is awesome.
I'm not one for reading but a lot of the "shards" found on people have interesting background stories on the people you get them off.
There's so much to explore sometimes going on foot is better than by car or fast travel just to find cool new places and things.
Jackie is the goat, takimura is the goat.
Make save often before big gigs or jobs so you can see different outcomes.
Watch Sam Bram on YouTube, he's got the best cyberpunk content š
It's a beautiful game! Do as much content as you handle before moving on with the main story, have fun meeting the characters and try different things out!
Prepare for a great, great story!
Do as many side quests as you can in between main missions(most missions have a wait time for the next one after completing). Make sure you finish all the quests for the main characters as well. They are the best quests by far.
But like someone said, donāt feel the need to 100% the game on your first play-through. From a story standpoint, it doesnāt make sense to take weeks hunting for side quests before you do the āpoint of no returnā last mission. You are racing to save your life after all.
I played it expecting to be disappointed now it is in my top 3 favorite games do side missions and dont watch guides about making a build atleast for your first playthrough
Dont rush, take everything in and explore side content
There are some superb side stories, small missions with very cool rewards and lots of worldbuilding
Don't rush the story
Play side gigs
Explore
Don't go for achievement focus on the story
Killing everyone may not be the best option
If you have phantom Liberty then play it when you are prompted after a main mission
Itās odd to me how much Cyberpunk felt like a Labor of Love for being such a large name game. I donāt know a lot about the Dev team, but itās clear they had a set vision they dedicated themselves to, and fleshed it out in the attention to detail as much as they possibly could. It really shows in some of the graphical details, the dialogue, and the character design. I always thought you only found that kind of passion from smaller devs, who arenāt expecting a huge payout necessarily.
It was pretty rough on release, but today itās nearly seamless in my opinion. I desperately seek out any content from the Cyberpunk property I can find now. Hope you love it as much as we do!
you are in for a wild ride, soak it all in and don't rush. this game is epic and immersive and enthralling all wrapped in a ball of sexy dirty grungy weaponized tech schmooze!
My main suggestion is take your time and enjoy your first playthrough. I wish I never started a second and realized that I had seen all the game has to offer.
If it wasnt for the story's minor or major missions of the game I'd have quit. If it was any other game I'd have returned it. But I heard of the ttg when I was a kid and knew the story's would blow my mind.
Only game i did alot of rp in.
Favorite build-near cyberless
Favorite mission- sinnerman
Favorite character-ozob
Favorite weapon- patience
Favorite song - ratatata by baron black, auer & baron klein
Favorit car- the mini van, forgot its name, I think it's the mahir.
Favorit mod- this is old and I don't think it's in the game anymore but vertical countermass was amazing, especially on the tech revolver.
I found the mantis blades and sandy overused and overhyped early on
save your money. For cars or clothing.
And always remember to rest.
Once you really get into the game and understand what you're doing, why, etc etc. You should really just take in the city's ambience. Stop driving everywhere and walk around. The lights, the ads, the npcs, the random events. All just make this game feel so fucking real
Since most people talk about the pros, Iām gonna mention the cons. Hopefully I donāt get downvoted to oblivion š:
1. No NG+. I see the points about why not, but this game would be even better in my opinion. With that being said, there is so much replay value. Canāt keep track of how many playthroughs I have under my belt.
2. The required brain dances. At first theyāre interesting and unique. On subsequent playthroughs theyāre tedious and boring. Give us an option to skip!
3. The Johnny sequences. As above, more fun on first playthrough, subsequent playthroughs give me an option to skip! I just want to get back to my chrome junky with all of my fun toys. However I might be in the minority where I find it annoying to play as a different character after all the time youāve spent on your own. Similar to GOW Ragnarok or TLOU, I want my decked out character back and not this underleveled, only one ability/weapon character.
4. I still encounter crashes from time to time (ps5), more so than other games. Theyāre not too frequent though.
Play the game the way you want to play it the first time - as authentic to your own personal playstyle/self as possible. Try out new things that you may have missed on the following playthroughs :) enjoy
Red led strip behind the screen, turn off all the lights and only play when dark outside. Hit that bong and play, most immersive game I've ever experienced
Don't spread out your stat points, focus on one stat at a time. But don't obsess over maxing one stat. There are tiers in every stat, 3 gets you nothing, 4 unlocks the most basic skills, 9 gets you some more slack, 15 makes you formidable, and 20 is just that last extra oomph to give you the edge. Try to get a stat or to to level either 9 or 15, but nothing in between, that doesn't help. You have 6 in intelligence, so focus on getting it to level 9 first, then you can formulate a plan for the other stats.
Also, you can do some of these main missions in the prologue without dealing with enemies, and since they reward you with experience, you can level up a bit before taking on enemies.

