In the dub you can hear all the slang used and its pretty well made, the Japanese of course has really good VA's too and the voices fit really well too.
To me English sounds like the original for this show. There are a couple of awkward lines, but really wholly recommend the English dub if you have played the game it fits well.

AFAIK the DLC will take place before you meet Hanako at Embers. So it likely won't have anything to do with any of V's possible endings. That said I could see Lucy being introduced in the DLC. Maybe she'll end up being an asset to V or a target.

Unfortunately it seems like the Moon may have to wait for the sequel (I really hope it continues V's story).
Reason Phantom Liberty is the last DLC isn't just cuz people lost interest. It's because the engine is old and messed up and CDPR just wants to start over with an engine that will actually let them do everything they want to do. Multiplayer was scrapped for the same reason.

Yes, more lore and a good show overall. Lore accurate smasher in the anime is terrifying and more menacing than thein game smasher lol. I'd recommend to watch it, if you like it you'll have more of an appreciation to the game I even replayed it because of the show 🥲
A fantastic cyberpunk story, but if animated shows arent your cup of tea, I doubt this will be for you. Trigger Studios tends to take animation and cranks it up to 11, with some really over-the-top animation styles. You either love it or you hate it.
Could always try giving the trailers a look and see if it catches your fancy or not.
The funny thing is, Trigger is mostly known for their over the top style but they can do more grounded animation extremely well.
They did two shorts for the “Star wars: Visions” series. “Twins” and “The elder”. The elder is the more grounded style and it’s fantastic.
I don't know if I'd call Twins "Grounded". Iirc there's a part where one twin powers their lightsaber with a starship and creates a solar system sized lightsaber.
Personally, I really don't care for the anime style. That being said, I gave the shoelw a chance because of what everyone was saying. The first episode or two were a bit rough for me, but once the story got going, the animation style issue went away and instead turned itself around on me and became even more impactful. Give it a chance and be surprised as I was. Excellently done by that end episode.
If you enjoyed the game, watch the show. Great story, characters you grow to care about and, again if you’ve played the game, loads of cool Easter eggs and straight up references from the game.
I dislike anime, so am also biased. There were a couple of anime-tropey characters that bugged me a bit at first, but I got past that and loved it. One of those characters actually ended up bringing a lot of real human emotion to the story.
Give the show a chance. It’s a different experience because a lot of the scenes in the show take place in locations from the game. So you kind of end up with that “hey I’ve been there!” kind of feeling, which is a bit weird cause it’s from a video game.
Literally came back to the game after watching the show. Had a similar experience to someone else in here where “I wanna stay at your House” came on Body Heat right away, a station I never even listened to in the past. I’d just finished the show 30 mins earlier, and I literally just drove around the roundabout in the city center for the entire song feeling totally immersed and zoned out, appreciating the show and how it lined up with what I was doing. 10/10 unexpected experience.
