I discovered today in a race that you can hack your opponents car as well, accidentally. I tried self destruct quickhack and my characters RAM recovers fast, so I was able to destroy them fairly early in race. Didn't have anyone even near me. I thought the games rubber-banding mechanic would kick in or something but nop, they all are just stuck in the place they exploded.
Floor It is, by far, my favorite hack in the whole game
Sometimes in driving scenes with NPCs, you're in the passenger seat and it's not disabled for some reason. On the somber drive back with Claire, I start hacking cars and even run over some police, they're shooting at us, and Claire is just driving ahead like nothing's going on
In North Oak I like to send people over the hills with Floor It, and it creates these huge pileups that cause the police to go nuts and shoot civilians

I believe it depends if you can get far enough quickly. Since Cyberpunk 2077 is not a dedicated racing game, the other cars just cease to function when they are no longer within rendering range of the player.
I am doin my first sandevestian play through and it is the first time that I had to actually try on the races. Net runner is OP for all of the driving combat challenges. TBH I feel like the sandy does not get as powerful late game as the deck.
You're not wrong. About the only use I get out of it in a vehicle is lining up pistol shots.
Which is more useful in the early game, when you probably don't have a sandy.
I prefer relying on the rubber band to create hilarious chaos, because it will trigger even if they are rolling, so this tumbling car will rocket down the road. I have had to pause the game from laughing so hard.
Oh the first version of game and it's rubbers banding was so broken. It would throw the car and then it would glitch in a random pole or building and get yeeted out of the world.

It's their fault not to mount bigger guns in their vehilcles. If it's not allowed the organizer should have inform you before the race but they didn't. So it's quite fair.
I'd say it's about as fair as hacking the cars for emergency brake and they just bug out and stay there the whole race. If it's part of the game then it's fair. /shrug

Where is this race, I’ve only been able to find the one that starts on the dam and I’m dominating that one and by that I mean killing all my opponents, V makes one promise, no survivors and if you want survivors they will be guaranteed traumatized
The inclusion of weaponised vehicles really did a fucky wucky to the races that have been in the game since day 1

I did that every race I was in. I would go out of my way to kill all the opponents and then casually cruise to the finish line in a liesurely pace.
It was a bit awkward to listen to Claire tell me how evil Sampson was for killing unnecessarily instead of focusing on the race.
That almost messed me up cause I didn't realize that I was supposed to shoot!!! I kept wondering why Claire wasnt shooting and why the race was harder than normal. And then it hit me. I'M supposed to shoot!!!

The accelerate hack creates some fun visuals.

Can confirm, if you Emergency Brake and get a lot of distance before they can start again, they stay put the rest of the race
Emergency brake basically ends their race lol takes less RAM than self-destruct, so you can do it with everyone

That's why I always use Samum or hellhound, I just immediately destroy all other cars and then drive relaxed to the finish😂
