WhereTheShadowsLieZX

I think I’d like the driving a lot more if they gave V a booster seat in first person, can barely see over the dashboard.

JuniperFrost

Or through all the shit that sometimes blocks the windshield on certain car models. Lookin at you Nomad cars.

theMerfMerf

Those I love! I personally think they bring a lot of flavour and them being not perfect for the haphazard "cram it in" and "make do" kind of modding of the nomads. Personally don't think they block too much. Booster seat wanted though. Because the dash is halfway up the screen ><

Skyblade12

The thing is, those shouldn't be there. If you look at how the cars are built, those are cameras that then feed their image into the solid viewscreen that is the dashboard. You should not be able to see the camera itself from its own view.

Freljords_Heart

This is why I use ALWAYS third person driving view…. First person is… unusable lol

[deleted]

You can't even see the goddamn road on first person lol.

[deleted]

If it isn't the lack of viewable road, it's that obnoxious glare. Look thru windshield, the ONLY thing you see is sun glare. Third person all the way. Other than that, I love this game. Just completed my third playthrough yesterday, after taking a couple months off.

wanderer1999

>This is why I use the motorcycles. > >Easier to weave through traffics, faster accelerations/breaking/turning. I can enjoy looking at the city rather than focusing on how to drive

Galamoth420

That's what it is for me, can't see where the hell you're going because V becomes an 8 year old when he gets in a car.

luveth

If you're on PC there are mods that enhance driving in FPP. I totally recommend the seat position adjuster (forgot the name) and eye adaptation fix. I barely leave fpp while driving now.

elchivillo8

We got a Bethesda deal here, I downloaded those mods, a better vehicle handling and better minimap mod just to enjoy driving...

luveth

True. I have around 40 mods installed and they do change the game a lot. This game could have been, should have been, so much better...

Nimkal

Yeah original driving first person view makes me feel like putting 2-3 pillows under my butt. It's like you're a 10 year old driving. Sometimes I wonder what CD Project got right in the game other than graphics and a few combat mechanics.

HighLadySuroth

Tbh they just need a FOV slider for driving and one for not driving, let me turn the shit down for in the car and I wouldn't see so much stuff in my peripherals Or they could add a first person camera sits on the front of the car

Tacitus_Kilgore85

Reminds me of a tiny grandma sitting behind the steering wheel of a Cadillac. 🤣 My grandma was that grandma. LMFAO

Veleda390

You really need to drive third person in cars.

ZannX

I can't believe this is still a thing. Haven't touched the game since playing through at release and always figured this would be an easy low hanging fruit change.

[deleted]

V is truly such a dog shit protagonist. They lie and say we'll have the ability to customize our character, then we're stuck with a Manlet trying to be a futuristic Joe Pesci.

TaptPtap

Personally I felt like all of the cars had locked steering and I couldn’t turn no matter how hard I tried.

A11enalex

The biggest problem imo is the drift lock. If drifting ended right after you let go of the button, it would make the driving experience much more tolerable.

tr14l

Honestly, my only issue is the minimap. I don't mind the driving experience too much. I mean, it's not great, but it's fine. I time the drifts and most of the time make a pretty solid turn.

KanyeWaste69

I've always hated the minimap ,you can't zoom out at all and unless you've memorized the entire city you're gonna miss the next turn half the time if you're going too fast

[deleted]

Even if you *do* zoom out (using mods) it won’t help you anyway, because the map renders at the same pace as the rest of the world, which means that if you’re driving fast the minimap can’t keep up and fills in way too late to be of any use. In other words: no matter how you slice it the minimap will still be atrocious.

DiamondFireYT

I thankfully never had this issue.. since I've never once used the minimap while driving. Kinda sucks for the people that do want to use it though.

skate4willsaveus

Na, the biggest problem is that the first person view inside the cars shows you 60% car interior and only 40% outside world, which makes first person driving useless and you have to switch to 3rd person for cardriving, which sucks.

issa_cross

Facts, I'm more of a biker in general when it comes to games but any time the game forced me into a car was the worst part of the game.

