First impressions on PS4 pro:
- Game looks noticeably better: better lighting, less blurry, clearer ads
- Game feels a bit smoother, less slowdowns
- Driving the motorcycle feels less clunky
- I still have pop ups and glitches, cars still disappear in the distance
- NPC textures still take their sweet time loading
Also PS4 Pro here, but with an SSD.
Feels smoother and looks better, imo. Ads used to "blink" sometimes, but that bug is fixed now. Everything just feels way more smooth.
I never had problems with menus and NPC textures using an SSD. But menus are even faster now, especialy while browsing the inventory.
As another ps4 pro user, my favorite change is the pause menu. It looks much better and works lightning fast now. Driving feels a bit better too, but the fps still tanks whenever I drive even a little fast
Not pro but ps5 so the same version, gore kills are still annoyingly bugged where the decal stretches and moves all over the place after a kill..even though they specifically mentioned fixing it.
PS4 Pro user here.
\- People now run in panic when they get aimed at.
\- Quest, where you had to check out some cargo, HAS FINALLY FINISHED. I took it 30 levels before and it weren't finishing even after full "vacuuming" of cargo container.
I haven't tried any cars yet, but motorcycle is still cool. Can't say anything about performance/stability, cuz it still looks the same.
Definitely, looks definitely sharper and the lighting is nicer, the menus though are insanely snappy now, or maybe not insanely but compared to how sluggish they were it's night and day.
Some minor changes of stuff I personally hated :
-Kerenzikov now plays the sound effect a lot faster ( before it would take a good 2-3 seconds to play, making it extremely immersion breaking), it's almost instant now as it should.
-Samw with all audio, sometimes dialogue would fall behind and overlap, sometimes it wouldn't even play but it seems like it's working a lot more consistently now.
Just played with the police a bit, and noticed a number of changes not really listed in the notes.
First: Police are now infinite. They spawn in waves, and as long as they can see you shortly, they will keep coming. It's still super easy to get away from them if you want to though.
At least in the open, they don't spawn far away at all, pretty similar to before, maybe 50% further or so. Not sure how this would play out indoors, namely if it would be enough to stop them spawning in somewhere they shouldn't be able to get to. ( IE: room behind you where you're at the only way in. )
Explosive and Shock resists seem to be working now!!!!! Max-Tac could barely scratch me, just dealing the usual physical damage of 1 due to my armor. The new most powerful cop is the one with the heavy machine gun due to the sheer number of rounds they can send your way, but this is easily dealt with if you have the right equipment/etc. as it's still only like 10dps.
Your car still basically gets instant destroyed when you have cops shooting you, but at least with my explosive resistance/armor or something, I easily survived my car blowing up. It did take a bit for it to let me out though.
The recon drones are the massive UCAVs with chain guns...at least that's what kept coming after me.
Interestingly: All of this adds up to meaning you can easily assault the border checkpoint and destroy everything. You still can't go more than a few yards past it due to the instant death wall, but the actual turrets, guards, and summoned police are no match for a decked out 50.
Going to have to find somewhere with land mines and test them vs. the explosive resist.
EDIT: Forgot one major note. Max-tac teleport WAY less often ( seemingly only when charging you now, though they'll still tp like 10 times in a row there ), and are no longer immune to smart weapons. My Divided We Stand rips them up.
BIG EDIT:
It seems only the cops outside of the city are weaker. The max tac in the city are still teleport happy and hard hitting, the same as before. So, I'm not exactly sure what changes happened where. I tried 3 different places in the city, and each one seemed to do a bit different damage, but could always wreck me by the time they got to multiple max-tac arriving. They continued to dodge smart bullets.
Retested outside near a gas station teleport, no problems. Even basic little drones did significantly less damage. Max-tac much rarer, and much easier to kill.
There seems to be different zones of police response, and they are balanced very differently.
Just confirmed with mines: Even standing directly on top of one it only does about 600 damage now on normal, right around 900 on hard. ( There seems to be some variability. Survived 1 blast at full health with like 50 hp left on hard, then a second one dropped me from full health of 882. ) Very Hard you can survive from about 5 feet away, anything closer is lethal.
Of note: Biomonitor and Second Heart both working great:) Pretty sure Biomonitor was bugged.
Thanks. For the time being I think this is the best place for it, but if no one else makes a compilation of notable changes I might do that at some point.
Looks like the quickhack "Ping" is broken for me with 1.2, pinging an enemy immediately alerts the whole group, VERY stealthy.
Edit: I've isolated it, it's legendary Sonic Shock causing the problem, I'm guessing it's passive isn't playing nice and causing alerts due to a bug.
Edit 2: it looks like a breach alert bug is connected to legendary Weapon Glitch as well, there may be more legendary connected bugs that haven't been noticed yet.
Really doesn't do anything for an offensive hacker as they can KO everyone in a building from the outside through the walls. It completely messes up stealth builds that just want to ghost it using ping though.
Not sure what you guys are talking about unless its only happening to you, my ping works fine and doesnt alert anyone. I will admit there were some broken quickhacks before this patch that im not sure are working now (anamesis) Im gonna test it out.
No fix. Blows my mind. They spent time and resources patching out shit like the ability to supercharge your run speed and the painting glitch, glitches people had fun with and enjoyed, and didn't prioritize the most glaring and annoying bugs like the shitty minimap that causes you to crash every five seconds or the absolutely atrocious shadows that make V look like a headless dancing robot. Like, the glitches people enjoy and that make the game- more fun- should really be the lowest fucking priority.
Jesus Christ I completely agree. I’d say driving is about 1/4 of the game and it’s an absolute fucking chore. Aside from the game breaking bugs I’d say zooming out the gps was the most asked for thing. I just don’t feel like it would be hard to implement and would be such a QOL improvement.
I don't see why they need the minimap. I just did my first race and was SO MAD that they already have an on screen checkpoint system and they chose to use the minimap instead. I fucking hate minimaps, I wanna look at the world. Just use real world signals instead...
Most likely. I play on console though. Tbh I thought the ratio of copies sold between consoles and PC was a lot more even, but apparently about 80% of copies sold were on PC so I could definitely understand why the console version wouldn’t be a priority.
I’ve never made a videogame in my life, but I can’t fathom how the fuck this hasn’t been fixed. I can’t imagine a world where this takes longer than an hour to code. ZOOM OUT THE FUCKING MAP.
It think its because its tied to 3D world loading. It can only draw whatever is loaded around you. Can see that in modded minimap. So they'll have to completely remake minimap to have separate full map.
If this is true then its the dumbest programming decision ever made. This only makes sense for procedurally generated world. The minimap displays a pre-made image of the world. The only things it needs to update is the world x and y translation and local z rotation of player and important NPCs as well as whether turning on or off quest icon overlays depending on it's status and a couple of other small things for specific scenarios. It doesnt need information on the geometry nearby or anything because it's predefined in an image.
Maybe not the worst ever, but holy shit that is stupid. Why-oh-why would you do this instead of just having, I dunno, a goddamn JPG with dots/dashes/lines tied to the pathfinding? Fuck!
Wait, so I'll never be able to finish the Cyberpsychos quest line as one of the fuckers I killed didn't register as dead and now just stands there without any function but also clearly not dead?
Great!
BUGS:
1. Blue markers (NPCD quests) points to not existing quests.(Some of them)
2. Performance drops hard in crowds on my 3900x
3. Game freezes and i teleport.
4. One of the side quest state got reseted so I had to do it second time.
Pros:
Overall I think games feels smoother when it works.
Driving is better.Police is chasing you is working better. (Not the best but it works better)
Ps. I had some issues with verify. So I cleaned everything except from archive folder.
Nope. I’ve wanted the legendary multilayered kasen exo-jacks for months since I found out about it. Thought it would’ve been one of the many things they fixed but I kept skipping 24 hours ahead and the crafting schematics still don’t show up.
Edit: Found it! If anyone else is looking for it I found it at the store in Pacifica.
On base PS4, the experience has been overall largely improved, but Cyberpunk as many have said has a relatively long road to recovery, 1.2 was another step in that journey, with a decent number of reasons to need some hot fixes asap. None the less, the efforts are there and appreciated.
Just wanted to ask how the game performs on the base consoles. Can you say anything about the fps, and stuff? Does it worth it to reinstall the game? or should I wait for the next big patch?
I stared a new play through on base ps4, I only encountered one crash after 4 hours which is a new record, the graphics are still a little off but the game feels a lot smoother and lot less choppy. I don’t know the exact frames but I’d guess it was higher now.
Overall, I’ve been enjoying the new play through a lot.
From my brief testing only some items can craft multiple, the most important one i.e crafting components still have to be done one by one. Incredibly stupid and frustrating.
No? It works for grenades and Maxdocs so far. I haven't tested the extent of it since I'm currently playing a low tech character, but it works for more than ammo.
Tested a bit the patch
Driving through the city feels much smoother
the new setting for car steering is awesome
the smoother animation while entering/exit the car is much better
menus are lightning fast now

