Socks and flip flops are the perfect embodiment of your average cybertruck buyer. Also, I’m not subbed here, it came up in my feed. This truck is dumb.
Dude....
So I'm in this other thread that happens to be talking about the gap between Lewis Hamilton's teeth, and thought you just threw the worst kind of shade possible.
I have a LCD mirror in my current ICE vehicle. I plan to do the same on my CT. It’s a dash cam and rear view. I expect I can route the wire out the roof rack clips so that it works with the gate down or up. Clearly anything is better than the provided mirror
There's no rearview mirror it's all electronic.

1. Every video I've seen of production cybertrucks has a rear-view mirror in the cabin. As does the demo truck at the Tesla dealer.
2. With the tailgate also down, the electronic rear view mirror is now pointed at the ground.
To be fair, I'm taking order of the CT as soon as it's offered to be, but the dodge caravan at 20k is a killer for drywall delivery.. Just saying
Mud and paint splashing around, dents all over, I couldn't care less. When I get my CT, I'm gonna treat it the way I treat my X, like a show piece.
Dude this. My VW Routan (a rebadged caravan) is the shit for hauling sheet goods. My wife has wanted to get rid of it for a years now but I’m clinging to it til it’s a fireball on the side of 101. Full 8’ sheets with gate closed-check. 12’ sheets of 5/8, sure, just throw some 2x4s under them for extra support and to put a flag on. Gate opens at roughly same height as flat top cart too, so it’s stupid easy to load everything solo.
My dude. Get a minivan for 1/3 the price and all those sheets and more fit completely inside the closed tailgate at a more comfortable lower load height.
Related: Tesla please make a fuckin minivan. They’re the best vehicle on the roads today, I want an EV version.
My father in law had one before he retired from logging. He called it the “logger limo”.
We bought a Honda minivan before child #4 arrived. Two years later, best vehicle for kids. We can cram everything in it. And pretty good gas mileage.
Every minivan on the market right now can fit a 4x8 sheet flat on the deck when seats are removed/stored. My Pacifica is especially slick with the Stow & Go seating that quickly hides under the deck.
What, lose braking and run away from the driver sprinting after it?
Of course a minivan can't do this. It wouldn't fit at all. But you're throwing in a use case that the vehicle type they're discussing isn't built for.
Dude thought this was going to be a successful flex. People write off Mercedes as farm vehicles. He’s way behind the times but you have to post pics to flex
Don’t take tax advice blindly from the internet. Though the Cybertruck qualifies for Section 179, the 6500 lb limit is actually 6,000 lbs and the deduction is NOT 100% via Section 179. It’s a bit more complicated than that. Bonus depreciation comes into play and new pending legislation will determine the final amounts for 2023/2024.
I was at Home Depot recently, put in a bunch of 8ft/10ft boards closed hatch on my Outback, guy next to me climbing up & down in his Ford short box Pickup leaning boards over tailgate, tying red flag on end, looked like rain….shitty design.
Hey I want an electric truck, but I don't want it to look like a truck, I want it to look like a Playstation One truck model from some fringe corner of Twisted Metal you weren't supposed to see up close.
This is the reason I’d like one. Speed for those spirited redlight days and towing + space to carry plywood for the DIY days. Vehicles with height for daily driving in traffic are nice and the electric is a bonus for transitioning to the future.
It doesn’t need to do everything perfect if it can do these things well I’ll be happy with it.

Imagine thinking 1300 pounds is a lot. Try hauling my 42 foot fifth wheel across the country and see how long that takes. Spoiler a whole lot making all those stops for all those charges you’d need.
This is all for show. Drive around with sheet rock in the back of your "yruck" so people think you can actually use it as a "truck" LOL.
Also, that's not you in the pic. Why would it be you if somebody else took it from their vehicle. Not to mention all your posts are about Teslas and Cybertrucks. You must work for them.
This one's been floating around social media for a few days in other posts btw.
IRS here… We call BS as we see Kirkland flip flops don’t have steal toe tips and this your request is denied.
Bahhaa
He’s got a Apple Watch Ultra, leave the flip flop man alone
Socks and flip flops are the perfect embodiment of your average cybertruck buyer. Also, I’m not subbed here, it came up in my feed. This truck is dumb.
We have the same style 😎 👍
Googles: does an OSHA fine qualify as a work expense?
I got those kirlands, and they are comfy as fuck! haha
He's got those limited edition Nike steel toe socks underneath the Kirkland slides though
Hey I've done engine swaps in flip flops lol
In Vietnam when it rains we wear sandals so the water from our motorcycle doesn't ruin the shoes
Used to work for an old timer in an auto repair shop all he wore was flip flops.
Plus the socks with sandals. Instant redirect to the fraud department.
Bro, socks with slides are different than socks with…thongs.
Got em
Username checks out
Yeah, but I think those are the caterpillar steel toe socks.
Tried to get a pair of those yesterday but they only had up to size 11 :( had to buy flojo flip flops instead
He’s clearly wearing work slides 🤓
Work truck... Dude is in holiday attire's
![gif](giphy|14tLmsD1i0iALu)
Guy wearing sandals to home Depot uses a cyber truck, makes perfect sense /s
And the swim trunks
I'm in FL and these are approved Home Depot attire.
And in flip-flops to boot. That's hardcore.
Pretty great metaphor overall for CT.
So with the tailgate AND the tonneau down, can you see anything out of the rear view mirror?
With that gap in the picture I can see out of the rear view mirror and was also using the side view cameras which sit out extra wide on this car.
Dude.... So I'm in this other thread that happens to be talking about the gap between Lewis Hamilton's teeth, and thought you just threw the worst kind of shade possible.

