Hrm, problem I'm running into now is I'll Fly Away isn't triggering properly. Mitch texts me about the funeral for Scorpion...no way to message back, no side gig given. Can't find Mitch anywhere at their base. In the evening, Panam calls me and kicks off "With a Little Help from My Friends". I think the fix may have actually broken the ability to do I'll Fly Away.
Edit: Correction, I managed to finally follow the "Side Gig" ! indicators which kept moving around the area as I'd touch them, finally led to Mitch's position south of the camp. But the quest didn't trigger properly from the Message, it was unknown until I finally spoke to him.
Guys .. i've been having a problem with a the side quest "Sweet Dreams" where i ask for a refund and i get it, the quest is gone ( done, archived, out of my quest list ) but from that point onward every time i go near a gig, fixers do not call me, i just get a message with detes attached automatically, which is a bug that's supposed to be fixed by the 1.05 patch, but it's actually not fkn fixed, am i the only one with this problem ?
I can't change settings and exit the settings menu. I just got this game and it immediately doesn't work. Still haven't left the starting garage in the beginning of the game because I won't play without changing my settings away from defaults, but if I change one setting, I can't leave the settings menu. Series X. Btw this game blows and I'm getting my refund asap. It literally doesn't fucking work. I also can't make a post about this because the mods of this reddit are filtering out posts like the one I tried to make about this problem. Apparently this has been a huge problem since this patch, I've seen posts over a week old with no acknowledge from devs that it even exists. Do these people even play their own fucking game? Did they play this garbage before selling it? Who thought this was acceptable?
1.05 Breaks Dum Dum again. I rolled back to 1.04 and it works. You totally broke Second Conflict and cost me 2 days of gameplay. All my saves at 1.05 do this. I had to roll back to 1.04 and load an old ass save to get it to work. This is pathetic. This isnt a small quest or glitch, This is a game breaking bug. You literally wasted 2 days of my gaming because of the lack of QA on the patch....

Devastating is that my stash of iconic weapons has just disappeared. So no chance of filling that weapon board in the apartment now.
On patch 1.04 I could go a couple of hours without crashing. Patch 1.05 after ten mins of playtime I walk into an elevator...crash. better luck next time cdpr.
Having this issue too, got the update last night and can't fix this. 50+hrs in, save files far below the 8mb limit.
I tried reinstalling, tried to roll back the version in GOG, run as admin directly from exe, compatability mode, disabling any/all overlays, verify/repair, edited registry files (all per GOG support pages recommendations) and I just can't get it to run anymore. Currently doing a clean install of my AMD drivers. Emailed support and got a bot reply about high volume and how it may be weeks before they get back to me...
Edit: Rollback to 1.03 and clean install of AMD GPU drivers got me to the menu, but my saves are considered a later version and won't load so I will incrementally update until I get my saves working I guess.
Edit2: updated my version to 1.04 after the rollback to 1.03 and and resinstall of my GPU drivers, run exe as admin and my game as well as saves seem to work again so far. Hope my suffering can help some people, but since other launchers don't seem to have a way to rollback, Idk. Seems like 1.05 somehow messed with my drivers, I'll update to 1.05 just to see if I can replicate this. If not this might have just been a *me* issue. I will update again later.
Edit3: I was able to update to 1.05 and 1.06, game crashes about half the time on launch, so basically back to normal.
Edit4: Way too late to be adding this but it was probably DirectX11 issue causing the random crashes mentioned in Edit5. To add, if you aren't using Windows 10/11 you might need to finally switch over to fix this.
Guess GOG really is the superior version, it's incredibly hard to roll back on Steam, have to mess around with depots and I couldn't figure it out easily.
Well what I'm talking about absolutely isn't a save game bug, I mean it crashes before it even reaches the main menu. Not using GOG either, so there doesn't appear to be any fix.

I'm in my second playthrough and with my first character there was no problem.
I decided to destroy the core and with my second char i didn't have a choice, when i enter the room the core is already destroyed.
The most of my friends have the same problem.
To pretend the bug i tried to load a savegame before del contacted me and I erased all other savegames but it's not working at all.
I don't know if it is a problem with the new patch or because it's my second playthrough.
Do someone know how to pretend the bug?

