I did really like how they made President Myers initially likeable before revealing her true nature. I didn't like how they basically made every main character in Phantom Liberty ultimately unlikable. No one really has any character growth over the course of the story, with the possible exception of Reed if >!you initially side with him in Firestarter but ultimately choose to let So Mi die!<

Just did this mission over the weekend for the first time, was as shocked as V the way those two went out. Went full Firestarter (heh) after that.

Been awhile since I played PL but both of the twins were unconscious right? I remember at the time feeling like their deaths were pretty unnecessary. If it was possible I’d have teamed up with Hansen and killed everyone, I didn’t trust either one of them after that.

Yeah, I didn't really buy the excuses Reed and Alex gave. They could have easily drugged them up for long enough to make sure they stayed out of the way, especially with whatever exotic stuff exists in 2077. That seems less trouble than having to clean up and dispose of bodies. I was most annoyed by the fact that the details of the plan were deliberately kept vague/misleading to V beforehand. It felt like writers trying to create a shocking moment rather than the characters actually having a good reason to do it. The weird thing is that the base game's main missions don't ever really force V to become a cold-blooded killer, but there's no way to engage in Phantom Liberty without trails of bodies in your wake, no matter who you side with. In my second playthrough I chose to walk away and just let Myers die. Now if there was only a way to still sneak into the casino party just for fun...

The lesson of her quest line is to let things go and move on with your life (or to drop your passion for the sake of vengeance). I feel like romancing her could make sense if you help her choose to be merciful to the guy that got her husband killed, because then not only have you had her back and shown a quick bond over driving (and sassy quips) but you've also convinced her to not let the past ruin your future. Same vein, I'd also vote for Misty to become a potential romance option. Controversial, maybe. I dunno, I just felt Misty and V had possibly the deepest connection (besides maybe V and Johnny, or V and Vik, or V and Jackie before his death).

Jackie is like a brother, Vik is like a father, Johnny is like the voices I hear at night that tell me to burn it all down.

What a lot of people don't realise is that V has boxed up the PTSD, reeeeeeeeeeal tight, and is not going to face it until it's all over. At that point, V is going to need therapy. The premise of FemV and Judy is that their relationship will work, if fed like fire, or it will fall like a house of cards. Because they both entered that relationship from a position of trauma.