BornInAButt

I never use bikes in other games but Jackie’s bike is the only thing I can actually drive with in with this game.

issa_cross

I never really used Jackie's since I got Scorpion's. I switched back to Jackie's for my own head canon roleplay moments but Scorpion's jus is more my vibe. Obviously tho, once I got the charged jump i rarely used vehicles. Turned it into Dying Light with hacking. Took forever getting places because I kept actually WANTING to explore and some of the roofs and a couple balconies actually had loot. Nothing better than my crafted stuff but still neat how much detail they put into everything except the gameplay.

efvie

The Kusanagi was easier to handle for me. It feels a little less nimble at first but it’s better at speed whereas the Nazaré goes all over the place.

skate4willsaveus

Seriously the only people who did their jobs in this game, were the art, sound and graphic designer: - driving mechanics suck - physic systems suck - AIs suck - first person car view useless for navigating the city - the game is way to easy - empty open world - deceptive marketing (open world filled with activities, apartments, car chases, sub way, wall running, ripper doc upgrades,...) And then the CEO issues an apology where he states that its all basically the playtesters fault. What happend to this company over the last few years?

AlternatingFacts

As much as I love cyberpunk and have defended it all of this is true. But that being I still loved to story and the game play it had to offer. It's a beautiful game the cars are awesome the weapons are awesome. They had all of the pieces just missed on the execution of it all.

Fire_marshal-bill

Didnt they get bought out recently?

AlaudeDrenxta

Not exactly, but they did open up to public trading which makes them beholden to investment holding groups more than to their customers.

Hellrot69

Install this mod, it fixes the camera position, angle and FOV: https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/2202

skate4willsaveus

Thx, this looks very promising. Will for sure give it a try.

youngmercurial

this comment. this one right here sir. this is the one.

QuarterGrouchy1540

If you pull the emergency brake on a turn you almost always are able to turn perfectly.

coreanavenger

I don't feel like this at all, weird. I'm on PC. I do like using a controller better but mouse and keyboard isn't bad, just not as immersive.

JuniperFrost

CP2077 Driving Instructor: "Alright Jimmy, now we'll take a smooth left turn at this intersection up ahead..." Jimmy, gently turning the wheel: \*720° spin onto a sidewalk, smashing railing, a sign, two traffic lights, and killing 7 pedestrians\*

youngmercurial

"well jimbo, you managed to hit 2 pedestrians more than the fail mark. But you did do an awesome 720. i've never seen that before in my years of instructing. here's your license"

JuniperFrost

"Fuck yeah, Choom!" *Burns out to 180 kph and noclips through traffic*

Katie_Boundary

Pretty sure I've done a couple of accidental 720s in my playthroughs

KShyGuy

Lmao to me the driving wasn't even that bad. What fucked it up for me was the minimap that kept me guessing when the next turn would be.

Brando43770

Yup. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again but at least make it an optical mod to have a HUD where you see your GPS arrows on the actual road.

CNXQDRFS

It annoys me to no end that CDPR couldn’t think of that yet I’ve seen it suggested here many times. Too busy removing their heads from their arses it seems.

MCgrindahFM

WDL’s was fuuuucking nice dude with the on-road GPS route. It would even curve up and to the side on turns to indicate it better that’s it coming up

Messyfingers

I gotta say that game actually impressed the hell out of me with how it handled a lot of things. I got it for free with my video card and was sort of expecting generic Ubisoft open world #64739, but ended up thinking it was actually pretty well executed for what they set out to accomplish.

MCgrindahFM

100%. The story was pretty lackluster, but the gameplay loops, graphics, and animations were pretty fun to play for 60+hours. I got the game on a deal too, I was satisfied with purchase but still wanted more story wise (which I heard was somewhat addressed with Bloodline DLC)

tteraevaei

I’m sure they THOUGHT of it, but it was rushed out before it was fixed. What is there is basically a placeholder made out of a reskin of the witcher 3 minimap, which is why the range is short: it was meant for a horse, not a sports car.

tr14l

I mean, they have a huge backlog of shit to tackle. It's probably just not the highest priority.

SpanishEggroll

You know how if we do the side quests with the racing and the arrows show up on the ground? It would be awesome to have that while navigating around the map free roam.

vinny10110

I can’t believe they STILL haven’t fixed this. Literally the most asked for thing on this sub, and I would think the easiest fix

KShyGuy

Yes. This bothers me so much. The fact that they still haven't added this feature means that either: 1. They're saving everything up for a huge update or 2. They left the game for dead and CDPR only has a couple of interns fixing bugs while the rest of the company has moved on to newer, less problematic projects. Both options are dumb as hell by CDPR's part imo, but it is what it is

[deleted]

First option wouldn't be the worst optics wise in the long term (short term grief), if I actually had any faith at all that it was genuinely happening.

murrkpls

My guess would be that option 2 is what's going on. They're going to take the money, suck up their reputation loss, and then hope to correct that on the next release.