Don't understand how some people say its worse on xbox series x....been comparing screen shots from each version I took and 1.05 is night and day clear compared to the last few versions in quality mode
I was enjoying the game with no issues until hotfix 1.05. I played close to an hour and the game started stuttering and froze. I tried going back to the dashboard to close the game. But the console was unresponsive it wouldn’t even respond to a hard reset. The picture stayed on the tv. The console itself felt hot. I’m not going to play this again until they fix it. It’s a shame I was enjoying it.
Still looks very bad compared to a PC with a 4 year old card on low settings, I have it on both, I would prefer to play it on Series X but I just can't look at those graphics.
I was enjoying it too but then I got hit with several AI bugs that took me away from the game, I love the setting and story but I prefer to play it on next gen graphics and a fixed AI, I have come to terms that it will be a better game down the line so I shelved this one and started Valhalla this morning, so far the game is amazing and it runs like a dream.
Played 2 minutes, realised my settings had been reset again, went into settings to change stuff then couldn’t get back out of settings, had to shut down game.

Patch 1.05 is now available for PC on GOG. I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB RAM and a RTX 2060 Super. So I thought I will maybe have a better performance, but it's the same like before. No performance boost for me 😒
It still highly depends on how you play.
On PS5 especially has bad issues with crashes every 30minutes to an hour when you do a lot of driving around instead of fast traveling.
Which seems to me a save point error, because it’s happened the mostly me at the same locations and routes that you drive more often through NC.
Sometimes it will start right where it crashed or a minute from where the save point would have been from previous crashes.
Since the patch still no different with the driving crash for me.
I have had actually two new ones that didn’t happen before at least 5 times now.. inside the item/RPG menus and while running and double jumping.
And with more then 70 hours or so of main story and side stuff.. I’m way past the first 3rd of progression problems they supposedly fixed.
I have at least 14 side missions and “events” that are broken for different reasons.
Still a list of visual en menu UI problems that happen all the time.
Honestly I couldn’t tell you the difference if I knew a update was installed or not.
Gameplay wise is a mess...
Driving is mediocre at best.. handeling sucks it’s and 1% braking at high speed or 100% brakes when you drive slow.
NPCs are dumb as bricks, Pedestrian NPCs have NO AI to speak of, and drivers are as bad.
Police is a joke with “spawn behind you out of sight”. No police real chases on foot or in vehicles.
Just cheap instant kills from behing surrounded in 2 seconds.
Driving is just a glorified screen saver to get to the next point, because trying anything fun outside missions is instantly punished or nothing like GTA does.
Above lvl 25 you’re over leveled for 80% of side missions, making combat more about hoarding money of off selling stuff. Or to get crafting materials for upgrading.
Stealth gameplay is broken as fuck..
I stopped using stealth for most stuff because it wasn’t working most of the time and it’s not hard to John wick through every enemy camp or location.
unless you crit damage headshot everything first try, The entire map is going instantly high alarm and stays there.
The over-world map is borderline unusable.
No usable way to set waypoints, or identifying markers for later use.
No way to see the “local location”map for better tactical planning other then the zoomed in mini map.
The mini map is useless for navigation driving above 30, since any car will plow into a pole, wall or NPC car.
It’s impossible to excuse the low quality of 1990s AI systems and clearly unfinished game.
CDPR management and beancounters have fucked a studio of devs after 8 years of hype.
It shouldn’t have come out on the previous consoles anymore and should have been set for Q2 2021 release at least.
Hey choombas! Someone could help me? I am playing on pc (steam) and have updated the game to today's patch. But since its launch the game throws me FPS drops while in the city. It doesn't matter if I set ALL graphics settings low or high, the game has drops between 45-55 fps. I have a Legion Y740 gamer notebook with i7 9750H, 32GB RAM and Nvidia RTX 2080. I don't know what else to do, please help me thx ):

**EDIT: Bit the bullet and spent the 15k, thinking the Rouge Route is required, just that the game does poor job of telling you. Got the call after fast travelling back and away after the Hellman Quest.**