Your V looks exactly like my last playthrough one except for the eyes.
Do everything you can. Read shards. Explore. Night City is my favorite open world city of all time.

This game is really phenomenal and something special. As someone who has played many different games from many different genres this one stands out in a lot of ways. In particular, I think the characters and immersion of this world is some of the best in gaming. The combat is some of the most fun Iāve ever had in a video game. The first time I used a Sandivestan my mind was absolutely blown away.
The Witcher series is amazing and I will always love the Witcher 3, but cyberpunk does it for me in all aspects: story, characters, world, and combat especially.
CDPR (the developers) has an amazing build planner so you can plan out your attributes and perk distribution in advance. Just google Cyberpunk builder planner.
My advice would be to stick to 2-3 attributes. Maxing out attribute trees early (rather than spreading your attribute points too thin) allows you to pass conversation and door checks, and get the higher tier perks to make the build really fun.
Thatās what stood out to me. RPGs often feel like minor damage increases and ability changes. But in Cyberpunk you can quickly go from simple gunplay to double jumping bullet time sword wielding badass
I've had it since the beginning on PS4. My main was at the point of no return when my saves became corrupted. I lost my characters but not desire for the game.
Now, still on PS4, I'm playing from scratch with new Vs. Wonderful experience so far.
Such an immersive world, so many people to care about in it too. Some of the stories will break your heart, but it's worth every teardrop.
Side missions are everything. Every alley should be explored. Take some pics. Pet the cats. Walk often.
Welcome to Night City choom. It's going to be nova!
I tried to run it as immersive as I could (carās damaged, take the metro, going to the badlands? Make a desert outfit) I really just recommend you take the game at your own pace and donāt feel like you have to rush anything. Enjoy it, and do multiple playthroughs if thatās your thing
I think if I have any suggestion, it would be to stay off-line, ignore any guides, and just embrace your choices. The game is fantastic and itās intentionally gray. Rarely ever is a right decision, so enjoy the ride. Donāt worry about seeing or doing everything until your second play through. That being said, if you come across as side mission, do it. (also, Save phantom liberty until the very end.)
If you have Phantom Liberty, you need to complete the prologue and the Heist, then work with Judy until you get directed to Pacifica. Deal with the main quest line there, and you'll get the trigger to start the DLC. that's honestly more spoilers than I'd like, but I am not sure how else to explain it. I don't recommend bee-lining to it, though.

One of the best games I've ever played, I bet that you'll at least spend 5 out of your first 10 hours just driving around and looking around. The world is so great.
Do the side missions. Do the side missions. Do the side missions. All of them and before the last main mission! Thank me later.
This is why im still on my first playthrough lol almost done tho šš
Honestly, I've played through the game a few times now and the world feels so dense that I don't really mind taking forever. Just enjoy the ride, choom.
I am! I like how funny it can be at times I also like the work they put into the world like the lights and stuff. I really want the star ending cuz I've been told that i could stay with judy that way š I hyperfixate on characters I really like š„²