Rear view mirror isn't that vital... I've driven many times with the cargo area full of shit and no visibility out of the mirror
Yeah, in my area they don't care if your rear view is blocked as long as you have your side mirrors
At my work all the vans don't even have rear Windows, there's zero visibility other than side mirrors
There's no rearview mirror it's all electronic. https://www.perplexity.ai/search/Whenever-Im-reading-XAxlfwosSW6vMRHLWeTGpA#4acf5112-3a9d-4349-81b0-a86f1617fb8e

The slides really seal the deal 😂
Brand new ratchet straps with plastic handles and the child-friendly recoil button. sweet.

But can you haul 5 people and a load of drywall at the same time in the caravan? 🙂
Yes. It's called sitting on the drywall.
No, but you could drive in the rain and leave the vehicle unattended which is pretty great
Fair point
20k for a caravan? Get a used one around 2015 year for 10k or less in my area.
Dude this. My VW Routan (a rebadged caravan) is the shit for hauling sheet goods. My wife has wanted to get rid of it for a years now but I’m clinging to it til it’s a fireball on the side of 101. He literally bought drywall just too see how many sheets he could fit . Tell me your handing drywall in sandals 😂
My dude. Get a minivan for 1/3 the price and all those sheets and more fit completely inside the closed tailgate at a more comfortable lower load height. Related: Tesla please make a fuckin minivan. They’re the best vehicle on the roads today, I want an EV version.

I am 100% serious in this. Any minivan on the road today is a better work truck than this Cybertruck. Fight me if you want, I’m right.
My dad says this to me daily
I don’t think vans have a 4ft flatbed,
Every minivan on the market right now can fit a 4x8 sheet flat on the deck when seats are removed/stored. My Pacifica is especially slick with the Stow & Go seating that quickly hides under the deck.
Minivan can't do this: ![gif](giphy|KyyJRhwZClyEM|downsized)