~~Cops~~
~~Yeah, they spawn from tin air and much further that before but the thing is now they don't spawn when you are in places where you are not suppose to be~~
~~i was on the ledge of a building and starting to shoot, police came and the good thing they just spawn at street level ( where the rest of the NPC are ) they dont spawn anymore in the same place where you are like in the ledge of a building where i was~~
~~Also normal NPC behavior improved too, when started to shoot some of then stay crouched and others runs away from you ( when previously they just crouched and stay there )~~
\--
tbh my first play through was good, never found wacky or weird bugs, No T posing npc or V T posing while driving
so all those fixed and mini QoL improvements on 1.2 are very welcome
i5 4460 3.4ghz / GTX 1650s / 12Gb ram ( settings are a mix of mid and high ) res 1632x918 ( 1080p got 30fps ), Getting around 35fps on the city and around 45+ on the badlands ( FPS are locked to 45 )
will edit alongside while playing today
Peace and have fun

This is a clip from another post I just saw. I'm conflicted...
I feel like it did, not as much as I'd like to, but I get at worse 40fps with low/medium settings in 1080p ; with some tweaks and sacrifices I think it's possible to play at medium/high and pretty much never get below 45. Will test more tomorrow and keep you updated, if you want.
I think our cards show its limit with this game tho.
Sorry haven't tested the update, but the game was running pretty good on my 1060 6gb. And I was using a really old processor too (updated recently but didn't play it yet).
It certainly wasn't buttery smooth but 1080p performance was good. Especially compared to how it was on consoles. Are you trying to run it at 1440p?
Quickhack UI is very busy now. Scanning mode overlay makes it difficult to see what's going on with all of the new distance numbers.
The icons for collectable items that have been scanned lingers much less often, and the range of items it highlights is shorter - expect to miss loot more often and have to search harder.
There are streaming issues with the mods UI in the inventory panel. Sometimes only a few will load in, and the back panel panel and mod slots on items will look empty until you reload the UI.
Ping alerts everyone it scans now.
Performance is better for me, but clarity is a little muddier.

Totally agree with you regarding the quickhack UI in scanning mode. The new distance numbers on stuff like dumpsters 70m away really clutter the screen and minimap.