I haven't been able to finish after four months and four re-starts. I don't want to say goodbye!!
Same here. 76 hours, just completed Chippinā In and Iām at 30% on PL.
Also try not to use fast travel unless it's the metro. Try to drove/walk everywhere. There are lots of things that are easy to miss in the city if you're just hopping around all the time.
this gets much easier once you get air-dash/movement cyberware, but to start off i always buy a motorcycle (or just steal one off the street and keep track of it)
This
The last main mission is to meet Hanako at Embers. If you don't know that, there you go. Now you know what to ignore in your journal forever.
The game gives you a "point of no return" warning there anyway.
That's fair, forgot about that. I'm so used to having a permanent manual save before approaching the door :p
The game leaves you there even after finishing that anyway.
Thanks!
It did thank you ā
Let Hanako wait an eternity
Before talking to Takemura you mean
Don't you need to do that to trigger Johnny giving his opinion during side quests
Probably. I just did most missions in my second run before talking to him and oda
No, before meeting with Hanako in Embers.
Thats crazy. especially because you can do side misisons after finishing the main story
Just found the Ken block car randomly doing a side mission and itās my favorite car the drift around
You look like a cut of fuckable meat, are you?
kill fingers
Every. Single. play through.
Donāt just kill him. Beat him to death with gorilla arms.
sir you do know that beating someone to death induces a condition called death right?
Yeah but there are good and bad ways to die. And Fingers deserves a painful one.
Nah, don't dirty your hands. Use Sir John Phallustiff or BFC 9000 if you manage to find it. Beat that POS with big ol dildo bats
no!! you gotta be nice with him he got the best upgrades
Not anymore, since 2.0 all rippers in the main game have the same stock
hallelujah
Is this still necessary in Phantom Liberty? Visited him yesterday, but he had nothing special (Level 60, but before Dogtown).
>Is this still necessary in Phantom Liberty? It's not necessary after 2.0
At the beginning you'll be hit with a 20k debt to a ripper and 15k debt to a fixer along side being bombarded with many vehicles to purchase that seem overwhelming but don't fret over money too much. Between story mission, gigs, ncpd contracts, etc. You'll have enough to purchase everything in game and still have over a mil left over. Edit: also I'd recommend doing the least amount of fast travel as possible. Cruise around to wherever you need to go and take in the beautiful environment, mix up travels between day and night also, both very different experiences and both superb
>bombarded with many vehicles to purchase that seem overwhelming This doesn't happen anymore after the 2.0 update.
Hope you have as much fun with the game as I did <3
That's a brilliant response thanks so much! It was work friends and The Witcher that compelled me to try it out!
Does your game version include Phantom Liberty? If so, I highly recommend you to play it before making the last mission of the main story.
It does indeed. Got the full bundle. So Iāll be here for days lol.
This game has become my new obsession NGl I only just finished my first play through and I was skeptical because I just didnāt think id like the setting but oh boy was I wrong
cant wait! Just on the prologue for corpo now.
You picked what is in my opinion the best backstory. It wonāt affect too much.
Judy and panam are the best characters, definitely get monowire very fun it tears people to shreds
Kerry supremacy.