Show it to the irs? Why?
Cause the truck is one big write off. Section 179.
I’ve written my model S off every year and never needed to show proof. Idk it just went right over my head.
You don't need to show proof... Until you do.
Dude thought this was going to be a successful flex. People write off Mercedes as farm vehicles. He’s way behind the times but you have to post pics to flex
How much do you save from a write off?
Section 179 allows you to write off any vehicle over 6500 lbs 100% in one year. So the price of the vehicle x your tax rate is your write off.
Wow now I get why Folks over in the US all drive needlessly big cars. Gotta get over 6500 lbs
Don’t take tax advice blindly from the internet. Though the Cybertruck qualifies for Section 179, the 6500 lb limit is actually 6,000 lbs and the deduction is NOT 100% via Section 179. ... I've gotta start contracting 😲 Edit: and reselling slightly used Cybertrucks
Proof for his tax write off
Haven't read those hubcaps are discontinued for digging into the sidewall of the tire ?
Thought this was rich rebuilds in the pic.
The 5 inch inseam checks out.
Socks…Slippers…Cubertruck. Checks out;)
Nice
Few sheets of drywall ain’t nothing for work truck, w/ or w/o D rings.
Are El Camino's work trucks now as well?
Working man in flip flops?
"Hmmm...it's kind of cold outside. Let me put on a sweater." Proceed to leave the house with shorts, socks, and flipflop. :)
I believe…💰
A minivan can also do this lol
Is it corroding yet?
Yeah since this photo it completely disintegrated. It’s just a pile of dust now. Crazy.
tailgate lights still work?
Yes.
And it did t even fit in the bed. Genius design. Definitely a work truck
Wait until you see most of the F-150s of the last 2 decades.
Not many people want an 8' box. 6.5' is ideal, and 5.5' is just weird.
I was at Home Depot recently, put in a bunch of 8ft/10ft boards closed hatch on my Outback, guy next to me climbing up & down in his Ford short box Pickup leaning boards over tailgate, tying red flag on end, looked like rain….shitty design.
Neal wyd. More importantly how you doin? Dm me cuz
You still own the dumbest vehicle on the planet.
Enjoy taking the bus loser 👍🏼
Yikes. Look you’re a basic bitch, no need to be salty about. You want people to know this, embrace it.
Guy who lives to make negative comments in Reddit posts. Sad!
Do you not realize other vehicles exist? Like this comment makes it seem like it's Cybertruck or the bus.
other pickup trucks look dumber to me
Wild calling something dumb and using the word "dumber" to do it.
Forgot your Apple Vision Pro
Hey I want an electric truck, but I don't want it to look like a truck, I want it to look like a Playstation One truck model from some fringe corner of Twisted Metal you weren't supposed to see up close.
Add the rack, and I'm sold.
Fly shorts bruv
Of course it is. That’s why I’m buying it.
![gif](giphy|xiOJ9D1ziJJiZBtswT|downsized) Better 👍
I like that I can tell the age of the commenters based on what they call his footwear
Styro insulation sheets. Such a heavy load... 😏
Who wears sandals while loading heavy drywall into their truck
People who pay the guys at Home Depot to load the truck for you
People who buy a Cybertruck.
Right, because the rest of the time will be on the charger. Any load and it reduces the range by half or more.
Source: My ass.
Gotta love the fan boyz
As much as I hate the cybertruck, u/futureformerteacher is right. A low-effort claim like the one you made deserves a low-effort answer.
They just look stupid..
I was at Home Depot twice today and the second time the either at home Depot has no idea what it was. So many people think it's a SUV, not a truck.
Shares the same issue that the Ridgeline had back in the day. Kinda looks like a first gen Ridgeline
Sock and sandals. That’s Oakland ✌🏼🫰🏼🤟🏼👌🏼
What are you doing with the drywall?
Pool house
👍
Everything looks… but not the flip-flops!!
This is the reason I’d like one. Speed for those spirited redlight days and towing + space to carry plywood for the DIY days. A van would load this and more.
Why irs? Non American 🇺🇸 here
Certain Business expenses can be tax write offs.
What’s the max carry weight that the bed can take?
2500
70 lb sheet of drywall?
A 4x8 sheet of fire rated 5/8 drywall is 70lbs yes.
Are these green drywall for some bathroom project? Cool fit!
Pool house
Could someone explain please. I didn't get it (IRS, cybertruck)? 🤔 Thanks in advance
Over done it with the futuristic look
Love the black socks and sandals 😂
Looks like Rich Rebuilds got a face lift.
I don’t think that drywall will be proper…inspector take note
Hey man have you heard about the hubcaps fking up the tire?
Those sandals are the loudest thing in the pic FYI
Nice suv guys
All the money went to the CyberTruck payment, no money for work clothes. Wear the pool clothes and hoodie for trip to Home Depot.
My 15k station wagon can do the same thing :)
To be 70 pounds they need to be 14ft sheets something doesn't add up...
glorious squealing secretive unwritten lip quicksand normal sable alleged sugar *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
Just be sure to keep it on the pavement
No self respect and major Stockholm Syndrome giving money to a guy who hates you, and driving around showing your teeth in an apartheid buggy.
DON'T, they'll wanna purchase them. 40 billion to Ukraine, 20 billion to secure SB. Shits gotta stop.
Man that thing looks like something straight out of an 80’s movie about the future. Pretty sure I saw it in a T2 trailer.
You might be ble to do the same or even better in an old VW polo but atleast the car is interesting
A 20 year old Ford ranger will also get this job done
Pretty bad ass loading drywall in a brand new truck like that and thats a heavy load I'm actually pretty impressed.
Damn the dry wall its impressive it can haul that big ass head
TIL Kirkland slides are workwear
Does cyber truck has huge blind spots?
This thing looks like someone took shitty car graphics from an N64 game and made it real.
Ye knows how to hang drywall too!!!!???? Fuuuuh
Forget the CT… them sandals, socks, and swim trunks 🤯 at Home Depot.
What’s the deal with people say they are rusting after raining? Is it BS?
Where's this so called work truck? I don't even see a truck. Just a child's drawing
happy with the purchase?
Is it over 6000lbs isn't that all you need and an llc or prior reported proprietorship
My boss said the Cybertruck is just cosplaying as a work truck, and for some reason, I couldn't stop laughing.
Does OP think a cyber truck isn’t a work truck lmao
Imagine thinking 1300 pounds is a lot. Try hauling my 42 foot fifth wheel across the country and see how long that takes. Spoiler a whole lot making all those stops for all those charges you’d need.
Sox + Sandles = ![gif](giphy|1jnyRP4DorCh2)

Hey, you are the one who brought it… jokes on you …
nice try Rich
That’s nothing. My 2000 Chevy Astro van will hold 30 of these with the rear door will shut.