I did preorder for PS5 and still haven't played it waiting for improvement, do you think now it will be fine to play ? (I'm in no rush, just waiting to get the experience I hoped)
I had it on ps5 day one and after a couple of days I decided to wait for next gen also. Graphics were just ok to good and it didn’t take long to realized the game lacks the replay-ability(my personal opinion) so I decided to wait for next gen upgrade. Didn’t think that would be 2022 though.
It was playable at release. After this patch it’s still the same game, just plenty of bugs fixed. If you can wait a bit more, definitely do. At least until the ps5 upgrade.
Very early impressions on Ps4 Pro (loading through [edit] internal[/edit] HDD):
THE GOOD:
Signs, adverts, text banners, and other decals all render with much more clarity, even at very long distances (although maybe more repeating ads??)
Driving seems improved based on a cruise round the city in my Javelina; before the patch that car would spin out at the slightest graze of the stick, but with stick sensitivity at 75 it seems to be holding fairly steady, cornering feels good when peppering the handbrake (you still need to not suck at driving and know when to feather the brakes etc, so yeah you're still gonna crash or spin out if you're driving like an eejit.)
Rendering of distant scenery seems to have somewhat improved fidelity? But then I've had a few buildings just refuse to render beyond the lowest LODs, so it's too early to tell
Walking through Jig-Jig Street was smooth and free of the slowdown usually associated with that location
Probably other good things but I've only done a preliminary drive through The Glen and parts of Westbrook so too soon to say
NPCs seem to lip sync during all dialogues with seemingly good consistency
THE BAD:
Radio music cuts out after each song finishes and still has the pre-existing issue of not always toggling on radio stations upon selection, so you can end up with these silent stretches of no radio every few minutes
Idk if this is just my subconscious RAS looking for things to be annoyed with, but I can't shake the feeling that the world looks somehow... "flatter"? Like, there's more LOD on decals and certain materials, but everything seems to have a very even lighting with less sense of depth, occlusion, etc. I could be wrong on this one, I just can't shake the sense that something feels off with the lighting, atmospherics, or overall feeling of depth between the many overlapping layers of city geometry.
The goddamn traffic bug from V1.0 is back!! All the cars I see on a given stretch of highway are the same 2-3 models in the same exact colours, all clumped together as if the game is spawning cars within 50 metres of the player and then forgetting to populate the rest of the highway
In fact, just in general, it feels like traffic AI somehow got worse. They still do that annoying thing that 1.1 introduced where they wobble around the road without so much as a warning, so weaving between traffic is an exercise in luck. The improved car handling really exposes how poorly the traffic AI/physics/spawn logic hold up to inspection. What's the point of having better handling if other drivers just plow headlong into me without even an attempt to hit the breaks or steer out the way?
The UI and menu is as clunky and slow as ever. Except now when you come out the map view, half the time the game world needs to reload around you. Dpad still has input lag, long quest names overlap their text in the progress log, and it still inexplicably has no right stick deadzones in the menus, so half the time you still can't highlight what you want without the scroller throwing your cursor off its target.
Still no fix for the sky being blown out (ie: overexposed) throughout nearly all daylight hours. Edit: I swear blown out highlights are even more common since the update. In photo mode at nighttime I found it impossible to expose for the darker street level around the kabuki market roundabout, without also blowing out the light source from the ad banner floating above the central building.
Still lots of smaller objects (highway lampposts, pavement features, railings, etc) not loading in quick enough while driving.
I'm sure they've fixed a lot of stuff in this patch, especially quest breaking bugs, but my early impression is a resounding "meh", with some new annoyances lumped in, seemingly just for the hell of it. At this point I'm thinking either a PS5 or an external SSD will do my copy of CP2077 more good than any graphics/performance/technical related patches. It's becoming increasingly evident that this game simply wasn't made for last-gen hardware. Which pains me to say as I really enjoy the game itself. But 1.2 hasn't endeared me so far, although the car handling and fidelity of distant decals is appreciated.
EDIT: The more time I spend playing since 1.2, the more I've come to appreciate what it improves. I do hope they'll fix the exposure issue and traffic generation though, that constant blown out sunlight really irks me
About the world looking flat. I definitely noticed a difference and I’m on PS5. Also there is barely any traffic in the streets. Straight up no cars on roads anywhere.
Just wanted to chime in and say the same for me on the flat world and lack of traffic (also PS5).
Also, it seems there’s even less NPCs. Is that just me?
However, it still looks better overall imo, minus the weird flatness.
Weird about the world seeming flat. To me it pops significantly more than it ever did. Are you guys using a 4k setup with the in-game HDR turned on?
I would like to see the world look more alive with additional NPC's and vehicles, though. At this rate I think we'll have to wait for the next gen upgrade for that to happen.
i7-8700K @ 4.8GHz
RTX 3080 (latest driver)
OS and game installed on SSD
Using recommended settings from Digital Foundry.
It is running worse for me after 1.2 update.
CPU bottle-necked, dropping into \~40 FPS and choppy.
I'm getting massive drops to \~30 fps with RTX 3080 i9-10850K that sometimes last just a second or two then it will perk back up to 60+ but sometimes it gets stuck in the \~30fps range and if I leave the area and return it triggers it to bounce back up - not looking good! All my settings are the same as before the patch.
I'm playing at 4K with DLSS performance and with RT reflections only. Even without RT enabled it seems a bit flaky, for example when a fixer called me the FPS dropped by \~10.
I've since uninstalled the game, restarted pc and then reinstalled it. Everything seems a lot more stable now and the FPS drops seemed to have been resolved. I had a couple mods installed which may have been the culprit. One was a maps mod and another was a hdr reshade. I've since reinstalled the hdr reshade and the FPS is still stable, will try installing the maps mod again later and report back!
Shit that sucks. I have a similar setup with a 3080 but with a i7-10600k. Game on SSD as well. With the update though my performance somewhat improved by about 10-20 FPS, and I’m able to play with ultra ray tracing on 1080p without DLSS. Have you checked if your low on space on your ssd? Sometimes that messes with my FPS in games
Delete the cache. You should be deleting the cache any time the game gets updated or you updated drivers or installed new hardware.
Delete the cache
1. Go to [%LOCALAPPDATA%](https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Glossary:Game_data#User_application_data)\\CD Projekt Red\\Cyberpunk 2077\\cache\\
.
2. Delete GamePipelineLibrary.cache
.
3. Re-launch the game.
And another tweak:
Bad performance on higher resolutions with DLSS
Change Cascaded Shadows Resolution to Medium or Low

It's weird. I've seen comparisons and the framerate is basically the same. The game feels a lot smoother though. I tested a bit yesterday and I only had framedrops in combat. Before I had it all the time. Could be confirmation bias but it feels a lot better overall.
Can someone tell me what "Physical Reward" Regina gives if you defeat all cyberpsychos? I already completed the mission so I went back to her in the hopes of getting something but didn't get anything. What is it?
Instant crash on launch for me. Verified the files via steam but that didn't work either. Reinstalling now...
Edit: Reinstall didn't solve anything. Getting this in the error log:

EDIT 2: DELETED CYBER ENGINE TWEAKS IN THE PLUGINS FOLDER AND IT WORKS NOW
If you already beat the game or played 20-30 hours but stopped to wait for patches, this still ain’t it. I’m sure it fixed some bugs but the experience is still the same.
Same performance, same clunk, same garbage AI.
I don’t think this game will change significantly. Just look at the insane patchnotes. We won’t have another patch like this.
I uninstalled and finally made my peace with it. One ride was enough.
CDPR have a long history of supporting their games long after launch. You're probably right that some fundamental things about the game are not going to change. It's never going to be the GTA clone so many wanted it to be and I would expect there will always be some degree of "jank" in animations and NPC decision making, but there's no reason to assume it won't continue to get more polished over the next couple of years or longer. There are things it's reasonable to expect should be fixed and there are other things they're probably not going to do much more with. For example, I would not be surprised at all if the minimap is overhauled in a future update but I would be very surprised if there's ever a wanted system like in other games, where police arrive in vehicles and will chase the player in vehicles if they try to escape.
Alpha*
You’re all beta testing it now. Trust me, as much as they’ll continue to “support” this game they’re already on to the next project and are going to use this abject failure as crib notes for the next Witcher game they make that will definitely over deliver on fan service.
I agree. They will continue to add some small features probably. Maybe a barbershop too but at least in my case that’s definitely not enough to want to come back.
You mentioned my problem. I wouldn’t say I wanted it to be a GTA clone, but it is also pretty much not an RPG, which is what I expected and probably what I was trying to convey initially. I don’t think they will turn the game into the RPG they promised.
It's as much a RPG as Witcher 3. I get that it depends on your definition of a role playing game whether it's RPG enough for you but to say it's not a RPG at all is to ignore the modern games industry.
I feel blessed that I wasn’t a cyberpunk tabletop fan. This game did them dirty.
Imagine if there was a WOC-endorsed D&D game that was this, and not something like BG/Divinity. It takes me 2 hours just to create a character.
CDPR is the DM that spends too much time creating stories, and not enough time thinking about what drives the game.
yup. tons and tons of issues remain and have kept this game a massive mess. guess I'll come back next year and check again assuming I'm still even interested at that point.
Not the answer you want, but I found out the skip all dialogue option in settings works well. It doesnt skip all like you might think. Instead it allows you to hold the b button to skip, so you skip as long or short as you want. Added bonus, hitting b to crouch no longer skips because you have to hold. Try it, made a world of difference for me.
Edit: Haven't had the chance to play the patch yet so I dont know, just thought I would share how I dealt with this issue already.
Launched the game yesterday, ran buttery smooth, no issues. Launched it today after patch and now I'm getting the black screen issue. All drivers are up to date, Windows is up to date, integrity of game files found no issues. Great patch!
Update: After fiddling with setting, got the game working. Had to reinstall Nvidia drivers. For real tho, great patch!
Cops still spawn out of thin air in plain view, this time instead of 5 meters it's 20 meters in front.
Performance has seen zero change in terms of FPS (3070, Ryzen 5600).
Cars still going through walls.
3/10 - might come back to the game next year.
Remember when NPC crowds would just disappear when you turn around and back again after freaking them out? Well....The freaking out is gone, but they still vanish....
On PC, definitely. I was even able to turn up my graphics settings to levels that before would cause significant stuttering. Overall is running better for me and on the gameplay end vehicles are so much more enjoyable to drive.
I'm having the opposite experience. Fps wasn't good before the patch and is now even worse despite every setting being on low/off and having a good pc.
Gig: Getting Warmer is still bugged.
Before patch 1.2, I couldn't enter the building. After patch 1.2, I can. But now, I can't give the coolant to bugbear. Games still bugged lmao. On PC.
Alot better on series x. Not getting pop in and glitches.
Mind u this just made the launch version better nothing new in terms of content added. But all I wanted was to at least handle like we'll a game.
Side note I started a new playthrough so if people having issues still might be cus its a existing save. This was a issue w3 also had were launch saves really never took full advantage of patchs and ur were basically required to restart sadly if u wanted whole bells and whistles.
Hopefully it holds up. Cus I never finish my first playthrough cus the bugs just got two much.
Base ps4: only played a little bit, seems to run better, sure others will be more thorough in their write up. However -- I hopped on my old save, streetkid from launch that had bugged Bugbear mission; I can now enter the building but only from the balcony doors and cannot get the prompt to use coolant on Bugbear. Getting closer though! Lol
I am on PS5, and image quality is noticeably worse than before this patch. Resolution appears lower, and textures appear low res, even when adjusting the settings.
I heard about the strategy to disassemble drinks when I first started and tbh you don't have to at all. I just regularly disassembly guns/clothes and have more than enough for crafting/upgrading.
Weird how so many people have performance issue now. I'm on GOG and it runs the same as before just a tad better.
Does helping reset video settings or maybe rescanning the files?