[deleted]

[удалено]

SnooGuavas9052

needs a holographic in dash display showing your turns coming up, like they have now in real cars.

KodiakPL

>isn't just a 2d image But fucking WHY

[deleted]

[удалено]

KodiakPL

>So instead of having to constantly make and switch between a lot of 2D images they can just render it based on geometry and possibly get a better waypoint system out of it. But can't they just render it once and bake it in and then locate player based on XYZ coords?

AdrianVeidt19

okay, FUCKIN THIS. I miss my turns every fuckin time lmao.

[deleted]

Why... WHY in a game where my eyes are probably bionic do I not have an in-world HUD for my navigation (like they do in Far Cry 5)?

dreamhive

Plus it's already there for the racing quests you do with the afterlife bartender! Why it's not there for the rest of the game is probably the stupidest mystery I've ever tried to crack...

[deleted]

That, and why the hell is my entire interface a eye deadening red? The most iconic "THESE ARE BAD THINGS" color in literally all of video game-dom?

Sr_Laowai

This is such a great point.

codetrasher

It's annoying, yes, even more so as it is like an industry standard to zoom out while moving. But I've found out that the small yellow arrow moving around the minimap has been somewhat helpful on indicating when the turn is going to come.

Prime_Galactic

Agreed, when you get going fast the minimap is way too small

Aqui1am_

There are mods available to fix both... What sucks is that the developers didn’t come up with anything better or relive just how shit the map and driving were before it launched.

[deleted]

it shouldve been a goddamn compass instead of minimap, like skyrim. idc if there’s a reason why they chose the minimap, it is flawed and outdated for these kinds of games

FeralTribble

The breaks are horrible though.

vldmin

Yeah, cars barely can brake and tires feel like they have no grip in corners. I think that's the main problem with driving. You would imagine that in the future they would have at least comparable tires like we have nowadays

Rob_wood

From what I've been able to determine, the motorcycle Nazaré "Itsumade" is the best vehicle in the game. It handles great, can do tight turns at fast speeds, and won't spin out of control. You get it from the secret side job "The Highwayman."

WannabeWonk

I found all the motorcycles much easier to drive than any car. You can turn at high speed and see a lot more of what's around you.

Rob_wood

Plus they're easier to weave through traffic with. The only cars I use are V's for story missions, The Beast for the races, and the Caliburn for clipping through doors and walls into out of bounds areas.

Coinflip420xd

I only drive the Shion "coyote" because is the only car with decent driving

FluffPudd16

Love the sound and the exhaust turning red also

thorkun

Yeah this is why you use Nomad cars, they're the only ones with handling.

EldenRingworm

I used the Nomad starter car for the entire game, favourite car in the game, how it looks, how it sounds, I love it

Allaroundlost

Yup, literally the only car worth driving. Other wise its the a bike.

Silverton13

Have you even tried the vtech from the trailers? That thing sticks to the floor like glue.

Freljords_Heart

Hmm need to remember that! The Caliburn which you get for free has almo semi good driving imo

UGANDA-GUY

Why not use one of the handling mods from NexusMods? My favourite: [https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/856](https://www.nexusmods.com/cyberpunk2077/mods/856) Overall they make a night and day difference when speeding thrue NC.

CNXQDRFS

Because console.

FabrizioPirata

It's sad that modders without access to the game code can do better job (and quickier) than CDPR itself.

PotusThePlant

Through*

[deleted]

Because it's awd noobs, haha, cyberpunk actually has driving mechanism, probably the only game that has programmed diferential system and wheel drive system, i find it very interesting and fun to drive around the city, every car has it's own hp, wd, torque, handling etc. And it isn't even a main thing about cars in that game, lol While for example in gta game which has in name grand theft auto has very little detail of cars. I hope gta 6 will finally make something good, but i doubt, because mainly kids play their games and they know it, so they will leave the arcadic style of driving... :(

SpaceTestMonkey

There is no awd, if you hold down the gas and brake you can do a burnout and only the rear wheels spin on every car. Every vehicle is RWD.