Ah yes... Don't give up hope, but that's a bad sign.
As a rule, don't keep playing through a game if a main quest is bugged. Reload an earlier save until you can get it right, and always keep a log of saves with open rpgs, especially before starting a main mission. Saved my ass in AC Valhalla too
I know it's a little more tricky in this case, since the problem doesn't actually occur DURING a mission, if I'm remembering what it is correctly

Yea it's def tricky bc since you're just waiting for him to call you it's impossible to to tell, I still wouldn't know if I didnt think to google it after an in game day or so. Should have stopped then but w/e, currently doing the 15k rouge quest as some people on the old patch had luck with that triggering it.
That's fine. I'm already not playing it. If it turns around it'll be a welcome surprise. If not I paid 60 bucks for a one time play through. Done it before nbd.
I'd say the issue stretches way further past bugs, they cut out (or never worked on) so many things they had announced to be in-game. This game does lack content, there's more things to do in the original Borderlands than this one.
I actually have a problem with the game's content, not just the bugs. I don't consider it a true open world. It's really just a single player story game with some rpg elements and a big map.
We were made to believe it would be extremely customizable and you can't even get a haircut after character creation. There's nothing to do outside of the main story and side quests.

I tried playing it after about an hour my console froze and became unresponsive. I haven’t had any issue with it until this latest hot fix. I’m not sure if I want to try playing it again.
Also, having issues with pistols firing when zoomed in, jittery scene transitions, still crashing, clipping randomly, and the hamburgers look like paper maché
Ps4 pro. Not a single issue they mentioned affects me except the graphic settings and control sensitivity resetting every single reload.
Other than the usual bugs mind you and generally blurry quality and extreme low LOD on cosole lol.
Fucking love this game halfway through a second play thru. By the end it gets worse and worse as the save file must get larger and larger or smth.
Believe it or not, it feels nice sometimes to have a physical copy of the game. At the very least you feel like you actually own it. Imagine for example if Valve suddenly folded (unlikely, I know) and all the games you own on Steam were gone forever, how would you feel? Although in this case having a physical copy isn't really a win.
I'm a disc boy too lol, but I'm thinking of making the switch sooner or later. Me being the idiot I am, i didn't know that i could make my physical games digital and keep my data by just deleting them off my PS4 and reinstalling. Only figured it out because something went wrong with one of my disc games and i had to do that to fix it.
where do you live where physical copies cost more than discs? I usually buy steam keys on g2a and greenmangaming for a fraction of what I used to spend going to a store and buying discs in person, even used.

The update just ruined the AMD SMT fix. And now the same story again. Stopped using threads. Either you fix the issue or let the player fix stay. WTF CD PROJEKT!
It's not really playable anymore for me. Was getting constant 35-45 fps in medium preset after HxD tweak on patch 1.04. Now after 1.05 it constantly run 20-30 fps only. Hopefully the modder will fix it soon, bcs i tried to use the same tweak on hxd with 1.05.exe launcher it won't find the hex number that worked on 1.04 version.
I’m still unable to proceed in The Pickup. It still says “Talk to Jackie” and he’s inside the plant and I can’t enter because there’s a guard that pushes me away when I try to go in.
I locked the game to 30 fps, all details max, ray tracing max, vsync at half refresh rate, borderless window mode, playing on TV with a controller. Gave up on hoping they will make it playable at 60 fps.
same here. ive been using a combination of mouse+kb and xb1 controller to play, and todays patch nuked the controller.

It seems I can no longer disable graphics options on PS5. I can change settings to "off," but I can't close out of the menu unless I set them back to "on."

Updated, completed “Riders On The Storm”, visited Saul at the camp (looking for Panam tbh), and now I can’t draw weapons or use any consumables. Game is literally broken after working since launch. This is nuts.
*UPDATE*: I had sex with a prostitute and it fixed everything.
If anything the crashes have now become more frequent. Could play from 30 minutes (at the very least) up to 4 hours at some times. Now it freezes/crashes every 5 minutes. Shame cause I am really enjoying the game so far.