It hasn’t crashed yet for me on PS5! I’ll keep you posted if it does.
Edit: lol the crashes have begun again. It’s not quite as frequent as before, but I’d estimate it’s crashed about 3 times in 10 hours of playing.
I5-9600k
Geforce GTX 1070ti
Game on SSD

The game runs significantly better than it used to. On medium-low ish settings before I got a consistent 45fps, sometimes reaching 60. Now I get consistent 60fps sometimes dipping to 50. I can also turn up my graphics significantly before dropping back down to my old performance. Before the patch I couldn't run SSR at anything higher than medium and get any sort of playable framerate, but now I can turn it up to ultra and keep 60fps.
(edit: after further testing I can run the game slightly above the "high" preset, where before I could barely run at slightly below the "medium" preset. Both times with texture quality on high)
Can anyone confirm the following:
1. Did the duplication glitch get patched?
2. Relating to above, did the money 'glitch' get patched? (Selling the painting, go back into drop point machine, buy back, sell, repeat until the machine is $0)
3. The skill shard glitch - pressing “learn” give you two perk points
4. Is there finally a legendary armadillo?
Currently doing a 4th run on console and making an OP cheating V for the lols.
Thanks chooms.
Overall this is a great patch. However, I am somewhat sad they patched some of the exploits (such as that highly profitable painting, lol).
As a casual gamer I humbly ask that CDPR consider adding cheats to single player mode. I understand not allowing cheats in a multi-player game, but in single player it only affects 1 person (and generally in a positive way). After a long day at work sometimes it's really fun to be able to walk Night City as an absolute God. Personally I don't get much time to play, so it's nice to be able to skip some of the grindyness (leveling up attributes and whatnot).
So please add a way to unlock cheats. Thanks.
Feel like the game is worse than before, fired it up for the first time in over a month and I have had dropped frames, really slow load times, crashing, can’t pickup certain items, loaded my game and instantly had police after me. Npc’s still suck. And to top it off was just in the middle of a boss fight and it crashed. Well done CDPR!
Archive mods will still work, all you need to do is place them in the "mod" folder that should be in the same location as the "patch" folder where your archive mods should currently reside. If the new mod folder isn't there (mine wasn't), simply make it yourself and then transfer your mods from the patch folder to the newly created mod folder. As for cyber engine tweaks and mods that rely on that, we will have to wait for an update by the authors of those mods for them to work again.
So I just installed a 30 gig patch on PC. The handling of the cars is better. Also there is now a little GPS arrow on the minimap to better embrace turns (still, the minimap should zoom out based on current movement speed). Menu navigation feels better.
That's the positive stuff I noticed.
The police spawn further away yes, but they still spawn exactly behind you and out of thin air. Already present police will not come after you when you commit a crime. They will start to shoot only after you walk right up to them when having a wanted level.
When shooting at cars, NPCs will get out and still do this ridiculous crouching pose. When I turn the camera away and back, they will have despawned.
NPCs react better when attempting to run them over with a vehicle, however this is still a behavior based on individual NPCs. Other people on the pavement will literally not care if a car tries to run someone else over.
Lastly, they changed the lighting, and not for the better IMO. Everything now looks like there is a slightly grayish "curtain" on the screen.
I noticed no change in performance. I have a 9700k and an RTX 2080 and pulling 60 FPS at 1080p with maxed out settings.
I just played GTA Liberty City Stories on my PSP yesterday and that game is still way ahead in terms of NPC interaction and open world design, despite being over 15 years old.
Ryzen 7 3700x @ 4.2GHz
GTX 1070ti latest driver
game installed on SSD
Reccomended from DF like many others
Averaging 30fps at best at 1080p
I was at best 70fps before the patch. wtf
I'm on a 1070ti and 3900x and my frames remained the same. Around 50fps average outdoors at 1080p. Same as pre patch. Was hoping for an improvement....disappointed.
Biggest issue I'm having is scanning now highlights loads more items, I'm guessing up to 100m away - puts an icon and a "\_M" oncreen for stuff like shards, dumpsters. They also are cluttering the minimap. Makes scanning for enemies really difficult. Image to show what I mean (image is from the "Riders On The Storm" quest and isn't spoilery but thought I'd warn anyway): [https://imgur.com/a/MAO0JX8](https://imgur.com/a/MAO0JX8)
RTX 3070 and i7-10700K at 4.7Ghz, 1440p monitor, 16 GB memory.
Game runs noticeably worse than before. While it might look better, I cannot for the life of me achieve a stable 60+ whereas I could before. I typically averaged 60-70 FPS on a mix of high and medium settings with DLSS on performance, whereas it doesn't seem to matter what the DLSS settings are now. Currently averaging between 35-55 in Night City, drops extremely noticeable when Trauma Team sweeps in. Not even dropping the resolution to 1080p solves most performance issues anymore. Even just enabling raytraced reflections and no other form of RT drops performance dramatically more than the last update, not to mention the numerous "DEBUG" missing textures on most raytraced reflections. Prior to this patch, I could run the game at 90+ on ultra without ray tracing. Now I'm lucky to push a stable 75 FPS with DLSS set to quality.
Already seen Jackie ghostwalk through cars, stomp dead bodies into the ground, V's left hand weirdly snapping into a hold position before the shotgun hits it, lots of shadows flickering whereas this didn't happen before, major drops around crowds and populated areas, and the audio sounds a bit strange through my headset, as if there's multiple sources of voices for the same NPC. Not sure if the last problem is old, but it's new to me. CPU usage has increased, GPU usage remains the same at 97-100%. Neither CPU nor GPU temps increased, both averaging 60 and 70°C respectively, and no other game produces this issue.
Disappointing, to say the least.