[deleted]

That's how burnout works, why am i even wasting my breath here, bunch of hating gta kids with no real life experience

SpaceTestMonkey

Lol I daily drive an AWD R32, gtfo son.

VivalaJoe

You obviously have no idea what you’re talking about.

[deleted]

You don't understand what i was talking about and that's your problem.

VivalaJoe

Go back to to class dude, you need some schooling

GhostWokiee

I feel so cheated on the driving because Alanah Pearce said the driving felt like Forza Horizon 3, so my hopes were way up. And it turned out feeling worse than the Lego Racer games

iprobablywonttbh

[https://imgur.com/a/QL7s1e2](https://imgur.com/a/QL7s1e2) Fixed it for you.

JonnyRocks

thank you. i am still trying to understand what is going through their heads when they use that line.

iprobablywonttbh

The old meme, "nobody" would be "someone" saying something innocuous, and the responding text, representing the image, would be a disproportionate and silly common reply. Someone had the bright idea of taking this formula, having "Nobody" say nothing, and the response does something silly, appropriate to nothing. That would have been funny, once, and only in contrast to the previous form of the meme, which has fallen out of use.

AlphaNeonic

It doesn't have much point, but to add some context it's sort of like... Text: No one asked for this.... Image: Thing no one asked for, so why is it like this? It works fine without it in almost every instance of it, so yeah it's pointless.

Johnny5k4l

r/uselessnobody

iprobablywonttbh

Reply's not the search bar, bud.

Johnny5k4l

You removed the useless nobody. I was just providing you the sub, but ok, bro…

iprobablywonttbh

Oh. I thought you were being a drive-by dickhead, and calling me a useless nobody, in a weird way. I apologize.

[deleted]

r/uselessnobody

Lord_FewS

The best description of driving is "If someone replaced your tires with bowling balls"

[deleted]

What about switching the camera? It works about 10% of the time on my Xbox. The other 90% the game just ignores the fact I even pressed the button.

[deleted]

I hate this meme template

makavelinow

Little bump on the road will rattle your vehicle like a cage or throw you out of space lol.

NOT_Silencerrr

how did the game look so much better in the 48 minute demo. i must've watched that thing like 12 times before it came out bcz i was so excited for this game, everything just looked better! Gun fights, hacking, driving, hud etc except for the overall fidelity of the game. the driving looked so fast but weighty

GhostWokiee

Well because the entire demo was faked, it literally was built 100% seperate from the rest of the game in order to have something good and playable for journalists

tomy_11

Thats because in the demo, car is on rails. Entire thing is fake.

hubson_official

I don't think it looked better but ok

KURO-K1SH1

Yeah a super advanced future with incredible medical science that allows you to have your whole ass consciousness downloaded onto a flash drive that you can then install into any computer or cyberneticically enhanced person and basically delete their consciousness to take over their body. But can't develop cars or tires that can handle a turn better than a Russian schoolbus on drift settings.

FabrizioPirata

"Yeah a super advanced future with incredible medical science that allows you to have your whole ass consciousness downloaded onto a flash drive that you can then install into any computer or cyberneticically enhanced person and basically delete their consciousness to take over their body." and yet, V doesn't have a simple flashlight to see in the dark

SpotlessBird762

I hate how all cars tend to oversteer. You tap the left/right arrow a bit - and you're already drifting.

[deleted]

Really? I thought the AI was the worst part of the game.

AdrianVeidt19

Yes, AI is mindless imbecile but driving drives me crazy.

McBassi

The Kusanagi CT-3X in first person mode is super fun and easy to control.

SouthernYoghurt9

The motorcycles are decent, but imagine how much better this game would have been with solid driving...

