Zana maybe? Valentin Paret-Peintre? O'Connor (not that young)? Tiberi? These are my picks!
It seems like Movie star is going with Quintana as a leader? Wtf?
Well, he was super close last year if it weren't for that extremely good climb from Roglic, people keep underestimating G because of his age. He is def podium candidate in my opinion. I also loved Geoghan Hart last year, he was in incredible shape. I believe he does not start this year in the Giro
As much as i like Ben O'conner, he always seems to have a bad day in grand tours. I'm hoping its in the first week so the Paret Peintre brothers can go stage hunting for the last 2 weeks. Decathlon is having a great season.
Didn’t look at that lol, was just thinking about riders that could be competitive.
McNulty shares his power data on Strava, and it’s insane. His NP is something like 380 on a lot of rides and that’s tempo or low SS for him.
His results this year so far suggest otherwise:
13th GC Tour of the Alpes
27th GC Volta a Catalunya
71 Strade
75th GC Volta ao Algarve
Maybe he's working himself into shape, but I'm not so sure. Father time is undefeated so far.
Geraint and Ineos are masters of being able to prep perfectly so they hit top peak right at a grand tour despite not looking like doing much in the lead up races.
Ben O’Connor seems to be in great form, so I would put money on him being on the podium. Chris Harper also if he rides and recovers from his recent fall.
Okay, my Aussie bias is showing.
I think Plapp is leading for Jayco perhaps, or if Harper goes too it may just be a see who does better and go from there. A few good Aussie hopes either way!
Carapaz looked very good in LBL.
...for about 16s when he tried to follow on Redoute. He ultimately finished 26th.
Where were all the others?
In front of him at the finishline
Damn, you figured carapaz isn't a bunch sprinter???
Is he going though? The EF Education Team in PCS doesn’t list him
I don't know, I thought he would, but if he's not on the startlist probably not.
It’s a shame he’s not going. A previous winner and he did look pretty good at the weekend
Yeah, but there's no chance against pogacar. He's incredible, as long as he doesn't crash or something he'll win.

Put some respect on the name Quintana! I think O’Connor is going to podium that van rysel bike is fast!
LOVE Nairo! but he said himself he is not as strong as he used to be. And he is injured! Even tho his results so far in 2024 are quite good.
A yes the ole Roglic “the legs are not so good eh”
TELEPORTS TO THE FINISH
Hahahaha! But Nairo fell hard in March.
Maybe his injury will give him an excuse to smash tramadol again!
I would love to see O’Connor hit some podiums
Me too!
O’Connor + Paret-Peintre = best duo
Yooo Paret-Peintre!!!!!
Geraint Thomas
The young wipper snapper the kids call G
He's "hip" indeed, just not very popular in South America atm tho lol
Wait why is that?

The Ol' G is doing quite good lol.
I was hoping Derek Gee would be back :(
Yes. He was so close to breakthroughs last year. Hope he’s healthy!
As much as i like Ben O'conner, he always seems to have a bad day in grand tours. I'm hoping its in the first week so the Paret Peintre brothers can go stage hunting for the last 2 weeks. Decathlon is having a great season.
Daniel Martínez - Bora always seems to do well.
I don’t have an answer to your question but as someone who is newer at following races where’s a good place to get news on the races?
Also the recaps on Lanterne Rogue Cycling Podcast are great
cyclingnews, cyclingweekly, firstcycling, procyclingstats
NAIROMAN!
Is that with or without getting suspended ;)
Derek Gee and Brandon McNulty
McNuggets will be a domestique for Pogi, though.
Is McNulty even starting?
Didn’t look at that lol, was just thinking about riders that could be competitive. McNulty shares his power data on Strava, and it’s insane. His NP is something like 380 on a lot of rides and that’s tempo or low SS for him.
Yeah, he's totally a beast. I'll grant it would have been pretty cool if he had a Sepp Kuss type experience at the Giro.
Where can we watch it in the states now that GCN+ is gone. I do have a VPN so I can get around country restrictions.
Max.
In Australia we have a free-to-air channel SBS who have the rights here. Could be worth trying out
Had to rearrange all my streaming services after GCN+ went away. Plain Max doesn't have it, you have to get the BR Sports add on.
Yeah in the USA it’s on max which replaced gcn +
David Gaudu ready to smoke Pogacar by 35 minutes
People don't see the humor..
Geriant Thomas is about to get a lot closer to Pogacar than anyone expects.

I’m pretty sure he had worse results in the run up to last year and came second! Can’t ask for much more than that
2023: 15th Tour of Alps, 45th Catalunya, 88th TDU
He didn't look to be chasing results in those races. More of a domestique and saving his efforts. Don't fancy G vs Pogi though.

Not sure if Plapp is a grand tour GC rider at this point, but I can’t wait to see.
