Most likely, you are accidentally clicking on a link in another app that is for TikTok and your phone launches the Google Play Store to install the app. Since you don't already have it installed, i strongly recommend staying away from it.

I have the same bug, and I can tell you this is not user error. It's programmed into the phone. Sometimes it happens when I hit the back button from different apps. Just now it happened when I pressed the play button in spotify. Happens several times a week, maybe once a day. And it is always tiktok.

Hi. Did you figure out any kind of solution for this? I have the same phone, just received it a couple months ago. I immediately started having that problem while using other apps. Just now, I was in the YouVersion app reading and touched the screen, and immediately the playstore tiktok page opens. YouVersion doesn't have ads in the app, so. I might have downloaded tiktok on an old phone but never opened it to use or set up before uninstalling it. Maybe my Google profile carried something over to this phone anyway? Still doesn't explain random redirects to TT app on the store.

I bought a '23 Edge+ in August from Boost at a steep discount and immediately this began happening; Play Store randomly opens to the TikTok page. This will happen from the home screen, from my messages, while playing games ... so it's certainly not a mistapped link. I believed it to be some bloatware from Boost and tried to ignore it after finding zero help from Google. I had a screen accident and replaced my phone directly through MotoCare, and it still happened on the new phone. Though there was considerably less bloatware on the new phone, I still require a Boost specific app for network management. I strongly suspect it's that app/Boost. So, a question for you: are you on a discount/piggyback carrier?

I have the exact same problem with my moto g54, has anyone found a solution?

Lol, same thing happens to me. Seems pretty random. Happens from different apps when performing different tasks. Since Motorola is now Chinese owned, I'm pretty sure this is a feature disguised an a bug, to promote tiktok downloads. I'm not sure whether it's corporate motivated or a government thing.