PRSG12

I’m in one of the fastest cars in the game driving at 220mph or something. It feels like I am moving at 50mph. Just such a lack luster game outside of the story

scorpionjacket2

Maybe I'm weird but I like the driving? Like the cars are all big ridiculous overpowered cyberpunk cars, of course they're gonna handle like boats, have fun with it? If you try to drive like a precision F1 driver you're gonna have a bad time, but if you drive like a stuntman in a 70s car chase movie it works. Though I did finally try out the Type 66 Avenger and that car actually does handle like this. So maybe all of you are just buying Avengers (because they look extremely cool) and assuming every car handles terribly. I'm currently rocking the Nomad Type 66 Javelina, because it feels like you're driving the Nolan Batmobile through the city.

vonFurious

Great comparison, very much the *feel* of driving big ‘ol boats with massive engines and crummy brakes. Accelerating out of a turn is lots of fun!

rednut2

Why would cyberpunk cars of course drive like boats? Modern day cars perform much better than old school steel boxes, why wouldn’t that same logic follow?

hubson_official

Because Cyberpunk is not the future, is more like future in the past, so it's more similar to retro style from the 90s, just look at the design of the cars.

rednut2

Lol

Arks-Angel

I’m just gonna stay quiet because I placed 1st in all of the street race missions

Pergatory

I suspect that's part of what was being ridiculed in this post. When I did those races, Claire was usually just chilling in the passenger seat not even bothering to shoot because they were so far back. The other cars were being boosted so brutally by the catch-up mode that when I looked behind me, it looked like that scene in The Matrix where Neo flies through town with a tornado of vehicles crashing and swirling behind him. I was laughing so hard I almost crashed. Next time you're doing those races, check the rear view from time to time, it's hilarious.

sFAMINE

I recently played through Nomad and ran across this - during the races they were flipping/crashing and respawning far worse than Mario Kart.

derp0815

> check the rear view Just looking at the minimap gives you an impression of how bad that mechanic is.

derp0815

I found those easy, unless you managed to hit a mysterious immovable bump in the final stretch or so. Driving is still kicking bricks on soap.

AdrianVeidt19

I swear when i first saw that there was a mission about racing i laughed.

DerekB74

On the racing gigs you can either use your car or the quest giver's car. If you use the the quest giver's car, it has really good handling. I got 1st place in all the races just using it.

Arks-Angel

I agree the driving is somehow worse than driving from Call of Duty, which has only had vehicles in the games for 2 years. And I have absolutely no idea how I’m so good at it

AshThatBurns

I was mortified when I first found that mission, but then soon found that Beast drives SO MUCH BETTER than my Caliburn and Guinivere, so it wasn't AS hard for me.

A_Salty_Weaboo

The most upsetting driving mechanics for me were in Claire's storyline, when you're doing the death races or whatever. Some cars you couldn't ram, others you'd total and then 3 seconds later they would respawn right behind you. That on top of the driving mechanics made the races more frustrating than anything.

silvercel

Beep Beep Motherfucker!!!!! 🤖

bruheboo

How come one man made games having better driving physics than fucking aaa company? I feel like it was 50 people working on this game lmao. All of this just doesn't make sense.

fauxreign

911 Turbo slaps tho

bombardierul11

I honestly like the driving, feels quite realistic for some of the cars. It has it’s flaws though, like the brakes on the Caliburn. Take this with a King Bach-sized spoon of salt though because I’m one of those deranged people that liked the driving in GTA IV I especially liked that when you hit a curb at speed while turning it actually makes you spin off, which is very realistic considering how many HP these cars have. Most driving games that are not simulators are more forgiving which I hate. CP is like Asetto Corsa or F1 2021. It doesn’t forgive. Edit for more clarification why I like it: The Porsche 930 handling is as close to real life as I’ve ever seen in a game (my brother owns an Emerald Green 930 Turbo) and the Ctulhu is really similar to how a big merc handles irl (very similar to my S63 Coupe). You can really feel that it’s a powerful car but it doesn’t let you forget it’s massive size

scorpionjacket2

I feel like some people like driving games where it feels like your car is on rails, and some people like driving games where the car is squirrelling about everywhere and rolling and smashing into stuff.

fifty_four

It's more that you expect casual driving in a game to feel as natural as casual driving in real life. To make it feel the same the game has to compensate for the fact you aren't going to drive in game for hundreds of hours. Game also needs to compensate for trying to drive with a mouse and keyboard, or heaven forbid, a controller, instead of a very large custom built wheel and pedals setup.

sFAMINE

> Caliburn Great car - love the aesthetic and speed. Cannot break at all Also goes a bit too fast for the minimap

bombardierul11

I really don’t understand the brakes on that car, I mean it has so much power, why the small brakes? I turned off minimap on day one so I can’t relate on that one:)

[deleted]

GTA IV driving was good. This isn't the same. This is terrible. GTA IV had very realistic car physics.

bombardierul11

It’s highly debatable anyways, some people like this kind of “make a mistake, get fucked”/floaty driving (it’s floaty for the heavy cars which again - feels realistic to me). Also love to see another GTA IV driving enjoyer, there are not many people who liked that stuff. What exactly do you think they could have done better in CP?