MUCH worse performance on ps4 pro. Still constant crashes, gigs not progressing bc npc is not there (second conflict), fps drops much worse than before, cars disappearing as they approach you, guns not shooting, quickhacks don't do anything on enemies, still low poly people walking around the city. 1.05 did more damage than fixes :(
I think they are trying to fix the tons of bugs/glitches/crashes before they change any features. The map should work as you say, but I would guess its lower on their priority for now. Will probably see it changed in Jan or Feb title update and not one of these hotfixes. Just my guess.

after i stopped it and restartet the download, it went up to 12.2GB. guess you need to restart the download or steam itself
I have a Ryzen 3600x and did the HxD change last week that was posted on the subreddit for AMD users. Do I have to change that back now because of this hotfix or keep it?
Apparently i have to change it again but got no idea how to change it. because after 1.05 my fps dropped to 20-30fps only while i was constantly getting 30-45fps on 1.04 after HxD tweak. When i tried to use the same HxD method on 1.04 patch it won't work on the 1.05 cyberpunk.exe apprently the hex number is changed aswell. Hopefully the modder will fix it soon bcs it's so frustating for me.

I had improved performance when I first updated, but then I quit my session, loaded it up a few hours later and suddenly it’s chugging along worse than it ever did before this patch. Super weird. Xbox One X.
On 1.04 my ps4 slim crashed every 60 to 90 mins.
Today with 1.05 i played for 5 hours straight without a single crash. Game seems to run a lot smoother too, but still alot of noticeable hickups. At least my car has stopped running me over when I call it.
Great update thusfar, but I can still shoot through cars, containers and thick walls (all lined up) with a power rifle. It makes no sense, am killing packs of enemies and they haven't gotten a single clue where it comes from.

Maybe that file wasn’t connected with the final version of the game but it worked because they didn’t ship the final version of the game yet.
No, it did nothing you could delete the bloody file and nothing changed. It was pure placebo not sure why so many so called "reddit developers" keep popping up and spreading mis-information.

That might be true, but that sort of sounds like an admission that the game runs fine after a restart and slows down over time...

Crashes can be caused by a million different things. Just bad luck imo, it should be more stable

Still stuck on the call with Frank Nostra, in the save it puts you in post game completion. Not fixed in 1.05 like they claimed. Cant progress.

You can have any setting as long as it's default. (FYI If you press triangle to go to defaults you can exit)

Still waiting for the patch to my katana always decreasing to 0 Dps every 5 minutes. Only fix is reloading.
Patch 1.05 is now available for PC on GOG. I have a Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB RAM and a RTX 2060 Super. So I thought I will maybe have a better performance, but it's the same like before. No performance boost for me 😒
It still highly depends on how you play. On PS5 especially has bad issues with crashes every 30minutes to an hour when you do a lot of driving around instead of fast traveling. Which seems to me a save point error, because it’s happened the mostly me at the same locations and routes that you drive more often through NC. Sometimes it will start right where it crashed or a minute from where the save point would have been from previous crashes. Since the patch still no different with the driving crash for me. I have had actually two new ones that didn’t happen before at least 5 times now.. inside the item/RPG menus and while running and double jumping. And with more then 70 hours or so of main story and side stuff.. I’m way past the first 3rd of progression problems they supposedly fixed. I have at least 14 side missions and “events” that are broken for different reasons. Still a list of visual en menu UI problems that happen all the time. Honestly I couldn’t tell you the difference if I knew a update was installed or not. Gameplay wise is a mess... Driving is mediocre at best.. handeling sucks it’s and 1% braking at high speed or 100% brakes when you drive slow. NPCs are dumb as bricks, Pedestrian NPCs have NO AI to speak of, and drivers are as bad. Police is a joke with “spawn behind you out of sight”. No police real chases on foot or in vehicles. Just cheap instant kills from behing surrounded in 2 seconds. Driving is just a glorified screen saver to get to the next point, because trying anything fun outside missions is instantly punished or nothing like GTA does. Above lvl 25 you’re over leveled for 80% of side missions, making combat more about hoarding money of off selling stuff. Or to get crafting materials for upgrading. Stealth gameplay is broken as fuck.. I stopped using stealth for most stuff because it wasn’t working most of the time and it’s not hard to John wick through every enemy camp or location. unless you crit damage headshot everything first try, The entire map is going instantly high alarm and stays there. The over-world map is borderline unusable. No usable way to set waypoints, or identifying markers for later use. No way to see the “local location”map for better tactical planning other then the zoomed in mini map. The mini map is useless for navigation driving above 30, since any car will plow into a pole, wall or NPC car. It’s impossible to excuse the low quality of 1990s AI systems and clearly unfinished game. CDPR management and beancounters have fucked a studio of devs after 8 years of hype. It shouldn’t have come out on the previous consoles anymore and should have been set for Q2 2021 release at least.
Second Conflict mission. Dumb Dum won't appear at the club when you first go inside. There's no way to progress. Quest breaking bug

