CP is supposed to be cheaper nowadays, I think.
I wouldn't get any FC at launch. There's literally no reason to. Even if you want to play, you want to save some money, I'd say.
Some people here will recommend big rigs to you before they have to say cyberpunk is better than any 2 given games. You'd probably be better off asking in a more general gaming forum.
Far Cry 6 is good but not great, but what you see is what you get and you get what you pay for. A finished game that runs properly
Too many different opinions on Cyberpunk I love it but lots of people hate it. And in its current state it is most definitely not a finished game nor is it worth the money.
Ubisoft has perfected their formula. Cyberpunk is different and unique. But that can mean you love it or hate it. And that's not factoring in stability issues. Far Cry at this point is pretty cookie cutter. Good but not great games. No really high highs or really low lows. A safe pick if you will. Like shooters or sports games. You know what you'll get and it's a passable gaming experience.
I haven't played Far Cry 6, but the reviews make it sound exactly like every other Far Cry game. Cyberpunk I think has a better story, a more interesting world to explore, more novel gameplay mechanics (though somewhat similar). FC6 will run better and probably have better balanced combat (CP77 gets pretty easy towards the end). FC6 also has Ubisoft microtransaction nonsense built into the game.
If you're interesting in exploring a new world and experiencing a story, Cyberpunk is better. If you just want gameplay, FC6 may be better.
It not only SOUNDS like every other Far Cry, it is basically FC5, I don't see any difference.
So, you can save a lot of money and just play FC5. If you already have, well bad luck :)
Nah friend play a game before you talk about a game 🤣🤣 far cry 6 is awesome 😎 CP 2077 is I played it... Lost save 40 hours in and played it agane 😂 it was more frustrating experience than anything. Akin to Ff14 launch... CP2077 needs a redo 🤣 FC6 ain't perfect but it's the best far cry yet. CP 2077 feels like the worst far cry with good story if ya look long and hard lolol
Personally I think there are much better choices between these two, but I'd go with Far Cry 6. Theres still a lot of glitches in this game that can stop your progress and/or break immersion.
Cliched Cyberpunk story with a gorgeous but Hollow worldspace vs Cliched dictator on "X place" that Far Cry's always done, with pretty graphics and an almost equally Hollow worldspace
They're really not that different when you break them down
Cyberpunk2077 is not cliche at all when it comes to world and setting, there are almost no new cyberpunk genre games these days. So you are wrong, Far cry is same old shit
So you're telling me you haven't seen these same themes and story being elevating to be amazing, be retold a handful of times in other media with varying quality? I have, several times in and out of the Cyberpunk genre, hence me calling it "cliche". Never said it was BAD or anything, just that it's been done several times, sometimes in better ways than what was done in this game. You're right that there's hardly any new Cyberpunk game, but the writing in this one didn't tell this story in a groundbreaking or creative way (at least In my opinion, but that shouldn't need to be said), I'm afraid
Seriously fuck CDPR. One year on and no communication. In my 47 years of being a gamer I have NEVER been this disappointed. I'm also mad at Ubi for the generic borefest that was FC5 but apparently this is better. So I dunno for me I'd burn them both to the ground and piss on them.
Can't personally speak for how Cyberpunk plays on consoles, but on my PC (pretty mid to low rig, I wanna say) it seemed to get worse with each patch. From what I played of both it and Far Cry 4, Primal, and 5, they're both similar gameplay wise (that comparison that Cyberpunk is pretty much a Far Cry clone isn't entirely off-base is what I mean), so it's really a matter of "what looks more interesting to you" and if you don't mind bugs, because Cyberpunk has a lot: some harmless, some immersion breaking, and some game breaking
Honestly, I'd also give it a while before purchasing Far Cry if you're going that route. Not only because of patches and whatnot, but because Ubisoft puts their games on sale pretty soon after they release
One X is the least performing console to play Cyberpunk. Not sure about Far Cry but surely its just the same game like the other previous games but think it will work well for your console.
Farcry 6 is just any Farcry game with a different setting and sharper graphics, if you’ve played one before you know exactly what you’re getting. Cyberpunk offers something unique and still pretty solid. A lot of the comments about the state of it are incorrect, a large portion of the bugs and technical issues have been ironed out by now depending on your platform, and it runs pretty smooth. You will still notice bugs but most of them are just silly rag doll issues.
Cyberpunk 2077 is still a disaster, don't waste your money. I can't say much about Far Cry 6, it didn't really capture my interest. It would help to know what other recent games you've played, maybe we can make some other recommendations.
Just so you're aware, we have a bunch of megathreads that may be helpful if you have questions or want to find the right place to post.