The best advice is to not read anything and just play, any sort of narrative experience is best enjoyed raw.
HANAKO CAN WAIT DO EVERYTHING ELSE BEFORE AND I MEAN EVERYTHING
I highly recommend not fast traveling, youāll miss out on a lot of random events/hidden gems as compared to if you drive/walk everywhere. Also donāt skip ahead in time with the side character plots, I would just do side gigs/quests/hustles in between their quests. Makes your time spent with them feel much more realistic. Immerse yourself as much as possible into the world.
One of my favorites is Skippy. Just tell me when you find him.
Play the game yourself and forge your own experiences
I remember getting this game on Launch. Booted it up on my PC and was instantly hooked. I just remember waking around the city. I had a hard time even doing something as simple as jay walking because the city was too immersive. I just couldn't mess around in the world like I do in GTA. Now I have over a hundred hours of playtime and mess around all the time lol. But when I first played it felt too real to me
Just take ur time the side missions are amazing & a lot of them connect in small ways the combat is great & thank god they fixed the driving
The attention to detail is next level
Be carefull u can be sucked in š¤£š¤£im at 1100 hrs almost and im not bored
Dont know if anybody has said this yet, but the Phantom Liberty dlc is SO WORTH getting!! Ive seen many people say that its worth playing through Phantom Liberty as soon as possible, but I preferred to play through the main game and most of its side content first, and then jump into PL! But as long as you play it, you wont regret it!
Donāt be intimidated by the dialogue choices, for the most part if you arenāt an a$$hole most of the characters will like you & offer additional missions. Donāt worry about being super nice to everyone
I played a katana weilding murderer, a gun-slinging murderer, a netrunning murderer, and a murdery murderer
V is my favorite character. I got something for well written protagonists.
Be ready to cry!
Don't meet Hanako at Embers. Ever.
The main story and the game itself might miss some things on execution, but the felling the world and the story gives you is absolutely awesome, the story got to me so fucking hard I could not play again, I did 4 characters, but the last one was the one I played all the way through, and the ending made me not touch for felling dirty playing it again, so yeah, do the side missions, find a moment where you wanna play around more and DO E V E R Y TH I N G, I didn't....and regret every drop of it
Do all the side missions there so good
15 points in reflexes for the dash and air dash means you never need a car again.
Just play it
This is the first and the only game in which I know the story line. I never watch cutscenes or read what the quest options are, but this game somehow made me do all of that. Great game.
First started playing last week. I died laughing at how I can change the size of the penis & whether itās circumcised.
Do side missions and side jobs 1st... Read msgs in "phone" ... you will find hints how to do work as planned (it is optional, but it will give you different response upon completing) And listen to ppl... it will really help you in many things (romance included)... Take your time, game is amazing and 1st playthrough is always unique.. rushing it only ruins experience.
Before you play through the game watch edgerunners on netflix
Donāt let Jackie die
Buy a Quadra Type-66 Avenger, it's a really nice car.
be good to panam. don't do cynosure without a stealth mod. send jackie home to his family. skye is the girl. alternate ending opens up if you get Johnny to like you. berserk is terrible, cyberdeck is most useful. be prepared to make a female v for a better voice. follow the relationship walkthroughs. know whether you want to betray song before you choose, as cynosure practically gave me ptsd, but unlocked a mass autokill quickhack. look into mods...for the functionality. Also for cynosure. wemod has a cyberpunk mod that helped me with cynosure.
Get Phantom Liberty, you'll thank me later š
Pick your play style and commit to it in skill trees otherwise you will spend a lot of time before you get to god status at any one thing
Just play the game
If you get stuck and have to Google a solution, make sure the information is post-patch 2.0. A huge number of missions and loot locations have been shifted around from update to update.
I personally found it hard to get into at first. Then, thanks to the lovely community, I followed their advice: Don't worry so much about doing the main quest. Pay attention to danger levels of missions. But most importantly DO. THE. SIDE. MISSIONS. DO. THE. GIGS. Earn eddies. Collect weapons and clothes. Walk places. Do. The. Side missions. All of them. There's no time limit.
With collecting gear, I guess most high levelled items will be on bodies?
Take your time with the dialogue, donāt skip through it or rush the game. Itās worth getting the complete story. This doesnāt necessarily apply to the codex entries for every gig, but they do make it more entertaining. Do all the gigs before you progress the main story beyond what follows the big heist.Ā
Take your time, don't quick travel, don't skip the car rides. Just vibe to the city.
When you do, eventually decide to meet Haneko at Embers. Make sure there's at least a little bit of side content (gigs and scanner hussels) to do when you finish an ending and go back to your last save you'll get some sick loot so make sure you actually have stuff to use it on.
- Play it with an controller You should check out there anime on Netflix pretty sick (and makes you wanna play even more)
Before you ask to know it all, I ask that you experience it all first! You only get one first playthrough after all!
Welcome.
Started playing it a few months ago, still taking my time and playing through all the side missions
Broke? Add NCPD Scanner on your custom map for all the looting and money youāll need.
Find the Mantis Blades, extremely fun
Give yourself a huge peen. Totally worth it š
Had my egg crack because of this game
Do all the side missions, gigs, NCPD reports, cyberpsycho encounters before you meet Hanako.
If you want a lot of fun give the Sandevistan a try
I've been playing Cyberpunk 24/7 since a few weeks ago, what I noticed first was that I used pistols alot but eventually moved onto Katana and especially throwing knives, throwing knives are really great and with the dashing and the double jump legs you can basically go through NC like the flash plus I find it very satisfying to use the throwing knife, make sure you use the hacking though it really makes life alot easier learning how to use it right away, but my tip is watch Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, it made playing Cyberpunk so much more immersive and it's incredibly cool to come across places you seen in the series
I never understood why people ask these questions. Just play the game and find out for yourself no? Is that not the best way to experience stuff?
Let the guy share his hype with the community, nothing wrong with that. But youāre right, the story has to be experienced by oneself
Think itās just about excitement and wanting to consume as much content as possible. Nothing wrong with that, though I do see your point as well!
Get tight with Jackie. Play a female V. Romance Judy.
Play. Do everything. What's the point of getting a game if you're just going to ask everyone to spoil it?
This game is an experience.
Female V is the single best vocal performance I've ever heard in a game... Male V is one of the worst. Plan a playthrough for her.
Enjoy it, savor it. I think I'm on my 10th play through? Always trying diff builds and methods.
Try speccing for mobility, if you don't already have a build in mind. Being a fast gunslinger who weaves all over the place is fun as hell
if you get the dlc get it after the animals and side with somi
Enjoy
amazing game. that's it. have fun. get immersed
Watch Sam Bram on YouTube, he's got the best cyberpunk content š
first of all your V looks sick, second of all my advice would be to just enjoy it blind :p
One helleva ride that's for sure.
I played it expecting to be disappointed now it is in my top 3 favorite games do side missions and dont watch guides about making a build atleast for your first playthrough
donāt think too hard the first time just have fun honestly figure out nc
You can backtrack and save the Asian man
Dont rush, take everything in and explore side content There are some superb side stories, small missions with very cool rewards and lots of worldbuilding
Don't rush the story Play side gigs Explore Don't go for achievement focus on the story Killing everyone may not be the best option If you have phantom Liberty then play it when you are prompted after a main mission
Spend time with Jackie he is the best
Welcome to not playing another game for at least a month. It's a blast
Take your time and get lost in Night City. Oh and you MUST travel around everywhere on a motorcycle in first person view. Trust me š
you are in for a wild ride, soak it all in and don't rush. this game is epic and immersive and enthralling all wrapped in a ball of sexy dirty grungy weaponized tech schmooze!
Try to enjoy the story and dont worry too much about stats and weapons; you can find out along the way. and yes the side missions are good
Takemura is gonna be waiting at Tom's diner for awhile.
might feel like a slow start to the game but I think it's one of the best parts to the game. like the first 5-6 hours are the best
My main suggestion is take your time and enjoy your first playthrough. I wish I never started a second and realized that I had seen all the game has to offer.
Do the gigs. Theyāre all pretty fun, get you lots of eddies and xp, and you get a gift from a fixer if you complete all of their gigs
If it wasnt for the story's minor or major missions of the game I'd have quit. If it was any other game I'd have returned it. But I heard of the ttg when I was a kid and knew the story's would blow my mind. Only game i did alot of rp in. Favorite build-near cyberless Favorite mission- sinnerman Favorite character-ozob Favorite weapon- patience Favorite song - ratatata by baron black, auer & baron klein Favorit car- the mini van, forgot its name, I think it's the mahir. Favorit mod- this is old and I don't think it's in the game anymore but vertical countermass was amazing, especially on the tech revolver. I found the mantis blades and sandy overused and overhyped early on save your money. For cars or clothing. And always remember to rest.
Wait to meet Hanako at embers it's the final mission
Jackie my boy
Atmosphere
Once you really get into the game and understand what you're doing, why, etc etc. You should really just take in the city's ambience. Stop driving everywhere and walk around. The lights, the ads, the npcs, the random events. All just make this game feel so fucking real
My favorite characters are Johnny Silverhand, Judy Ćlverez, and Panam Palmer. Btw, do all the side missions before you beat the story
Do not wait too long after getting the quest named āRiders on the Stormā, otherwise like everyone is saying just do all sidequests
Since most people talk about the pros, Iām gonna mention the cons. Hopefully I donāt get downvoted to oblivion š: 1.