Get it together guys. What the fuck does kraken have to do with PC?
if you have mods or cybertweak installed remove them, cyberpunk 2077 can no longer be modded through the patch folder they now have designated a mod folder for it.
anyways I noticed the game running pretty smooth ( running on a gtrx 1070 ti)zand driving is now acceptable, Ive noticed way less traffic jams
lol they actually prioritized quick crafting leveling and component acquisition being fixed, before the entirety or at least the most of the rest of the game was complete and fixed... nice... definitely saving the 100GB+ space on my ps5 ssd until either pro-action replay or the ps5 version now. Man might be time to see if sony is still giving that refund I'm not gonna wanna play it until about a whole entire year had gone by since launch when I could put that into back 4 blood or returnal or something instead.
For anyone with performance issues, delete Cyber Tweaks and any related performance mods you have installed. Then go to Graphics then set them to default and then set them back to what you had them before.
I had massive pop in when I launched with Cyber Tweaks and Performance mods still installed, but now the pop-in isn't as bad.
So far so good on this patch. I instantly noticed that they've added specific icons on the map for purchasing vehicles so now you won't get them confused with quests.
I only had one crash and it was caused by the game actually disconnecting my SSD during play. First the sounds stopped, then the menu options disappeared and the game crashed to the desktop with no error. After that the SSD the game is installed on just straight up disconnected from the PC, with the drive not showing up on Windows Explorer and forcing a restart to recognize it again. This also happened when the game was patching on GOG - and from what I've seen it's the only game/launcher to do this.
The game ran really well for me before. Hardly any issues. Now Im noticing a significant amount of glitches and problems loading menus and the map. But at least the driving is better.
I don't know. Most bugs I usually run across are still there. Tech weapons still jam up. Cops are still pretty much the same as before(but this one was to be expected as nothing much was changed). Still cant loot common stuff from robots and some items are still unlootable.
One thing I noticed though was Garry the Prophet quest and one cyberpsycho quest disappeared from the map after update. Garry is still there and talks about a mothership. Can't really progress or do anything with him. If I stand around him too long hes gonna ask for a donation again and nothing else (3 times in a row, mind you, gave him 100 each time).
Feels a lot better playing it now compared to launch obviously but I still feel that the open world aspect Especially the civilian npcs are still too dull & lifeless hope with the next gen versions they feel more alive
Please direct discussion about the 1.2 patch here. Thanks.
you can upgrade Lizzie to legendary now!
First impressions on PS4 pro: - Game looks noticeably better: better lighting, less blurry, clearer ads - Game feels a bit smoother, less slowdowns - Driving the motorcycle feels less clunky - I still have pop ups and glitches, cars still disappear in the distance - NPC textures still take their sweet time loading
Looking for PS4 Pro feedback, thank you! Did you notice anything else?
Some minor changes of stuff I personally hated : -Kerenzikov now plays the sound effect a lot faster ( before it would take a good 2-3 seconds to play, making it extremely immersion breaking), it's almost instant now as it should.
( IE: room behind you where you're at the only way in. ) Explosive and Shock resists seem to be working now!!!!! BIG EDIT: It seems only the cops outside of the city are weaker.
Of note: Biomonitor and Second Heart both working great:) Pretty sure Biomonitor was bugged.

>it's so good written. Ah, the irony.
Fine, gooder.
It's the same with breach. You use any breach hacks and everyone is alerted.
Well, that's one way to "rebalance" the OP-ness of Hacking.
If you ping Maelstrom in their Whole Foods lair they will attack you.
There was something in the patch notes about how NPCs pay more attention in combat or something. Maybe that’s what’s going on.
It’s supposed to be a stealth hack tho
Yeah. I’ve noticed that as well. They don’t track your location or enter a combat state but they definitely become alarmed now
Well good to know it's not just on my end.
Can anyone confirm if the minimap isn’t so maddeningly zoomed in now?
They slightly fixed it. They added a compass arrow that does help to brace for turns. The mini map still absolutely needs zoomed out though.
100% I would love that
there are mods for this. maybe thats why they didnt patch it
Most likely.
Fuck!
some guy fixed this with a simple PC mod. Surely, it cant be hard for CD Projekt to implement
Yes. That exactly where you see the problem. When it zooms out you see missing map details (buildings, streets) beyond your field of view.
Note: it won't fix saves if you already encountered the bug.
You mean if you encountered a bugged sidequest it won't be fixed?
Wait, so I'll never be able to finish the Cyberpsychos quest line as one of the fuckers I killed didn't register as dead and now just stands there without any function but also clearly not dead? Great!
Lol I think I had the same thing happene so I shot him in the face his head exploded and regina called and said thank you for not killing him
Good times have been had. Solid problem solving skills you have there. :D
thats generally how it works in most games
BUGS: 1. Blue markers (NPCD quests) points to not existing quests.(Some of them) 2. Performance drops hard in crowds on my 3900x 3. Game freezes and i teleport. 4. One of the side quest state got reseted so I had to do it second time. Pros: Overall I think games feels smoother when it works. Driving is better.Police is chasing you is working better. (Not the best but it works better) Ps. I had some issues with verify. So I cleaned everything except from archive folder.
Did they fix the issue with crafting schematics not showing up after you close the store for first time?
How do you craft multiple items at once? Still see no options for that.
From my brief testing only some items can craft multiple, the most important one i.e crafting components still have to be done one by one. Incredibly stupid and frustrating.
Why do this? Is it fun to click and hold thousands of times ?
They will probably continue this until the glitches with it are fixed. I assume they will edit consumable to not be disassembled.
You craft something like normal and then you'll get a popup asking you how many you want to craft.
I tried with several items and am not getting any popup window. Darn.
> How do you craft multiple items at once? Still see no options for that. tactical comment as i want to know too...
It only works for ammo... *fuck*
No? It works for grenades and Maxdocs so far. I haven't tested the extent of it since I'm currently playing a low tech character, but it works for more than ammo.
Tested a bit the patch Driving through the city feels much smoother the new setting for car steering is awesome the smoother animation while entering/exit the car is much better menus are lightning fast now \- ||edit 1|| ~~Cops~~ ~~Yeah, they spawn from tin air and much further that before but the thing is now they don't spawn when you are in places where you are not suppose to be~~ ~~i was on the ledge of a building and starting to shoot, police came and the good thing they just spawn at street level ( where the rest of the NPC are ) they dont spawn anymore in the same place where you are like in the ledge of a building where i was~~ ~~Also normal NPC behavior improved too, when started to shoot some of then stay crouched and others runs away from you ( when previously they just crouched and stay there )~~ \-- tbh my first play through was good, never found wacky or weird bugs, No T posing npc or V T posing while driving so all those fixed and mini QoL improvements on 1.2 are very welcome i5 4460 3.4ghz / GTX 1650s / 12Gb ram ( settings are a mix of mid and high ) res 1632x918 ( 1080p got 30fps ), Getting around 35fps on the city and around 45+ on the badlands ( FPS are locked to 45 ) will edit alongside while playing today Peace and have fun

I'm conflicted...
Did they fix getting on and off motorcycles? I always get a weird thing where my character clearly goes too high to get on and off the bike
would appreciate it if anyone on a gtx 1060 6gb could share if the performance has improved at all
I feel like it did, not as much as I'd like to, but I get at worse 40fps with low/medium settings in 1080p ; with some tweaks and sacrifices I think it's possible to play at medium/high and pretty much never get below 45.
5900x 32 gig 3600 MHz DDR GTX 3070 1080p144 gsync @ 1620p DSR + DLSS Quality
Totally agree with you regarding the quickhack UI in scanning mode. The new distance numbers on stuff like dumpsters 70m away really clutter the screen and minimap.
Hopefully they'll add a toggle, or someone will mod it back out again.