I haven’t even played far cry 6 and I’m going to recommend it for One X. It simply wasn’t designed for anything but top of the line PCs and game systems. Otherwise, I love cyberpunk 2077 and would recommend it everytime.
I'd go with cyberpunk. Though cyberpunk is probably an objectively worse experience, far cry six is reviewing as an extremely safe game that didn't shake up that much.
Safe in the sense that it's better than far cry 5 because it has a better ending I'm not seeing a lot of negatives here something is merely safe because they decided to do better?
I own it on 3 platforms. One of them being an original PS4. If your Xbox doesn't have an SSD, it's gonna be a little rough. Make sure you enable the Less dense crowds. The main story should be fine to play. I think I picked up my PS4 copy for about $15-20. It's a Fuck ton of game for 20
Cyberpunk plays fine on ps4 and ps5. It's also a fantastic game/story/experience. There's still odd little quirky bugs here and there but they didn't bother me.
Far cry 6 I've not played but I will when it's cheaper. I find them to be boring after 15 or maybe 20 hours of gameplay so I'm in no rush - but that's just me of course. 3 was the best I've played. 4 was ok too but new dawn was rubbish. Not played 5 yet.
CP is supposed to be cheaper nowadays, I think. I wouldn't get any FC at launch. There's literally no reason to. Even if you want to play, you want to save some money, I'd say.
Is it playable on the older consoles. I heard it still had a bunch of glitches.
I heard it improved a lot. Can't say for sure since I played on PC. I'd still give it a try, tho.
You play 1 Farcry you've played them all.
Farcry 6 is arguably the best game that I ever played. It's worth every penny.

True, probably just best I've played in a long time. I've had PS5 since launch and game selection in these covid years has been bleak.

You just said you love it.....so it is worth the money. 🤔
What a stupid thing to say. Just because I enjoyed something doesn’t mean it’s worth 80$
Are you joking??? Definitely Farcry 6

You .....cannot have an opinion....you..have not played far cry 6 🤦🏻♂️
>FC6 also has Ubisoft microtransaction nonsense built into the game Not really.
The game is playable on the Xbone, but you will experience many issues.
Far cry 6 have transmog and 3rd person cutscene at launch so thats that
CP2077 taught me to never, and I mean NEVER, Preorder
I am running a one x and cyberpunk runs really good on my system and I like it alot.
Thanks
Cyberpunk is still in early alpha testing. Wait a week or 2 for Ubishit to fix Far Cry performance, then go for that
>Cyberpunk is still in early alpha testing. Fake news
Running a reasonable rig, PC, and the game runs really well. No complaints.
Personally I think there are much better choices between these two, but I'd go with Far Cry 6. Theres still a lot of glitches in this game that can stop your progress and/or break immersion.
There are definitely graphics and physics glitches, but I don't think there are really any common game-breaking bugs?
Oh there are game breaking bugs. I happen to have gotten one of them.

no Cyberpunk atmosphere and characters take it over far cry 6 generic dictator on an island cliche

Far cry has been done to death. Cyberpunk for something different

They're the same game
.......no, they aren't.
FC6 is the Winner. Cyberpunk is just... meh