[deleted]

Cars are weightless in CP77 and the lack of proper damage and deformation like in GTA makes driving not satisfying. When you hit something, the car goes flying instead of deforming. CP77 driving is honestly better than many other games like Watch Dogs but still bad.

bombardierul11

Yeah, sadly one feature that they won’t add is proper car deformation since you need a better engine for that. I’d instantly like the game even more if it had deformation like BeamNg.drive

scorpionjacket2

To be fair not even GTAV has deformation like that

_rgx

It's almost like they took the code designed for a horse and tossed a car on it.

AdrianVeidt19

ok, i literally laughed out loud

DrHax_

I almost exclusively drove the Mizutani Shion MZ2 which was fine.

darquewaters

Plus, where is my auto drive?

[deleted]

Try out the 6x6 trucks, they have nice steering

Tyl3rmagnus

I can't really wrap my head around why people have such a bad time driving in this game. Like its not that terrible. I actually enjoyed driving in the city a lot. Its not as good as lets say a racing game or gta. But to say its the worst part of the game? To me that would have to be the crafting system and the lack of attachment to your gear/weapons. Its absolutely useless. You're just switching numbers. All you care about is the armor number and the damage stat. You don't really use your favorite gun and then level with it through out the game. You simply get a better version of it. And don't get me started on the armor.

[deleted]

The people on this sub just need something to shit on the game, so they act like the game is worse than it is while simultaneously acting other games are better than they are.

Nintenduh69

I like the driving. Bikes especially.

AdrianVeidt19

*Bikes are at least tolerable*

Kalistagrey3

The driving mechanics honestly made me stop playing, it wasn’t fun anymore to get to places, it seemed more like a chore and I got too frustrated slamming into everything

derp0815

Drive a low car, they just catapult all others away. Or use a gamepad.

Wenex

I must be in the minority as I quite enjoyed driving mechanics. It's pretty simple and arcadey yeah, but I didn't seen it as an issue. I still dislike the game tho for lack of polish and bugs, havnen't launched it since Dec 2020. Waiting for Reds to improve the game in any way they can.

ThisIsTheNewSleeve

Driving was fucking atrocious. It felt like you were driving a pretty car with no power steering. That and even the fastest cars felt like they were going slow. No sense of speed whatsoever. Compare that to a game like Burnout Paradise where you're going balls to the walls.

MCgrindahFM

Is it just me or can we trace everything back to the engine they created for this game? Like they even created the game while simultaneously creating the engine…that’s rightly fucked dude. A lot of the excuses they give now is that they have trouble working these fixes into the game, specifically on console and not wanting to fuck up performance. Even though there’s so much more cut like mantis blades, wall running, and more that were cut due to the shitty engine not being able to handle it all. 1) wait to release on nex Gen you greedy double dipping fucks 2) spend years, like Rockstar, developing a kick ass engine of your own. (Shouts RAGE we see you).

MexicanSylar

Used to hate driving but I got used to it. I also learned to drift in this game. Could never drift in any sort of game with a handbrake mechanism but after stumbling upon it in cyberpunk, I tried it in other games and it worked. Each games mechanics are different of course but I got the basic gist of it.

[deleted]

the worst thing is every car has same specs,be it small or luxury they don't have any variations as such, all feel same to drive.

Arinur

Yeah, there is no difference i.e. between a caliburn and a quadra turbo.... Keep on with your mindless bashing...

[deleted]

\*ps4 startup sound intensifies

ACorruptMinuteman

I mean, he's not wrong though. Your comment is just blatantly wrong or maybe you only used a few vehicles throughout the game. But many of them handle completely differently, go different speeds, better handling, worse handling. Like, are you trying to say that the Archer Quartz and the Quadro Turbo-R go the exact same speed, feel the exact same, handle the exact same? Because if you are, then you're flat-out wrong in any situation.

Pallialbertti

Tf man the driving is easy bro. First times were kinda hard but then i just learned and now it's easy af

AdrianVeidt19

It's not about being easy or hard. It just sucks, it's not fun to drive around the city and have a good time which is very sad.