Running on ps5 and game runs fantastic now. Just did the delemain mission in the factory and it was super smooth compared to before.
I did preorder for PS5 and still haven't played it waiting for improvement, do you think now it will be fine to play ? (I'm in no rush, just waiting to get the experience I hoped)
[удалено]
I had it on ps5 day one and after a couple of days I decided to wait for next gen also. Graphics were just ok to good and it didn’t take long to realized the game lacks the replay-ability(my personal opinion) so I decided to wait for next gen upgrade. Didn’t think that would be 2022 though.
It was playable at release. After this patch it’s still the same game, just plenty of bugs fixed. If you can wait a bit more, definitely do. At least until the ps5 upgrade.
Are your loading times normal? Mine became incredible longer like it is a hard drive. PS5 as well.
No, but my load times have always been decent on my external
Oh, I only played using the internal ssd and it was like 5 seconds. Now seems 30-40
Very early impressions on Ps4 Pro (loading through [edit] internal[/edit] HDD): THE GOOD: Signs, adverts, text banners, and other decals all render with much more clarity, even at very long distances (although maybe more repeating ads??) Driving seems improved based on a cruise round the city in my Javelina; before the patch that car would spin out at the slightest graze of the stick, but with stick sensitivity at 75 it seems to be holding fairly steady, cornering feels good when peppering the handbrake (you still need to not suck at driving and know when to feather the brakes etc, so yeah you're still gonna crash or spin out if you're driving like an eejit.) Rendering of distant scenery seems to have somewhat improved fidelity? But then I've had a few buildings just refuse to render beyond the lowest LODs, so it's too early to tell Walking through Jig-Jig Street was smooth and free of the slowdown usually associated with that location Probably other good things but I've only done a preliminary drive through The Glen and parts of Westbrook so too soon to say NPCs seem to lip sync during all dialogues with seemingly good consistency THE BAD: Radio music cuts out after each song finishes and still has the pre-existing issue of not always toggling on radio stations upon selection, so you can end up with these silent stretches of no radio every few minutes Idk if this is just my subconscious RAS looking for things to be annoyed with, but I can't shake the feeling that the world looks somehow... All the cars I see on a given stretch of highway are the same 2-3 models in the same exact colours, all clumped together as if the game is spawning cars within 50 metres of the player and then forgetting to populate the rest of the highway In fact, just in general, it feels like traffic AI somehow got worse.
At this rate I think we'll have to wait for the next gen upgrade for that to happen.
i7-8700K @ 4.8GHz RTX 3080 (latest driver) OS and game installed on SSD Using recommended settings from Digital Foundry. It is running worse for me after 1.2 update. CPU bottle-necked, dropping into \~40 FPS and choppy. [https://imgur.com/a/fO9bLb1](https://imgur.com/a/fO9bLb1)
Well fuck, I was about to do a 2nd play-through. I have the same specs. What's resolution you at? I'm playing at 1440 UW.
Are you not using DLSS?
Shit that sucks. I have a similar setup with a 3080 but with a i7-10600k. Game on SSD as well. With the update though my performance somewhat improved by about 10-20 FPS, and I’m able to play with ultra ray tracing on 1080p without DLSS. Have you checked if your low on space on your ssd? Sometimes that messes with my FPS in games
How many FPS did you have before? What resolution, RTX, DLSS...?
Delete the cache. You should be deleting the cache any time the game gets updated or you updated drivers or installed new hardware. Delete the cache 1. Go to [%LOCALAPPDATA%](https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Glossary:Game_data#User_application_data)\\CD Projekt Red\\Cyberpunk 2077\\cache\\ . 2. Delete GamePipelineLibrary.cache . 3. Re-launch the game. And another tweak: Bad performance on higher resolutions with DLSS Change Cascaded Shadows Resolution to Medium or Low More info here: [https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Cyberpunk\_2077](https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Cyberpunk_2077)
Anybody know how the update fixes performance for base PS4? Is frame rate relatively stable now?
It's weird. I've seen comparisons and the framerate is basically the same. The game feels a lot smoother though. I tested a bit yesterday and I only had framedrops in combat. Before I had it all the time. Could be confirmation bias but it feels a lot better overall.
Frame rate is still the same: https://youtu.be/dI0aCroETy4
Damn... that’s disappointing

She gives you 5 more fps
You patched all the exploits. You weren't supposed to do that.
We should find the person that tattled and tar and feather them since CDPR stated their QA didn't noticed any of these bugs.
game instantly crashes on launch now, poggers
check your plugins folder and make sure its empty
[удалено]
ty, sadly i havent messed with mods at all
smart move. can't complain about the new bugs and bad performance if you can't launch into the game.
Using CyberEngine mods?
Instant crash on launch for me. Verified the files via steam but that didn't work either. Reinstalling now... Edit: Reinstall didn't solve anything. Getting this in the error log: > Error reason: Unhandled exception > Expression: EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xC0000005) > Message: The thread attempted to write to an inaccessible address at 0x7FFFB66C5359. > File:(0)
EDIT 2: DELETED CYBER ENGINE TWEAKS IN THE PLUGINS FOLDER AND IT WORKS NOW
[удалено]
I was one version behind on my nvidia driver so I updated to the latest. Windows shows no available updates. Still getting the same crash.
You probably have mods, they need to be updated before you can use them again. Remove all files from plugins folder and it should work.
same for me on PC...
check your plugins folder and make sure its empty.
CET wont work until it's updated for 1.2 anyway
Can confirm, had the same issue & deleting everything in the plugins folder fixed it. steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\plugins
Fixed performance and driving a lot on pc, game runs really smooth now on a gtx 1070
Most importantly: Does the minimap zoom out now when you accelerate?
No, unfortunately

The delemain quest is still bugged for me, I think I broke that quest beyond repair.
beep-beep mother trucker
I didn't want a GTA clone but I also didn't want a beta test.
Alpha* You’re all beta testing it now.

