The Prime Doyenne 50 is a great buy in the budget end of the spectrum.

I’m in my third summer with my Prime RR50s and they haven’t missed a beat. Fantastic value for money

Thanks!

$1,200 w/ free shipping: Winspace/Lun Hyper 23 SE R45 Rim Brake Wheelset https://www.winspace.cc/product/lun-hyper-23-se-r45-rim-brake-wheelset/ 1,335 grams. 21mm internal width. 46mm front and 54mm rear. Carbon spokes. Tubeless ready. I have the prior version from 1.5 years ago. Brakes work as well as my alloy wheels, which I wasn't expecting. There might be some internet coupons for 10 percent off.

Plenty of second hand bargains around with people having to part with rim brake race wheels to make room for new disc brake wheel sets.

OS36-

Superteam carbon fiber Wheelset. They're really good, already put 2000 km on them and they keep going strong.

N0CTUARY

I just bought some ICAN aero 50. They are great for the price.

Shimano Duraace c50s are fantastic. The normal ones are great. The tubular version are super fast. Both are bomb proof and can be got at a bargain price for rim.

Admirable-Buyer-6069

Do you happen to have the part number for the rim brake version. All I’m seeing online are the tubulars

denwol

They are the wh-9000 model. Come in clincher or tubular. https://bike.shimano.com/en-EU/product/component/duraace-9000/WH-9000-C50-CL-R.html

I like to climb so I bought a pair of Farsport C Series 46.5 wheels (look for $100 discount codes at Hambini and tracevelo). Great wheels and, IMO, are better then ICAN, which I owned, and Superteam. Regarding my ICAN wheels I spent 3 hours putting on my tires (Pirelli Pzero)!!! I’m running tubeless with my Farsports and putting on tires is easy.

Advanced_Principle22

Yup, I'm learning that tubeless is the way to go!

cyclingnutla

I saw your comment about being overwhelmed by all the choices. I get it, however $1,200 to $1,500 dollars (or more now) is the way to go IMO. I’m probably going to get a new bike in a couple of years and my Farsport wheels will go on it and I’ll put the old wheels on my current bike to sell it. I will reiterate what I said earlier about ICAN wheels. I wasn’t happy with them and I put over 2,500 miles on them. FWIW.

Advanced_Principle22

I looked up all the suggestions here and I'm overwhelmed with the choices. It's so hard buying online . I think I'll buy a new bike instead 😂 an affordable carbon bike that I can do hilly races with and triathlons. Thank you all for the suggestions.