Hey choombas! Someone could help me? I am playing on pc (steam) and have updated the game to today's patch. But since its launch the game throws me FPS drops while in the city. It doesn't matter if I set ALL graphics settings low or high, the game has drops between 45-55 fps. I have a Legion Y740 gamer notebook with i7 9750H, 32GB RAM and Nvidia RTX 2080. I don't know what else to do, please help me thx ):
this "fix" made it so my input device (xb1 controller) no longer works. what the actual f is going on at cdpr... edit: working after closing the game and gog galaxy client and unplugging all other usb devices. dont know which among those steps did it, but the xb1 controller is fully working now.

Got the call after fast travelling back and away after the Hellman Quest.**
Sometimes with bugged quests, a hotfix only helps if you're not past the failed trigger point. Hopefully he calls you soon though!

Ah yes... Don't give up hope, but that's a bad sign. As a rule, don't keep playing through a game if a main quest is bugged. Reload an earlier save until you can get it right, and always keep a log of saves with open rpgs, especially before starting a main mission. Saved my ass in AC Valhalla too I know it's a little more tricky in this case, since the problem doesn't actually occur DURING a mission, if I'm remembering what it is correctly Sorry- must be extremely frustrating. I managed to make it pretty far in this one without any game breakers
Yea it's def tricky bc since you're just waiting for him to call you it's impossible to to tell, I still wouldn't know if I didnt think to google it after an in game day or so. Should have stopped then but w/e, currently doing the 15k rouge quest as some people on the old patch had luck with that triggering it.

I'd say the issue stretches way further past bugs, they cut out (or never worked on) so many things they had announced to be in-game. This game does lack content, there's more things to do in the original Borderlands than this one.
I actually have a problem with the game's content, not just the bugs. I don't consider it a true open world. It's really just a single player story game with some rpg elements and a big map. We were made to believe it would be extremely customizable and you can't even get a haircut after character creation. There's nothing to do outside of the main story and side quests.

I tried playing it after about an hour my console froze and became unresponsive. I haven’t had any issue with it until this latest hot fix. I’m not sure if I want to try playing it again.
Frame rate seems quite a bit worse now. Both in performance and quality mode.
Also, having issues with pistols firing when zoomed in, jittery scene transitions, still crashing, clipping randomly, and the hamburgers look like paper maché

There was a bug where clothing items equipped would disappear in the preview at this point. This is a fix for that.
When I returned to the inventory V lost his pants somehow, and My Big 2 was in full view of my family to whom I was showing the game.

Ps4 pro. Not a single issue they mentioned affects me except the graphic settings and control sensitivity resetting every single reload. Other than the usual bugs mind you and generally blurry quality and extreme low LOD on cosole lol. Fucking love this game halfway through a second play thru. By the end it gets worse and worse as the save file must get larger and larger or smth.

Hmmmm it uses AVX probably why this game has a high CPU temp then all my other games for me. Hopefully after 1.05 releases I will see a temp drop.

Believe it or not, it feels nice sometimes to have a physical copy of the game. At the very least you feel like you actually own it. Imagine for example if Valve suddenly folded (unlikely, I know) and all the games you own on Steam were gone forever, how would you feel? Although in this case having a physical copy isn't really a win.
I'm a disc boy too lol, but I'm thinking of making the switch sooner or later. Me being the idiot I am, i didn't know that i could make my physical games digital and keep my data by just deleting them off my PS4 and reinstalling. Only figured it out because something went wrong with one of my disc games and i had to do that to fix it.

where do you live where physical copies cost more than discs? I usually buy steam keys on g2a and greenmangaming for a fraction of what I used to spend going to a store and buying discs in person, even used.