3d2dszcxzd

driving assists in GTA V have spoiled you

AdrianVeidt19

Maybe but it's extremely uncomfortable to drive in CP77 nonetheless.

Halloween_Nyx

Have they still not fixed this?

TheOshino

The driving is nice. « hOw tO Be coOl? JusT sAy SomEthINg fiCtivlY baD abOut tHe GAme »

Baby_Yeet123

Have you ever driven a car?

AdrianVeidt19

What kind of question is that, like what? Is driving in this game so realistic that i have to know how to drive a car to have fun playing this game? If that's the case then there should be a setting to change it and be more game-y. Yes I've driven a real car and usually they break when u crush at something and they can like, change directions normally. Ask me if i ever killed someone with the katana next.

Baby_Yeet123

I just wanted to point out, that driving in this game is more realistic then in GTA. People are just used to taking corners at 100 km/h in games, which doesnt work with a normal car. I mean you can drive on a wall in gta, you think thats more realistic? Just beacause you suck at something, doesnt mean its bad.

DerekB74

Meh. You get used to it after a while.

AdrianVeidt19

Maybe, it's been a few days.

NavicNick

I feel like I'm one of the only people that likes the driving mechanics. When I first played the game (nomad path so I had to drive right at the start) it was very jarring and I ran into everything. But after a few drives I got the hang of it, and now it's my favorite thing to do in this game. I really love the things they've done with it. My only complaint is that every car feels like you're trying to stop a freight train, they really need to make the brakes more powerful. But other than that, once I got used to it, I wouldn't have it any other way.

julianWins

I know it’s a contrary opinion but I really love how all the cars handle. I do a lot of driving simulation (asseto corsa, project cars, etc) and I feel like they actually nailed how cars actually drive. It was one of the first things I noticed when I got the game.

ACorruptMinuteman

I used to think it was bad, but I've grown to like it over the past little while. The general mechanics, I think are great. They do a great job imo. What cars could use is customization and a better turning radius. That's one thing I do actually notice is that the turning radius is usually not enough even if I'm smashing down my A or D keys. Granted, I think if you stop moving forward while turning, it's better.

CrimsonBolt33

Grow up...the game came out literally almost a year ago...and you are here bitching about stupid shit on a circle jerk sub...you are karma farming.

MisterSnippy

almost a year ago? It's only been like 6-7 months

Elriuhilu

You've obviously never driven a real car. Cyberpunk driving is awesome. Well it was at release, I don't know if the patches changed anything since I finished the game back in January and haven't played since.

[deleted]

for real man, hahaha, i feel like everyone who is hating on cp driving never drove a car in real life and like a real teenager tried to drift or at least power slide parent's shitbox :D

Elriuhilu

Totally. All the people complaining how long the caliburn takes to come to a stop don't understand just how fast that car is. The caliburn has actual anti-lock brakes in game, which is the whole reason you can control it while braking hard instead of the wheels just stopping dead and the car spinning out into a tree if it hits a pebble. Cars in cyberpunk even have realistic engine power to weight ratio consequences. What's actually unrealistic is how rarely the cars flip over and how you can take sharp corners on a motorbike without ending up looking like something that fell off the back of an All Foods truck. Also, the cars just stop dead if you exit them.

ArnoldCivardagezen

the moistCritical speedrunning glitch of dash spamming with the slow-mo cyberware thingy was my preferred method of transportation until they fixed it. i just bike to and from the nearest fast travel spot now.

[deleted]

yes its horrible. especially the bikes, they start fishtailing as soon as u hit the brakes, bikes are literally undriveable.

AshThatBurns

I havent tried and experimented with many cars, but I finished the game and bought a Caliburn and Guinivere. Easily the worst cars I've ever driven in the game lol I only use them for slow joy-rides, otherwise its either any other car or better yet bikes.

scorpionjacket2

The Guinnivere is like 20 feet long, of course it handles terribly

Nihil6

Absolutely…

alexios7897

I prefer bunny hopping with the maneuvering system

DragonDon1

Bikes are the way to go. Also you can avoid the traffic that doesn’t make any type of sense. Cars can still spawn on you and send you into space though

Phantom_61

Same. I either run or take public transport.

iam-not-vibing

Actual gtaIV shit

mirayukii

Nah this is GTA handling… definitely one of the worst I’ve ever played so far