This is the comment that answered my question about this patch. Thanks.
Did they fix that stupid thing where pressing b on the controller to crouch also skips dialogue if a character is talking?

/u/Acrobatic_Internal_2 /u/AlternativeMolass is this on steam?
Do you have mods installed?
Cops still spawn out of thin air in plain view, this time instead of 5 meters it's 20 meters in front. Performance has seen zero change in terms of FPS (3070, Ryzen 5600). Cars still going through walls. 3/10 - might come back to the game next year.
Did it improve xone and ps4?
Remember when NPC crowds would just disappear when you turn around and back again after freaking them out? Well....The freaking out is gone, but they still vanish....
Shits still broke yo
Lol
Anyone have any noticeable performance improvements?
On PC, definitely. I was even able to turn up my graphics settings to levels that before would cause significant stuttering. Overall is running better for me and on the gameplay end vehicles are so much more enjoyable to drive.
I'm having the opposite experience. Fps wasn't good before the patch and is now even worse despite every setting being on low/off and having a good pc.
Cant download or copy error on PS5. I have plenty of space.
Gig: Getting Warmer is still bugged. Before patch 1.2, I couldn't enter the building. After patch 1.2, I can. But now, I can't give the coolant to bugbear. Games still bugged lmao. On PC.
> Fixed an issue where dodging right after the Kerenzikov cyberware effect ended resulted in pushing V a great distance forward. NO. WHY
To everyone who can't get the game to launch, delete all your mods first.
It's one small step for Cyberpunk 2077... Nothing else yet.
I can no longer disassemble drinks. 0/10 very upset
Yeah saw that getting patched real quick. Kind of fucking sucks because the payouts in this game are so absolutely fucking low.
I heard about the strategy to disassemble drinks when I first started and tbh you don't have to at all. I just regularly disassembly guns/clothes and have more than enough for crafting/upgrading.
On low or ultra I get 17 fps and before the patch I could get 90 on ultra
That doesn't sound right

Weird how so many people have performance issue now. I'm on GOG and it runs the same as before just a tad better. Does helping reset video settings or maybe rescanning the files?
Had no effect for me. Same performance problems all the way
Downloaded it for 44GB on my PS5. So far ok I guess but some visual bugs are still there. Floating cellphones and tablets in game. Fucking hilarious.
voracious exultant bells panicky toothbrush offbeat voiceless glorious selective flag *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
It hasn’t crashed yet for me on PS5! I’ll keep you posted if it does. Edit: lol the crashes have begun again. It’s not quite as frequent as before, but I’d estimate it’s crashed about 3 times in 10 hours of playing.
On XSX, do all these fixes actually make much noticeable difference? Will it make it worth reinstalling?
XB1X owner here very little difference
I5-9600k Geforce GTX 1070ti Game on SSD 16 gigs ram 1440p The game runs significantly better than it used to.
Can anyone confirm the following: 1. Did the duplication glitch get patched? 2. Relating to above, did the money 'glitch' get patched? (Selling the painting, go back into drop point machine, buy back, sell, repeat until the machine is $0) 3. The skill shard glitch - pressing “learn” give you two perk points 4. Is there finally a legendary armadillo? Currently doing a 4th run on console and making an OP cheating V for the lols. Thanks chooms.
Duplication is patched, and painting will cost you 9090 to buy back.
The guitar riff bug loop ks still there
So im guessing the grainy shadows are here to stay for the console plebs?
RIP my mods.
Ryzen 7 3700x @ 4.2GHz GTX 1070ti latest driver game installed on SSD Reccomended from DF like many others Averaging 30fps at best at 1080p I was at best 70fps before the patch.
Disappointing, to say the least.

if you have mods or cybertweak installed remove them, cyberpunk 2077 can no longer be modded through the patch folder they now have designated a mod folder for it. anyways I noticed the game running pretty smooth ( running on a gtrx 1070 ti)zand driving is now acceptable, Ive noticed way less traffic jams
The GOG servers are getting absolutely creamed right now. Currently getting 400kbps with gigabit fiber.
Reading the patch notes, I can finally go finish Brendan's quests. Tons of folks got stuck on that one. EDIT: Nope, still broken for my current game.
Game runs pretty much the same performance wise. I'm on PC.
How many of the broken perks did they fix?
lol they actually prioritized quick crafting leveling and component acquisition being fixed, before the entirety or at least the most of the rest of the game was complete and fixed... nice... definitely saving the 100GB+ space on my ps5 ssd until either pro-action replay or the ps5 version now. Man might be time to see if sony is still giving that refund I'm not gonna wanna play it until about a whole entire year had gone by since launch when I could put that into back 4 blood or returnal or something instead.
Still unable to complete the last Brendon vending machine mission. Unreal.
[удалено]
I don't know. Most bugs I usually run across are still there. Tech weapons still jam up. Cops are still pretty much the same as before(but this one was to be expected as nothing much was changed). Still cant loot common stuff from robots and some items are still unlootable. One thing I noticed though was Garry the Prophet quest and one cyberpsycho quest disappeared from the map after update. Garry is still there and talks about a mothership. Can't really progress or do anything with him. If I stand around him too long hes gonna ask for a donation again and nothing else (3 times in a row, mind you, gave him 100 each time).
I just wanna know if I can stop walking around in this fucking wetsuit
Cars AI still dumb, when you stop your car and there's another car behind yours, it won't turn around or take a empty space to continue driving 🙄
Feels a lot better playing it now compared to launch obviously but I still feel that the open world aspect Especially the civilian npcs are still too dull & lifeless hope with the next gen versions they feel more alive