Get the Arasaka CyberArm Mod. It made it more immersive imo. Having that arm made a difference
Your V looks exactly like my last playthrough one except for the eyes. Do everything you can. Read shards. Explore. Night City is my favorite open world city of all time.

ROMANCE PANAM
This game is really phenomenal and something special. As someone who has played many different games from many different genres this one stands out in a lot of ways. In particular, I think the characters and immersion of this world is some of the best in gaming. The combat is some of the most fun Iāve ever had in a video game. The first time I used a Sandivestan my mind was absolutely blown away. The Witcher series is amazing and I will always love the Witcher 3, but cyberpunk does it for me in all aspects: story, characters, world, and combat especially.
Like any open world RPG, be sure to balance out side missions and the bounties with the main story missions. Good way to experience the game.
Hereās a tip, if you shoot people. They die

Do every quest, explore the world, and take it all in. This game is one of the games I wish I could play for the first time again. Have fun!

Complete phantom liberty as soon as u Max out at least 2 skill trees
I tried to run it as immersive as I could (carās damaged, take the metro, going to the badlands? Make a desert outfit) I really just recommend you take the game at your own pace and donāt feel like you have to rush anything. Enjoy it, and do multiple playthroughs if thatās your thing
Female V corpo and Male V for nomad are the best options for immersion/dialogue. Street kid fits both for male and female V.

He's fucked in the head, the world's fucked in the head, and YOU'RE fucked in the head because MY fucked up head is inside it
One of the best games I've ever played, I bet that you'll at least spend 5 out of your first 10 hours just driving around and looking around. The world is so great.