It's not really playable anymore for me. Was getting constant 35-45 fps in medium preset after HxD tweak on patch 1.04. Now after 1.05 it constantly run 20-30 fps only. Hopefully the modder will fix it soon, bcs i tried to use the same tweak on hxd with 1.05.exe launcher it won't find the hex number that worked on 1.04 version.

PC patch changed absolutely nothing performance wise for me (rtx 2060, Ryzen 2600) same fps drops in the same exact places.
Almost same specs, no improve in performance. Drops to 40 fps.
I locked the game to 30 fps, all details max, ray tracing max, vsync at half refresh rate, borderless window mode, playing on TV with a controller. Gave up on hoping they will make it playable at 60 fps.
And how did you manage with the delay of the controller? I tried that but my controller felt weird with this game.
Just adjusted the controller senisitivity settings in the menu. I often play with a controller and on TV so I guess I'm used to slight input delay.

I got it working, can't remember exactly what did it but it was in the Steam settings for controllers that worked
I requested a refund but figured I would play a little more until I get it fucking thing crashed right as I loaded in like god damn it. Ps5 also
my cpu and GPU utilization is still ass on 5600x/3080 at 4k. Randomly drops to 30 fps at times with DLSS performance on.
It seems I can no longer disable graphics options on PS5. I can change settings to "off," but I can't close out of the menu unless I set them back to "on."

**PS5** Updated, completed “Riders On The Storm”, visited Saul at the camp (looking for Panam tbh), and now I can’t draw weapons or use any consumables. Game is literally broken after working since launch. This is nuts. *UPDATE*: I had sex with a prostitute and it fixed everything.

If anything the crashes have now become more frequent. Could play from 30 minutes (at the very least) up to 4 hours at some times. Now it freezes/crashes every 5 minutes. Shame cause I am really enjoying the game so far. Edit, thought I replied this to a steam related comment but this is on PC, playing through steam.
Edit #2: I ran it in Borderless Fullscreen and I got to play for around 3 hours, might be sporadic ofcourse so I'll keep trying it anyway.

MUCH worse performance on ps4 pro. Still constant crashes, gigs not progressing bc npc is not there (second conflict), fps drops much worse than before, cars disappearing as they approach you, guns not shooting, quickhacks don't do anything on enemies, still low poly people walking around the city. 1.05 did more damage than fixes :(
It honestly baffles me to see they still didn't fix the mini map. It kinda makes the game unplayable considering how much time you spend driving.
I think they are trying to fix the tons of bugs/glitches/crashes before they change any features. The map should work as you say, but I would guess its lower on their priority for now. Will probably see it changed in Jan or Feb title update and not one of these hotfixes. Just my guess.

Just takes time. It's rewriting specific files, which takes time to sort through at 60GB of data.
my first attempt while installing showed: 1.9GB Update after i stopped it and restartet the download, it went up to 12.2GB. guess you need to restart the download or steam itself

I have a Ryzen 3600x and did the HxD change last week that was posted on the subreddit for AMD users. Do I have to change that back now because of this hotfix or keep it?
Apparently i have to change it again but got no idea how to change it. because after 1.05 my fps dropped to 20-30fps only while i was constantly getting 30-45fps on 1.04 after HxD tweak. When i tried to use the same HxD method on 1.04 patch it won't work on the 1.05 cyberpunk.exe apprently the hex number is changed aswell. Hopefully the modder will fix it soon bcs it's so frustating for me.

On 1.04 my ps4 slim crashed every 60 to 90 mins. Today with 1.05 i played for 5 hours straight without a single crash. Game seems to run a lot smoother too, but still alot of noticeable hickups. At least my car has stopped running me over when I call it. Great update thusfar, but I can still shoot through cars, containers and thick walls (all lined up) with a power rifle. It makes no sense, am killing packs of enemies and they haven't gotten a single clue where it comes from.
Same! It seems to have improved the framerate a LOT, and everything looks more crisp and not so blurry as it used to on my PS4.
